But therein lies the problem. What if you had a '93 cavalier and all you needed was a control arm or something? You could normally go down to the junk yard and grab one for $20. With the CARS program, all cars turned in are DESTROYED- not parted out. Many cars in the $5-7000 retail range have trade in values of less than the $4500 being offered by the govt. This eliminates a huge market for people that want to buy a cheap beater. Ever wanted a 'winter car'? You used to be able to find those for $500 but with this law, why would somebody bother selling it for that? If this continues for the long term, this program will actually force people to go further into debt as they won't be able to find any decently priced used cars.

My everyday boots are alpinestars web gortex. 100% waterproof and have been extremely durable. I do everything in them- pit bikes, adventure touring, backroads, commuting... I've also got a pair of sidi vertigo air's ($$$) that will probably sit on the shelf for a while since I don't have a sportbike right now.

You take for granted the fact that you can go to IP and try on MOST brands of gear available out there. Most places only carry 2 or 3 brands of gear and have a very limited selection. IP isn't perfect, but I'd rather deal with some of their issues at the benefit of having so many choices.

It's worth checking out as their inventory changes so frequently, but what I would consider their 'nice' textile jackets aren't usually available in Large.

the selection for "normal sized" guys in the iron pony closeout section is pretty worthless right now.

unless she buys you pizza, of course. there are usually plenty of scalpers at LC indoor events. I've never been to a outdoor show though- they rarely sell out for those I imagine. I'm planning on going down to Euro bikenight in grandview and then over to the LC. What time do you think you'll head down?
