What are you planning on using said system for? Surfing the net and checking email? Video editing? Hardcore gaming? For an average user that seems like a bit of over kill.
  2. ROFL I can see you doing that..... That's one of those DUH moments.

    BB guns

Well the "Easter bunny" left a BB gun for my daughter this morning. Here is a pic of said B gun along with my Marlin 795.... Now I need to take her out to shoot it.

    BB guns

This is for her, I already have a BB/pellet gun and my new .22. This is completely for her. But as Chevy said, it will be stored in where she cannot get to it and the ammo will be stored in a different location. She has been around my stuff when I am shooting and when I am cleaning it. I let her handle them, but also remind her they are not to be touched unless I am with her. She knows where they are and she has never attempted to get to them. My goal is to let her shoot them and take as much curiosity away as I can.

I am planning on getting her the standard lever action, we will not be killing rabbits or squirrels with it so she doesn't need the pump version. When she gets a little older, and demonstrates firearm safety, I'll move her up to a .22.

    BB guns

Most of the newer guns can shoot pellets or BBs. Hell I think most of the ones they sold in the 90s could shoot both. The BB gun I had when I was a kid was lever action and was purchased from an old man that lived on my street. It's an older Daisy. I always wanted one of the pump versions, they were able to propel the bb/pellet at a higher velocity. I'll buy her the BB gun for now, when she gets a little older and proves herself i will get a .22 for her.

    BB guns

So i am thinking about buying my daughter a BB gun for Easter. My daughter is 4, she went with the wife to an outdoor kids activity thing about 2 weeks ago where they allowed the kids to shoot BB guns. She loved it, its all she talked about for a day or so. I had thought about getting her one for Christmas, but the wife said no. Well after shooting that weekend she said she can have one. So I just wanted to get other peoples thoughts to see what they are thinking. I got my first BB gun when I was 12, however my parents didn't go with me when I was shooting it. I had already taken the hunters safety course and had been out hunting. My daughter is 4 she has shoot my paintball gun, an has been around me shooting my pistols, and shotguns an rifles at my parents house. I'm not going to buy the gun hand it to her and send her on her way to shoot herself, the neighbors cats or windows, it more of a "training gun". I'll take her out and we will shoot it together at some cans or targets, and when we are done it gets put away. Like I said just wanted your opinions on the subject...

    My first gun

Wow your on it today..... actually I believe the reoccurring theme from the previous "what's your favorite gun and why" threads is: Go try a bunch of them, rent them from ranges, or borrow friends. But try them. Figure out what purpose the gun is going to serve (home defense, everyday carry, plinker, ect). Hold as many as you can, if it doesn't feel good in YOUR hand its probably not the one you want, if it's uncomfortable to carry, trust me on this, you will not carry it. Once you have found a group of them that feel good in your hand, shoot them, then find some holsters and try them in the store before you buy them. All of it is a personal preference. Glocks, S&W, SIG, Springfield, H&K ect are all about the same, you will find the people that swear by them and the ones that swear at them. In the end its what you like and are comfortable with. Now if you questions about a particular gun or brand, ask. Most everyone on the board has no problem throwing in their 2 cents....
  16. I have the Icon Field Armor Chukka boots. They are a little uncomfortable at first, until you get them broke in. They do not bend, so I feel like Frankenstein when I am walking around, but not bending is a good thing. I don't race, so getting a race boot made no sense. Well that and I would have looked pretty silly riding a cruiser with racing boots.
  17. Awesome sounds good, sending you a PM.
  18. I am just looking for something cheap for my daughter. Currently I am using an old CRT monitor that I normally use for testing. The CRT is just too large for the small desk. Anyone have something laying around? Hit me up thanks.
  19. So did the ticket get drawn for the free tune?
  20. check shops too, You may have to pay a little more but it is well worth it. Honda offers the MSF and provide the bikes, and if you currently do not have your actual license they do the driving test. I think my course cost $200 but like I said it was well worth it.
  21. Okay, IHOP at 8:30 it is. I may have to make a quick stop after breakfast, if I don't get done what I am working on I will have to finish it tonight and drop it off at work in the morning. See you guys there at 8:30.
  22. I did not know that, thanks for the info.
  23. Ok so here is the information I have on it. it's a Remington Model 700 L.H. Serial number G6793392 It is all black, synthetic stock and fore-end. It is bolt action It is chambered in .17HMR Fireball It has not been fired other than the test round at the manufacturer. It is Left handed. He doesn't have the box for it anymore, he thinks he pitched it when he moved. My guess is it is a: Remington Model 700 SPS Varmint chambered in .17HMR Fireball I'm still not sure on the Bull Barrel, he is going to check tonight and send me some pictures. They are coming to my phone so if you want them PM me your number and I will forward them on. (not sure how to load them up from my phone.) Here is the link to the SPS Varmint on Remington.com http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/centerfire/model-700/model-700-sps-varmint.aspx Hopefully this helps. If you need more info let me know.
