  1. But I've had a mustache since I was 20yo. No one ever said anything. My stach-fu is weak because it just got trimmed.
  2. You Know if Cain was White he'd be called Hitler and the meaning of 9-9-9 would be NO-No-No! Hank is right!
  3. Try stromtrooper.com classifieds.
  4. You didn't help me win my helmet cam from Leo Vince. Oh well, I'm just a nice guy cause I still liked it.
  5. Ever have the last man in a group disappear? Well, I had a rider drop off while heading back after off roading. Fresh pavement and nice twisties got me going after an initial run up to 100mph with knoby tires. I don't like the wide angle lens, it doesn't show things very well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYaAVO733VM
  6. Mines so slow I started downloading this thread on Friday.
  7. Because I was sliding backwards . You guys defiantly fly around on those bikes.
  8. Yeah, back then it was crappy. I'll find out tomorrow if it is still as nice as it was a few weeks ago.
  9. I had to redo my HD vs KTM video so Utube wouldn't sue me for using Ice T's song colors. I liked it better with his song in it though. :-( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIIm5NRsbhk
  10. Don't wanna know what that did to his homeowners insurance but if you had his money, "who cares!"
  11. Carefull, I mean 4th pinned on you bike is what? Around 10 mph.
  12. Weather for the ride area tomorrow is--> Partly sunny, with a high near 73. Southwest wind between 8 and 17 mph. Lets hope their right!
  13. Wow, I've been to Richland twice now right after several days of rain and had no issues so I thought Pike would be similar. How long ago were you at Richland? My last trip down was two weeks ago on the KLR and it was fine for our group ride to go thru. Interesting how conditions of trails can change so fast. Oh, the KLIM pants with the pads saved my legs and ass in those falls!
  14. Hell, I was laughing about it. It was so greasy. Honestly the KTM has been thru much worse but when you knock the legs out from under it the bike becomes a 500lb paper weight. When I went to pick the bike up and it slipped sideways falling again I knew that I was in some really greasy shit. I cut out 17 min of Tim and I wrestling with the bike to get it into that left rut and then going forward sliding back, going forward sliding back... etc. Finally got it worn down to where I got out and was sweating like a pig that escaped the slaughter house.
  15. Till you reach a turn. There's a $170 fine for making your own trails.
  16. What you thought the weather would make drivers more cautious?
  17. I think this is a good example of how you know the trail is just too slick to ride. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exDyuwzsgiY Later as we did some local gravel roads we entered a blind corner just as it started to rain again. Locked the rear three times coming into the corner and just before I stopped I picked a new line going thru a hole inbetween the trees. I came about four feet from going off road thru the ditch as the tires simply slid across the pavement but finally found traction in the gravel at the road side.
  18. I found a bike for you, just send me the remainder of the $20,000 you were going to spend. http://louisville.craigslist.org/mcy/2648548286.html
  19. Were I simply riding into alaska I'd take the V-strom. It did really well out west when I rode it to Yellowstone and Colorado fully loaded. Elevation change was no issue. My friends took a KLR 650 and Xr650 (in photo). Photo was taken at Steamboat Spring Lake after riding up a rally car route.
  20. One thing too many people have told me is that taking the Alaska highway is not an adventure. It is well paved, services are available and it is not much different than taking I-90 across South Dakota. There are lots of offroad routes in Alaska but getting to them is pretty simple, any car can do it.
  21. No one mentioned the KLR650? KLR650 big gas tank, inexpensive, good highway speed, cheap parts (new or used), good offroad. Vstrom (DL1000) Inexpensive, big gas tank, excellent highway speed, mid price parts, not good offroad because of low ground clearance. Yamaha Super Tenere (two friends) mid priced, good offroad, good gas tank, excellent highway speed, parts still a bit hard to find, needs bash plate, lots of electronics to break.
  22. +1 Maybe local stations seem a little anti gun but Fox network?
  23. The bait is set and the trap planned, all we need now is someone to bite. 99.9% of people who carry a gun are good people who either want to kill a bad guy robing a bank or serious gun enthusiasts who are prepared to defend our great nation from any foreign paper target dumb enough to invade their home. Now that's some stinky bait there........
  24. +1 You can tell when either side is lying because there lips move.
