  1. As a new home owner my question is do you plan on financing this bike purchase? I'd highly suggest NOT doing so if you haven't already secured a mortgage
  2. I don't know how different the xb12r is from the regular xb12's but that never once happened on the one I've ridden and ridden with

    Tail Bag F/s

The straps are the hooks you see pictured
  4. I completely agree the VFR isn't what it sounds like he wants. But I figured I'd pimp mine just in case he bit on it
  5. Yup I read FZ1 in his want too. DO NOT GET A VFR....unless you're buyin mine for slightly more than the R1
  6. I said 200%. I was doing it like this (don't have a clue if its right or wrong): If 50% of 100 is 50. 100% of 100 is 100 so 200% of 100 is 200. Clear as mud?
  7. you've just described a v twin motor lol. My VFR is pretty much the same
  8. 1) someone did and i think it was like 200% lol 2) dead on
  9. also please define what you think is out growing a motorcycle. I'm really intrigued I personally don't care what you buy and you should get what you want. But this is the thing annoying me that you keep saying you've out grown a 650 and that you will an r6
  10. I agree. Get a busa then turbo it when you outgrow that buy the one thats for sale here, he's who I bought my 600RR from
  11. not a good deal until its under $4k and even then I'd only pay $3200 or so. I don't know the R6 market as well as the 600rr, 636 and VFR though as those are where I've done a lot of my buying and selling
  12. I guess my spreadsheet of vehicle purchases and sales in the last 10 years being in the black on all depreciating assets just isn't getting it. My bad dude! Its more than I would pay for a 6.5-7 year old bike and personally is what I call "Harley Pricing". Its absolutely not a bad price but its something I wouldn't touch. It looks pristine and the low mileage is great and I hope he can get 7k for it. I just think you are over valuing book price and thus screwing future silentcropduster out of $
  13. scratch the Mossberg and Kahr off my will trade for list. Picked up a CM9 over the weekend
  14. once again book value doesn't mean shit. Once you figure that out you'll stop overpaying for bikes. If I paid "book value" on every bike I've bought I would have lossed thousands instead of MAKING thousands your mind is already made up and doesn't seem like you actually want to listen to people who have gone through the same thing. Just get the R1 and in 2 years when/if you decide that its not the bike you want forever because its uncomfortable for street riding compared to other excellent options you can take the loss of cash on it and come back and say "damn, that BAD asshole was right"
  15. Hahahaha same OP. this is even more comical!

    Tail Bag F/s

Awesome bag and very fair price! Almost half of what they are new
  17. Holy crap that's a deal!! Hmm this is ridiculously intriguing
  18. LOL NADA means exactly that, nada as in zero most of the time. The market sets the price, not a book
  19. Butters is wise beyond his years. Get what you want obviously but heeding the advice of others who have been through the same thing is always a good thing IMO
  20. Wtf happened to the troll face smiley?!?!
  21. The way you're talking, I'd highly suggest the FZ1 then or something with a more sport touring orientation. I was like you once too and thought going from my 600rr to a 1000rr would be all I ever needed. Never even got a 1000rr as I came across my VFR and its been absolutely what I needed and I didn't even know it until after a year of ownership
