Try a day or two on your bike then start shopping for a track bike over the Winter months, there will be some great deals out there.  Last Winter I purchased my 04 CBR600RR track bike for $2,100.

Safer than the street, it's a controlled environment. First day you'll be in Novice and that's a nice starting pace. Next day at Mid O is the 22nd. I'll be there as well as several others from here. I work there as well. I'll be happy to help as we as everyone the will too
