Do all the light bulbs function? When the voltage regulator failed on my 1982 GS 850, it caused an over charge condition and allowed 18 volts to reach the battery. This over charge cause my head light, 2 cluster lights and the tail light to burn out. It might be a slight short to ground cause by melted wire insulation in the harness. As for the slow cranking, could be the positive battery cable to the starter? I replaced my regulator with a brand called Rick's Electric. Also, check out a website called GSResources.com. There is a garage section that contains the factory wiring diagrams for the charging system that will help you logically trace down the issue.

And with the $199,299 savings off the original price, I can buy a head gasket and all the tools, a shop, a truck and trailer to move it. The rest of the cash will be used to fund all those dates I plan to get while driving that car.

I am out for this weekend, due to recent family events. I do hope to ride soon or my bike will be for sale.

I will start another ( maybe, but i doubt it) about my used, but new to me, 2011 Subaru Certified Legacy with 22,000 miles that had a dirty air filter and a cabin filter. The Subaru certified checklist had a check mark next to air filter and cabin filter. I suppose those check marks just indicated that the car was equipped with both those filters, and no indication of condition? $21 dollars later and 13 minutes of my time and both filters were replaced.

I am not here to bash or ass-kiss, but it is kinda cool to go out there and at least try. I have been in a pit crew for a raod race team at Road Atlanta, Daytona, VIR and Barbers. Our team is a mid pack team, Some people we race with are well connected and have money to blow. Our team goal is to at least finish in the top 5. We run a late model stock car in HSR, NASA and SCCS. Some of the cars we race against are former Sprint ( Winston ) Cup road cars. We have raced against Kyle Bush in the Snowball Derby, which is a huge race at Pensicola Speedway in Florida. No plans to go pro, just something fun to do, and because we can. I would rather have attempted then not tried at all.

Not to thread jack, but since the OP did not have the airbox, I'll offer to check to see if I still have the airbox from my 1990 Katana 600. Not sure if it is the same as what you are looking for. I switched my Katana ( when I had it) to the K&N pods. I know I do still have the factory exhaust for the 1990 Katana 600. I'll send you a private message on the airbox.

I wont ruin it for anybody in case they have not watched any racing. Just got done watching motorcycle racing from the DVR. Worth watching is the second AMA superbike race at Road Atlanta -Josh Hayes / Blake Young battle, and the second race of the SBK from Assen. IF you don't watch the race, maybe just watch Windtunnel for the highlights. That is all, enjoy.

I went there once. I was not looking for anything, just browsing. It kinda reminder me of a "Big Lots" or a "Mark's" clearance type store. Not saying it was bad, just wasn't super good. IF you go there, make sure to stop at the near by Old Carolina BBQ place for a bit to eat.

Not sure on the crack repair, but i had a stone chip in my front windowsheild. Safelight glass company came to my house, and filled the chip with some type of epoxy. After the repair, you could not detect where the repair has been made. The chip area never got any worse. The price was $50. A new windshield installed would have been $150. This was 4 years ago on a 2003 chevy monte carlo

I was thinking about going to that auction, glad i didn't make the time to go.

on the other side of the street, behind those houses, there is a cemetary, but probably wont show up in a picture since I am on a slightly higher elevation.

I guess it would be cheating to take a picture of my bike in my garage?

I purchased it new about 2 years ago at a local gun store, not wal-mart

Is the name of the place called Golden Dawn?

I went and looked at my Remington 870, and I have the same foregrip as the OP and it is a model 25077. I suspect the picture on the remington webiste for the 25077 has a different foregrip maybe due to production change?
-
It looks like the Remington 870 Express model 25077, which is refered to in the walmart link. Here is the link for the model 25077 from Remington's site: http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/shotguns/model-870/model-870-express-synthetic-7-round.aspx Pic: This is the model I have, the Remington website indicates the barrel is 18 1/2, but the box the shotgun is shipped in from Remington indactes 18 inch barrel on the label.

Yeah, I was way tired when i posted last night, i checked the sizing on Alpinestars website and it would be kinda big, unless I put a few back protectors and some bubble wrap in the jacket

I have not raced bikes, but did have a very short lived circle track car racing hobby way back in high school. I understand about the nerves and that " I have to pee" feeling. It is a thought that you don't want to get hurt, or hurt or hold up anybody else. After watching the video in post #5, I can see how the tunnel vision kicks in and you completely miss the braking points. I think that my eyes and my brain can figure things out, but not sure my arms, legs and feet would play nice and react in time. For the last 17 years, I have been a street rider on a 65 HP ( maybe on a good day ) 1982 GS 850. I did have a few years of also owning / riding a 1990 Katana. I think my learning curve would be huge to even street ride any newer bike made within the last 30 years.

Any chance it would fit a beanpole person like myself, 6'1, 170 pounds? You can take you pick of almost anything in my garage, except the garage doors, which would technically be "on" the garage, not "in" the garage.

I am waiting to see the other side of the story. Being out of town and telling a person to wait is ok. If the seller was out of town but arranged a deal over the phone to the dealer, the cool thing do would have been to caller the person that was told to wait and indicate some like" hey i know we had a deal in the works, but the dealer offerred me XX amount, do you still want the bike for this amount when i return?" Maybe the other side of the story will fill in the blanks? I have lost out on a few items on here but no hard feelings. I sucks when it happens to you, but I won't get upset over a transaction. A verbal contract is worth the paper it is written on.

If you just need room for a decent place to sleep and shower, stay on the strip at either Paris or Imerial Palace. This as about the middle of the strip. Plan to either pay alot for taxi's, or plan to walk alot. When you look at a map of the strip, each casino / hotel looks very close, but the scale of how large each property is isn't as accurate as it appears. Toby Keith's bar is nice. If you drink, there is a cheap place on the strip called Casino Royal. They have some beer bottled beer for a $1 all day long. So each time you pass that casino, stop in a grab a beer. Spend some time checking out the fancier places like the Wynn ( at the end of the strip) and Belliagio. Super classy. The "old downtown" is Fremont street street. Try to check that out at night. Great light show set to music. There will be people passing out the cards for the "escorts". Last time when i was there, I collected every card I was handed. Now, I have enough cards to play "hooker-Go-Fish". ( you pass out the cards, as the other players if they have a girl with certain name, is not - go fish) On the 3rd floor of the Cosmo, there is a pizza place at the end of a hallway which is lined with record albums. This pizza place is not on any sign, but a cool place to stop in when you have the late night munchies. People watching at night, once the clubs open, is a great time to see the "beautiful people"

If my turkey hunting goes well on the 28th, I'll be available on the 29th. I'll be on the "non-spirited-rustorical" 82 GS 850, so no land speed records will be set by me.

I have a Champion generator, I have used it a few times at the house for back yard projects. It is quiier then a lawnmower, but not as quite as a Honda invertor generator. I have not experience with the Harbor Fright unit. I got the Champion one at Advanced Auto Parts when they were on sale for $265.
