  1. So...you are just wanting a newer bike than the 04 600RR you had? Is that why you sold it? There are some good deals on leftover 07/08's especially for the 1000RR's if you look around. I saw a nice one at Honda Marysville. Since you are upgrading you might as well get a 1000RR for the price since the 600RR fell through unless you are dead set on a 600. Just my 2 cents. Good luck with the hunt, and nice looking cruiser you picked up there. Sucks about what the seller did with the 08, it has happened to me too...just not with bikes it was a car.

  2. Go with the Z1000, I just love the Z bikes... However if the leftover Super Duke is the same $$$ then I see the difficulty in your decision. I would test ride them and see how each stacks up against your old Speed Triple then decide from there. Good Luck with whatever you choose, they are all sweet bikes.

  3. GL with the class, I had fun with mine. I ended up using a Night Hawk 250..fun little bike to zip through the course on. The stupid figure 8's in the box was really the only thing that was tricky to me, just because u r going so slow.

  4. Good for Alabama...hope he get's in and passes it into law. Same goes for Arizona, they are setting a good example there showing illegals that they are not fuckin' around anymore. No Green Card...then GTFO. That's how it should be.

  5. I just sold a bike to someone out of state and had the title notarized myself and handed it over upon delivery with no issues. All you need is the persons name, address, and the purchase price of the bike then go to the BMV and they will notarize it, from there just hand the title to the new owner and they take it to their local BMV and transfer everything into their name and sign it in front of another notary.

  6. Why not go something more sport touring type like an FZ6? Maybe a standard like a naked SV650 or a 599? Lots of cool bikes out there that won't lay ya over the tank like a supersport. I agree with the other guys, I wouldn't go with another cruiser since you already have a C-50.

  7. The 250 Ninjas are fine bikes, but you WILL grow out of it quick if you are like most riders. I started with a 2004 Ninja 250, it was very forgiving to noob mistakes and easy to ride...you just have to rev that bike to death to get it to move. So, it lasted 1 season and now I am riding a Z750s. I am glad I started on a smaller bike, but kinda wished I would have bought a Ninja 500 or GS500F for the first bike as they won't bore you quite as quick and IMO are better for riding on the highway. So my recommendation...if you are buying for looks, then get a 2008 or newer Ninja 250R...if you want to really learn how to ride get a used Ninja 500 that you won't mind dropping once or twice and getting a scratch on while you practice. Good luck with whichever bike you get!!

  8. RIP riders...and just because they were NEW bikes doesn't mean they were noob riders. It could have been a Monster 696, it didn't really say that it was an 1198 or something. Either way, it is very tragic. :(
