With news articles like this and the idea that some potential victim could be armed, hopefully the bad guys in general will think twice before attempting something stupid like robbing a person. If not they could end up with a victim supplied blood drain hole.

The golf cart rental compnay pulled the steel frame of a completely burned up golf cart out of the woods on the RV campground side, maybe a side effect of the port-a-potty fires?

Not a free golf cart, but you do get a free golf cart "wrist band" or whatever they are calling it if you present your handicap tag. This makes your golf cart "legal" while on the grounds at Mid-ohio. I was with a friend at the "will call" office when he got his golf cart wristband / sticker at the beginning of the year. Maybe the office person at mid ohio made a mistake?

I will be there Friday morning, North gate at 7 AM. Then roll over to the RV camp ground area by Honda bridge. Once I get set up, I'll cruise through the tent camping area Friday morning

that main path in the tent camp area, just before dark, is the place to be. Just watch out for rocks kicking up from the noob riders doing burnouts on the gravel.

I have access to two carts with the group I camp with. Both carts are legal, but I do see alot that do not have the wrist band on the steering column.

If you are using your own golf cart ( as in one that was not rented for the weekend from the track) to be legal, you need a "vehilce pass". This is like a wrist band for the golf cart. I don't think they really enforce this rule. The vehicle pass cost is $100 according to mid-Ohio webpage. I do know that if you have an Ohio handicap parking tag ( the blue deal that hangs off the car mirror) Mid-ohio will give you this golf cart vehicle passs for free.

The Beave Run track is good and the karts are fast. We did a work group outing there, and it was about $150 per person for almost 4 hours of racing. I just seen that Lake County Speedway ( the former Painesville Speedway) that has kart racing on Wednesday nights. I an not sure how they set up the course for the karts, but the cost is $5 for 10-15 laps, or $20 for 5 sessions. THis seems to be the closest for racing karts. Then out in Macedonia, there is a place called Swings and Things that has karts, but i think that course is smaller and probably designed more for kids than adults.

Sweet video A while back, I attempted to learn to play guitar. I tried playing right handed, but had trouble getting my left hand to work the neck and strings. I gave up after awhile. This winter, I think i might try to play again, but this time, try playing left handed.

I can't help with other people that like "that old stuff" I do like the older stuff. I am amazed that old firearms designed and built they way they were back in the day.
