  1. I hope this link works, It goes to Fuel Tv website. Girls, puppies and kittens http://bcove.me/dkluljok
  2. Trade for a Hi-Point? I feel your pain. I had a 87 Aerostar. One transmission. 2 sets of rear springs, heater cores, it was just a bad vehicle to have. Oh, and the 89 ford probe I had. Worked great when it ran, PIA to work on. I do almost like the new Taurus, but not really a Ford fan.
  3. Thank you all for the input. Once I get my 9MM functional, I will focus on the different areas that I probably need to improve. I tend to over think things. Next time the weekend temps are at least into the 20's ( or warmer) I'll go to the outdoor range. Indoor range makes it difficult to have somebody watch and offer helpful advise. I am not looking to appear on the Top SHot TV show, but just want to improve to get consitancey and know I can shoot a pistol. It was $18 for my range time, plus about $23 for the box of 100 9mm. Also used about 50 .22LR through Speedy's Buck Mark. I printed my own targets from on-line web site.
  4. Wow on the jam, that was the ammo we used when you first got the Buckmark. I was going to bring the Blazer ammo, but was not sure your Buckman would like it, I should have asked. I still have about 50 CCI .22LR left. I do like the Buckmark, next time Fin has it on sale, I think I will pick one up.
  5. cool Mags, at least you will be there, bummer on the SO working
  6. I loaded your Buckmark Mag with the bulk Winchester Dynapoint ammo when i returned it to you
  7. Speedy, I did not want to throw ya under the bus, but can you post your target and then your sons' target?.......lol I dont want to make excuses, but I did have the last range stall, and the single target support string was causing the targets to dance around a bit as the heat/ air exchanger was going full force. I like the rifles and shotguns better and also shooting outside. My friend is not really liking his new XDM..
  8. The laser was distracting, I did focus on the laser, not the sights. I can see IF needed, that the laser might help in a defensive situation where you could not line up the sights, like reach over a stairwell, but that is proably more hollywood then reality. I am aware of getting a good grip, so i dont think it is a stance issue. I did get my Hi power used, so i am thinking it was an existing problem, I will probably have the extractor and spring replaced.
  9. Well, almost any range time is better then no time. But I learned a few things. My Hi Power is still broke. Still does not extractor the spend round. Second thing, a .38 S&W bodyguard has some muzzle flip. The laser was an eye opener as you think you are holding the gun lined up on target, but you see the laser dance around. Third and fourth thing, after borrowing from a friend a Glock 17 and Springfield XDM, I was not shooting accurately. Not sure why. Probably not too acustom to the gun since they are not mine? Shots were all over the place. Some high, some low, some left and some right. I dont think I was flinching or preparing for the "bang" of the shot. Fifth thing, the Buckman Camper .22LR pistol rocks!! I was accurate with this one. So, my next 9mm might be a Taraus PT 92 or whatever the PT 809, a CZ something, or the Ruger SR9
  10. That would be a neat show to see all the new stuff in one place.
  11. umm, at what point did the 2 gallon open bucket of gasoline sound like a good idea? You need to use a plant sprayer bottle while operating a van with the engine cover removed.
  12. Thanks, I got that part down, just need to get details on the slide disassembly. There was one youtube video that shows disassembly, but it is not too clear on the actual "how" part.
  13. Sorry for the thread jack, back to GLock talk
  14. I gots something like this: Not this
  15. Thanks for the effort, but I have a Browning HI-power, not Hi-point. I see how the confusion occurs since both firearms start with HI. And there is about $800 price difference between the two. I know how to field strip the Browning HI-power, but not disassemble the slide to inspect the extractor
  16. I just need to find out how to disassemble the slide on my Hi power. Currently, the fired round does not always extract properly from the barrel. Then the "new" round will get jammed in the chamber below the partially extracted spent round. happens with both mags, and a few different types of ammo.
  17. I dont want to fall into the marketing of the Glock, but I did shoot a Glock 17. The trigger is smooth and "crisp". I have also tried springfield XDM, Browning Hi-power, and a .22 LR buckmark. The Glock trigger does feel how I think a trigger should feel. When I am ready for my next pistol, a Glock will be on the list.
  18. Good to hear you are enjoying the new purchase.Even Walmart will have cleaning supplies.
  19. If a guy in sheep shirt asks you to help him find something he dropped on the floor, dont fall for it.....
  20. Casper, I am bringing my own knife this year, not sure what the deal was with the one from the bar..

    12 Gauge 14+1

For $880, I could mount a Benelli Super Nova off the rail of my Remington 870, you know, just in case
  22. Good video, nice to see bikes, the sun and no snow on the ground.
