  1. Kawi, yeah the food was good, actually....I think they hired extra "kilts" for today. Besides St. Patricks day, i forgot the Ohio State basketball game was on too, so that added to the packness. I should have bought that Brotherhood crossbow!!
  2. I went to the Ohio Deer and Turkey show at the Ohio Expo center in Columbus today. Large show. Interesting to see the deer rack judging. I bought some turkey calls from Sportsman's Den. I laughed when saw the sign for Woodbury Outfitters. I was going to ask them about gun prices, but didn't know who to ask or remember the model of the gun was. Best deal at the show was a Horton Brotherhood crossbow package for $289 at Vance Outdoor. After the show, I stopped by Dale's at Delta Epsilon and bought some ammo. It was cool to put a face to a name. Highlight of the day was going to Tilted Kilt for lunch.
  3. How about picking grapes or lettuce?.......J/K......

The virus might be in the water, but i thought they shut off that one well that had the zombie in it? I was one of three wells? I thought maybe blood transfer when they were killing the zombies from the barn, but thought they virus would kick in after like 24-48 hours, so not sure how Shane got infected.
  5. Keep us posted and maybe Kelli will decide to get her license this year.
  6. i am guessing she'll get a Ninja 250 or honda rebel? Something set up for the vertically challenged. Is she over 4 foot tall yet?
  7. Sounds good. This would be a good test of "preparedness". I'll have to pick up a tent and a Hi-Point. and a back pack / duffle bag. I'll be in for the first camping 101 experience. If we are all jacked-up on Pepsi, sounds like I'd be awake way past my normal bedtime.
  8. clicking again on the link......
  9. I didn't even know this channel exisited, channel 334 on Direct Tv called Audience channel. The show on now is called Live Fire, started at 8PM. Deals with Marines training with m240 machine guns and 50 cal weapons at Camp Pendleton. Might be interesting.
  10. No issues with the selling price part of the deal. If you indicate you are short on cash for the rest of the "price", and want to pay at the difference at a later late date, that is fine too. However, the same day or the next day money is found and other purchases are made without completing the rest of the original sale, that is where the issue comes in. I don't know either parties involved but that is just a crappy way to go about buying something.
  11. I'll make more popcorn and see where this goes......
  12. So is that like Azteca-a-tele-mundo?

We are doomed, 2 Terminators on this site....
  14. Range report = I am at about 1K rounds through the Buckmark I just bought in January. I like this 'lil pistol more and more. - This is the second range trip I fired left handed. I might be a better shooter left handed. -I also changed my stance. Before, I kept my right arm straight out, even with my shoulder and my left arm bent, with my elbow sticking out. Then I tried keeping both arms straight, with the pistol more inline with the center of my body. Works much better this way.
  15. Strange accident, glad everyone is ok. It was sad to see that sweet Chevy truck hanging off the front end loader as it was being removed from the track.
  16. Those "Shoot and see" targets are helpful to show you the difference of where you were aiming and where the bullet actually hit. Then try to figure out why it did not hit where you thought it was going to. Did you jerk the trigger? Antisipate the shot?
  17. JST, it just keeps getting better with time and practice. Cool to see the board has new shooter, somewhat experienced shooters and very experienced shooters.
  18. Speedy, you are welcome. It was fun trying out your Buckmark and that revolver. After you left, I stayed for about another hour. So now, since I don't have to pay per hour at the range, the cost becomes the amount of ammo used. I went through about 800 rounds. Some notes: 1. The revolver was fun to shoot, even with the 3 miles of trigger creep in double action. I think it would take me awhile to get acustom to those "2 tier" sights. Still cool to try other firearms. 2. Shooting with my left hand (normally i shoot right) was a challange. I think I will add weak hand shooting to my regular range trips. 3. Grips really do make a difference with the Buckmarks. Your grips are more like the ones on my Hi Power, so there might be something to have similar grips on accross pistols. 4. Due to the poor lighting in our range stall, all the advantage I had on another range with better lighting and the fiber optic sight was gone. We did notice that on our range, it had one of those new style compact floursent lights, ( the corkscrew shape) instead of the normal incandesant light bulb. I think I still shot pretty good, but did not have the grouping like I had last trip. 5. I think I would pick Speedy to be on my Zombie hunting team, if needed. 6. The XD plastic grips felt like touching a squid compared to the fact that the last 2 pistols I have shot have rubber grips.
  19. As I am just starting to really learn this shooting hobby, for me, the order of importance to the "feel" of a pistol is: 1. The grips - does it fit in my hand? 2. the sights - can I line up the pistol and hit what I am aiming for? 3. trigger - does it feel smooth, or have a long pull before it fires the round? Of course, this is where a rating on a pistol will vary by shooter.
  20. The Hammerli is accurate and the slide just feels solid and butter smooth. The trigger is almost "Glock-like", very crisp. This was my favorite until I got the Buckmark. I like the Buckmark better for the grips and the sights, compared to the Hammereli. If I can get the Buckmark trigger to feel less "gritty", I will be mega happy. Hammerili is nice, but a pricey. I think the Buckmark is a great all around value for the results you see from the target pic. I have not fired the GSG 1911 yet, since it is not mine, but i should be able to borrow it for a range trip .22 LR comparison to the the other 2 pistols.
  21. Fin Feathur Fur occasionaly carries the Nagant ammo for the revolver. I think it was $25 for 20 rounds? The blue ammo box was just labeled "Nagant", not the white box for the mosin nagant rifle, which is labeled 7.62 x54R
  22. My last trip to Stonewall indoor range in northeast Ohio, This is my third time out with Buckmark, and I learned to adjust the sights to how I shoot. Here is the result at 35 feet, Here is the pistol: ( it is NOT the Micro version, just a wierd camera angle)
  23. Speedy, correct, one person as a "guest" $7 dollar flat fee, not "per hour" if you go with me.
  24. Speedy, I plan to go mid morning Sunday to Stonewall. I may have a Hammerili Trailside and the GSG 1911 to use for the day. Trailside pic from Internet:
