  1. Wonder if Iran's Navy has glass-bottomed boats just like the Italian Navy does? You know, so the sailors can see the old Iranian/Italian Navy vessels.
  2. The countries in the Middle East have been quarreling for 1,000+ years and show no signs of ever being able to get along, either with each other or with anyone else in the world. I've said it before and I'll say it again: 24 hour warning, weather forecast for tomorrow is 3,000 degrees and sunny. Neutron bomb, do away with the people but leave the infrastructure intact. 3 new states: East Dakota, East Virginia, and East Carolina.
  3. I was playing Pebble Beach 8 years ago, caddy points to a house along the 4th or 5th fairway, nice house, maybe 4,000 sq.ft., looks out into Stillwater Cove, Carmel Bay, great views of the 18th, etc. "Someone just bought that for $20 million", he says. "They're going to tear it down and build what they want." I will not be building my dream house there anytime soon.
  4. Trade for a never used Crimson Trace for an XD45?
  5. If you're ever in Zanesville, Donald's Donuts on Maple Avenue. You ain't a-gonna find any better donuts.
  6. -fill a garbage bag with pine needles. -spread pine needles on ground, under tarp, which is under your tent. -position your sleeping bag on top of the pine needles - makes a nice cushion. -if in a state park, and if drinking beer, put it in a cup. -if in a state park, and drinking beer, and it's not in a cup, and you and your buddies are drunk, and the park ranger comes over to have a chat, DO NOT refer to him as "Ranger Rick" - he won't be amused.

  8. No. Just so everyone's clear, the State of New York does not recognize any other state's license.
  9. Exactly. This young woman is full of awesome. +rep for a mother protecting her child (and herself). Same sh1t's gonna happen to anyone who barges into my humble abode.
  10. Ruger doesn't have a "warranty". They will, however, fix it if it's broken.

    Snowing...

<smartass> Never have seen it snow "poorly"... </smartass>
  12. To my eye, the entire front end design is poor: ugly/out of proportion headlight nacelle, bar/fork angle looks wrong, and the fender doesn't work for me. But, I'm not considering it, and other's opinions shouldn't matter - if you like it, do it.
  13. How could you NOT know? Don't trust an Intarwebz site, go to the A.G.'s site. In checking 3 different sites, they all show NY as not accepting any other state's license. Don't bring a gun to NYC or L.A., period. I believe he made an honest (if really dumb) mistake, too bad the judge will have no latitude due to mandatory sentencing laws.
  14. Street price for both should be about the same, $350~ish.
  15. Not too difficult to improve upon a Kel-Tec design, KSG and PMR excepted (both of which I'd like to have). jus' sayin'...
  16. With the LCP they copied Kel-tec, now with the SR22 they're copying Walther. I may or may not own a couple of Ruger revolvers and would like to (allegedly) get an SR1911 and a 22/45, but wish they'd stop with the blatant copies.
  17. I started a thread awhile back about shitting in FS threads, and most people agreed it's in bad form. There's very little moderation here, which I personally think is a good thing; it allows for a freer exchange of ideas. You were way overpriced, but should have been told privately and been allowed to adjust it. In your defense, you had no idea. In Shawn's defense, he was just looking out for fellow ORdN members. Offsetting penalties, no loss of yards, remains second down. *edit: ohiomike, you changed that ugly avatar...
  18. I posted the following two weeks ago when this was brought up: Screw the Constitution, just a worthless, meaningless old piece of paper. Who needs a trial? Sixth Amendment? Nah, we tossed the Constitution years ago. 1984 was only 17 years late. (That would be an allusion to the Patriot Act, for those of you following along at home)...
  19. Sooo, a really smart person might get bored being a police officer? Maybe (s)he would go to night school, get a degree, then maybe go to night school again and get a law degree, and they'd be SOOOO bored that they would take (and pass) Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Commander, etc. exams and move up in the ranks? Yup, sure don't want anyone smart carrying a gun on the streets, charged with protecting the citizens. Nope, I want an army of mouth breathers doing that. The ones I've met, with one exception - the CPD idiot that gave me a ticket for speeding when there was no way he could have clocked me - have been well-spoken, polite, and professional.
  20. Oooh, the 'tingly' kind...! :sexytime:
  21. Nope, underly complicated Glock, I'm positive...
