I would agree with that......I like different "styles" of riding vs any one machine can do all. For quite awhile now, I have had some type of sporty type bike and then also a fat assed cruiser as a baseline. Plus off and on have added other bikes of interest.. For now if we are going "dreams", I would be interested in some long haul bomber.. (GW or ST or FJR or BMW?) and have always itched for that perfect RC51 and a tricked out Truimph Truxton, mbe one of the new ducati V4 bikes and some type of street fighter... . .

The smart lean is impressive stuff and a plus for safety. Not knocking any of it, technology marches on, but the thing is, I have seen it even with the start of ABS brakes, is that riders start appreciating less that riding is still a skill, that needs to be always learning, always looking to get better. With the new tech, many riders forget the skill part and then now depend on the tech to bail them out in iffy spots... I'm kinda saying - Skills first: Technology as backup....... as opposed to the opposite that seems to be trending... Technology first: skills second. Indian def has some impressive bikes coming out....

I corrected my note -- its LiFePo4 - Lithium Iron Phosphate... I'm on my 2nd, the 1st lasted 4 1/2 years, running the new one now.. I have had good luck with it. Stuff about it... if you let it sit in bike for around 8 weeks, parasitic losses will be a concern... a quick ride will keep it up. For the season, I am never that long between rides, so it doesnt matter. The only maintenance concern is it doesnt like to sit cold, so the recommended thing is to bring it in the house. The static charged voltage is 13.3v so to start in November its 13.3 and when I check it in spring... its 13.3, no discharge with no load... Some here say you need a charger... I debate that, its not my experience.... ---maybe if you leave it on bike, that may be true... > For you, being in Arizona, you may be hosed no matter what with the hot climate, and typical Honda charging systems just suck anyway...

My vfr routine is stabil in the tank and then bring the LiFePo4 battery in the house and sit it on my desk.

I got a ride on a buddys R3 and I couldnt help but laugh my ass off. You have to wring the shit out of the engine, but it was light and flickable.. I didnt get a chance to try it in twists, but I bet I could do some good corner speed with it. - -I would love to stick one of the 300/400s in my garage for a twisty riot party... (Add it to the wish list....)
