  1. I wouldn't get a Hi-Point for a cheap pistol, there are a lot of other options out there that are reasonably priced like a Ruger LCP or a Kel-Tec (I have a p32 and love it). For home defense I would go with pump action 12 or 20 gauge.. Think about it like this, alot of the time break ins occur at night which means your aim isn't the best from just waking up and being in the dark making the scatter of a shotgun much more effective than the more precision shooting of a small caliber pistol unless you have laser sights which will bump it out of your price range anyway. If you are planning on shooting skeet or sporting clays you can use a 20 gauge just fine with or without choke tubes (I even shoot 28 gauge sometimes just for the fun of it), but for shooting trap you would want the 12.

  2. I'm looking to go riding on columbus day 10/11, was seeing if anyone else was interested in riding as well. Dont have a for sure idea of where we go, but i was thinking about a 270 circle, or ride from Iron Pony to Comp. Accessories. Any other ideas let me know, I will look to see if Ben J. would like to lead.

I know this is off topic but...I see your Katana sitting down the road from my house all the time. You live on West 3rd street right?? I live up the road about 2 blocks, if you ever want to get out and ride just hit me up. I am babysitting the kiddo on Monday while the wifey works otherwise I would be down for this ride.

  3. That is terrible, if that were my daughter I don't know what I would do. She is too young now, but once she gets old enough to understand I will teach her the same way I was brought up..."treat others the way you want to be treated" and "don't take any sh!t from someone that you don't deserve".

  4. Glad you are ok, I have heard mixed reviews about those fairings on Ebay (the ones from China) maybe you can find a set of take-offs from someone making a track bike. Unless your driving record is terrible I would shop around for a better price on your insurance bro, sounds like they are putting it to you. I know I don't ride a SS bike but my full coverage is like 22/month for my Z750 through State Farm.

  5. that looks awesome. Now there's really no reason for anyone to buy a ZX10 (for street use).

to me, the Z1000s says, "this is what ZX10 buyers would ride if they weren't compensating for their small penises."

It's going to be better in absolutely every way (for street riding).

    :+15million:

The Ninja 1000 as it is being called looks like the ultimate streetbike. Good job Kawi, the Z1000 and new Ninja 1000 are great looking bikes.

  6. My wifey got a Hyundai Accent as a rental when her Accord got wrecked and was in the shop, I really liked the little car. If the backseat was a little bigger I would consider one for sure, but it is a little crowded for the kiddos car seat. I am a big fan of Hyundai/Kia though so I am kinda biased. I currently own a '09 Kia Sedona and love the thing, 31k miles so far and no issues whatsoever. Glad you are enjoying the new ride Swing'R, gotta love the 100k powertrain warranty too!!

  7. Look in the fridge or freezer...speaking from experience here. On a funny semi related topic, I was getting groceries out of the car one day and my girlfriend had to get into the house and pee so I threw her the car keys so she could unlock the door and go in and pee...well I kinda over shot the porch and they went on the roof. I was laughing so hard she had to climb up on the roof herself and get them down all the while screaming about how bad she had to pee. Our neighbors LOVE us...lol.

  8. I hope Buell makes a huge comeback, Americans need a "home team" bike company they can get behind. Priced right with the right amount of performance and reliability they could have a winner, however, priced wrong with the wrong target demographic and I think it will fail. I am hoping for great things from EBR.

  9. If you absolutely must buy a GM...then I guess the Tahoe would be my pick, or an Avalanche. I am not a fan of the TB/Envoy, my uncle had one and it was in the shop A LOT. If it were me with that budget looking for a nice SUV I would check out the newer Ford Explorers and Sport-Trac.

  10. I was laying in bed (had the day off of work) and my gf at the time walked in the bedroom and said "Oh my God...get up and see what's going on..." so I rushed to the TV and saw the WTC in smoke after the first plane hit it. Then a few minutes later I saw the 2nd plane hit and I remember saying to her something along the lines of "...this is like Pearl Harbor, we are at war." The rest of the day as well as the next few I sat glued to the TV trying to wrap my head around what had happened. I will never forget that day, I still get teary eyed and angry to this day when I think about all the death and destruction that took place. I will never forget the uneasy feeling of what is next, the quietness on the streets, the flags flying everywhere...the whole thing was very surreal.
