  1. I have one of the aluminum low profile jacks that I have used for the last 8 or 9 years without a single issue. I am surprised that it has held up as well as it has.
  2. Count me tentatively in for this. I will either have to dif my trailer out and get plates or look for trailer space with someone
  3. The Detroit Desmond club still hasn't responded to my request to join. This would be a long way for me to ride now
  4. I would just like to point out that the rain is following Ben down there. I am not around so this one can't be blamed on me.
  5. I am waiting for a customer to confirm tomorrow on what day the are coming in next week. I am not too hopeful at the moment, call me a bitch but I don't feel like making the 12+ hour ride back home after the trip down and riding the whole time.
  6. I've got a lot of reading to do to catch up on this thread. I didn't think that I would be able to make it due to a work trip but that has been cancelled and I could take the time off. Does anyone happen to have any trailer space available? I don't have time to get mine from Ohio, clean it it out, and register it in Michigan before the trip. I could ride my bike down to wherever and load up in a trailer and tag along. Not sure if there are any rooms or places to sleep left either. Only other option is to ride down and I'm not sure if I want to take that route. It is a 9hr 40min ride down straight through slabbing it the entire way. It would probably be a good 12hr ride down and back.
  7. The T-Rex restraint system is really nice and fairly inexpensive
  8. Well I am glad that I made my first trip this year
  9. I may be in for this, it's the fiancee's birthday on the 13th but she is telling me I should go. I would have to empty out the trailer as I am not slabbing it 9+ hours each way.
  10. This might need a little tree air freshner hanging inside of it
  11. I'm in as long as it's not on the bike
  12. I've never seen a stripper argue with guys sitting around the stage
  13. I had a great time for my first year going. I ended up riding back home to Michigan tonight. I put a total of 742 miles on the bike for this trip
  14. If there are any reasonable rooms left anywhere, I would split the tickets with you.
  15. I have gone four of the last five years. Maybe it's because I didn't go last year but this year seemed dead compared to past years. I can't justify the $40 gate fee anymore.
  16. I still have it torn down. I ended up remodeling the house to sell before we moved to Michigan for my job and the bike got pushed aside. Now we have a condo we are renting that has a small one car garage. I barely have any room to park the new bike in there. I will get it back together soon enough to get back out there. The Duc will see some track time
  17. I decided that even as uncomfortable as it is, my love affair was too strong. I will have to make a trip out that way for a ride before the summer is over.
  18. I finally picked up a new after too long. I started out giving myself a budget of half of what I spent but decided to just get what I have been wanting for a long time. I am the proud new owner of a 2011 Ducati 848evo that had less than 2500 miles on it before I picked it up today. I got a great deal on it but had to drive 3 hours north from where I am in Michigan to BFE to pick it up and ride it back. I will make it down for a run around hocking before too long. There aren't a lot of great places to ride up here where I moved in MI but it is a lot better than the flat lands they call NW Ohio.
  19. I wanted to formally congratulate Midget Todd on his royal rumble win. http://i.imgur.com/H5iYoyE.jpg
  20. I haven't seen anything in the news today.
  21. Tonight was the town fireworks after the summer festival that they have every year. The fireworks are shot off at the park and explode almost directly above my house which makes for a pretty good show. I had a buddy and his wife over to watch the fireworks since we have such a good view here. Every year the fireworks are huge and last about 30-45 minutes with a giant grand finale except for this year. Below is a video showing what ended up being the end of the fireworks show. There was a smaller explosion/ball of fire and then a second huge explosion shortly after that shook everything around and sounded like some glass blew out pretty close to us.
  22. If my house sells quickly, I may be interested, but I have an expensive lease that starts next month in Michigan and still haven't put my house on the market yet.
  23. They have a second option that looks a bit better to me. I agree that it looks like it would put a lot of stress on the valve stem being that far out. Their second option looks much better but still not perfect. They have a stretch goal on their page that says the whole unit will be half the size and half the weight if they can raise $250k
