  1. I would agree with the guys saying the fox body Mustangs. I owned a mint condition 1993 GT vert black on black and loved it...had to sell it when I was in college due to lack of funds and I kick myself in the ass to this day for getting rid of it. A fox body Capri would also be a great choice if you can find one, they were kinda rare, but very cool cars.

  2. The problem is having to take pee tests at your job randomly, it could be as "decriminalized" as you want it to be...if you pee positive (where I work) then you are unemployed. Hopefully the new laws will address this. I believe that marijuana should be legalized and treated as alcohol, 21+ to buy and use it and same rules apply for operating a vehicle while high as if you were drunk. You fail a field sobriety test then you get a DUI. The problem is that there is no way to put hard numbers to how high you are like the breathalizer test does for alcohol levels.

  3. I like the new Sonata, I have driven an 09 model (my Dad's ride) several times and I really like it. He had a 2005 Elantra before that and it was a great car as well, never an issue. I drive a Kia van (Hyundai Entourage) and have piled the miles on it with no issues whatsoever. The only thing to remember with Hyundai/Kia vehicles is that in order to keep the 10yr/100k warranty good you have to have ALL of the services done and documented on time. The 30k 60k 90k are usually at least 300-400 dollars for the service, and it is recommended to have the dealer do them because I have heard stories of people having outside shops do the work and then Hyundai/Kia not honoring the warranty if it wasn't documented correctly or if one part of the service was not done. Also, I don't know about the oil filters and such for the new Sonata, but my van is kind of a dealer only item, none of the local auto parts stores stock it. Not a deal breaker but something I thought u may want to know. I would definitely recommend Hyundai as a manufacturer, they have proven to be reliable vehicles for myself and my family.

  4. I would get the TL1kS but only after taking it somewhere to get checked over make sure the cosmetic damage is the only thing wrong with the bike. Sounds like a good trade for the Kat...and I am not a Katana hater, I actually think they are fine bikes.

  5. I sorta figured that is how Maureen was connected to Gemma and Jax. If JT was in Belfast, maybe Jax will uncover some clues to what "really" happened to his old man. I think there will be a lot more skeletons in the closet coming out. I think the reason they weren't wearing their rockers on their cuts is because Clay thinks they will be hiding out from the FBI for skipping out on court (since Clay doesn't know the deal between Jax and Stahl). They probably don't want to be instantly recognized as the California charter by showing their rockers in case the FBI/bounty hunters come looking for them.

  6. Bump, great bikes!!! I'm a bit biased though...lol. If anyone here buys this let me know because I have a set of Genmar bar risers if someone wants them to make it more of a tourer. I also have a lowering kit (rear dogbones) and shorty sidestand if someone would need that too.

  7. Probably something like a 1200 Sportster with aluminum fuel canisters as side bags. They are cheap, easy to work on and parts could be found in any junk yard from coast to coast probably. Anything new or foreign with a lot of electronics would just be asking for trouble if something broke.

  8. Thanks for doing an awesome job on my bike yesterday, rode like a new bike afterward with the new tires. Good meeting and getting to shoot the sh!t with you for a few too. Thanks for the track day info as well...

  9. ...and an intelligent person would argue that overbearing tax liabilities had way more to do with it than health care.

    :goodpost:

I work in healthcare which is why I am not looking forward to these changes if and when they take effect. We all see how good of a job the government does running everything else (sarcasm). I can imagine all the regulations and red tape that would interfere with patient care if government gets their hands in the medical field. Pay, staffing, patient care, paperwork, etc would all be screwed with...no thanks.:nono:

  10. NAFTA only causes jobs to be shipped to Mexico or Canada... irrelevant to jobs going to Japan where they have universal healthcare so Suzuki, Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha and the like don't have to foot the healthcare bills for their employees.

Yeah I know...the NAFTA thing was thrown in regarding other manufacturing jobs (notably auto manufacturing) that have gone north and south. Universal healthcare is a whole other can of worms, hope that never happens here.

  11. Kudos to him. There aren't enough teachers like that anymore.

Oh, and thanks for the recall on the ditto aroma. Damn Xerox machines!

I had a teacher like that too in middle school, one of the "cool kids" was trying to show off and was picking on a kinda slow kid calling him names and pushing him the teacher saw this and scooped him up by the neck and took him out of the hallway and into and empty classroom and laid into him something fierce. That kid was crying like a baby when he came out. I could see a teacher doing that now, holy cow these whine ass parents would sue the pants off of him...which is one of the things wrong with school now days. We not only respected our teachers, but (at my school at least) we feared the wrath of the principal and his big wooden paddle with holes drilled in it.

  12. When you get rid of so many full time career workers in your plants and fill their positions with temp workers paying them less with no benefits of course the QC is going to go in the shitter. Same reason so many other manufacturing jobs left this country, cost of living is on the rise and the American worker that puts in a hard 8-12 hour day at a manufacturing job expects (rightfully so) to be able to provide a decent living for his family. Companies don't want to pay expensive benefits and a decent living wage so they pack up and head elsewhere where they don't have to. They have no import tariffs and insufficient tax incentives to stay here anyway thanks to NAFTA and our govt selling us out a long time ago.

  13. I've been wondering about Maureen for a while now because she doesn't quite fit in my mind. She may be his mother but I'm not liking that story line at all, so I hope that isn't true.

Jax is being stupid and it could cost the club everything. Stahl has proven to be nothing but a crazy ass bitch with a nasty vendetta against SOA. She's going to fuck them over again.......maybe she "disappears"?

Should make for some interesting episodes in the weeks to come for sure!

Maureen isn't Jax's Mom. How would Abel get the genetic heart defect he had if Maureen was his grandma since the defect runs on Gemma's side?

  14. Just want to add, a shot gun is not a point in his direction and you can't miss, type of weapon. It still needs to be aimed. At close range like in your home, you will only have a shot pattern of about 1 to 5 inches. Shot patterns will increase the farther away the target is.

Very true, but he was talking about a .380 for home defense...I would much rather have a 5 inch shot pattern than a .380 round for home defense purposes. My point was that with the .380 you would have to have a more strategically placed shot to bring the perp down where as with the shotgun you could hit him about anywhere in the upper half of the body and he is going down. I wasn't really going for the aiming vs. pointing thing, but you do make a good point.

  15. I've got a High Point and have yet to have a problem with it. Also made here in Ohio with a lifetime warranty.

Never owned one personally, thought about buying one but was convinced otherwise by my dad. He had his dealers license for years and sold many guns so I took his word on it. Can't beat the lifetime warranty on it though. Looking through the Hi-Point forums I did see a bit of FTF talk not sure if it was the ammo or gun but I wouldn't want that to be an issue in a life or death situation. I would own one in a heartbeat to go out and just play around with though.
