Can you measure and tell me what size you need? I have a few batteries that are a couple different sizes. You gonna join us for Boat night?

Did they put a new head on that rebuild? I wonder why they are so tight after the thing only has a few hours on a new rebuilt motor...

I wouldn't try to to bump the starter at all until you change the oil/make sure cylinders dont have water in them. You could prob do a lot of damage that way. You shouldn't really have to worry about a whole lot of ingestion seeing as it wasnt running when it was flooded. Just hurry up and get this thing finished so that you can get it back on the water by Thurs.

WD40 is strongly discouraged to use on skis. There are far more better fogging oils to use than WD40. I used to use it all the time but too many people argue that it contains and attracts too much water. As for the ski that sucks too hear man. I haven't even got to see it yet. Here is a write up from GreenHulk that is in that FAQ on what to do for water ingestion on the RXP's. You obviously just get to ignore anything that deals with the charger... 1Stop being pissed, if you are angry, everything goes much rougher. Calm down, relax a bit, and take your time to make sure everything goes smooth 2 Drain all the water from the hull through the drain plugs by removing them and tilting the ski back as far as you safely can. 3 Remove the plastic piece that sits above the engine and has the black plastic tube connectec to it, as seen in the picure below.(at least in the RXT), and set aside. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v456/Pettee17/jetski017.jpg 4 Now you are ready to get to work removing the water from the engine. The first thing to do is remove the air intake from the supercharger, and disconnect it at its front location as well. Get all the water out of the intake tube. 5 With the intake disconnected from the supercharger, tilt the ski back so that any water in the supercharger can be drained out. Once the water is drained out, you can reconnect the air intake to the supercharger and to its location at the front of the ski. 6 Here comes the fun part, now that you have removed the water that had not yet made its way into the engine, you need to remove the contaminated oil from the engine. Remove the spark plugs from the engine, and place a towel over the open spark plug holes. Hold the throttle wide open in order to shut off the fuel delivery(so i was told), and crank the engine. Hold for about 10 seconds. Let it sit, do it again. This gets any water that may have been sitting in the combustion chambers out. Replace the spark plugs. 7 Now you get to get the oil out. Use whatever extractor you use to remove the oil. I use this.http://www.cpperformance.com/images/620-315.jpg 8Replace the oil filter with a clean one, and refill the engine with oil. 9Run the engine at idle(while flushing to cool exhaust) for 3-4 minutes in order to burn off any excess water. This should be repeated as many times as neccesary to eliminate any "milkshake" oil left in the ski. I went through this process 6 times. 10 Once the oil is clean, and there is no more milkshake effect, remove the spark plugs again, and spray some fogging oil into the cylinders. 11Let fogging oil do its thing for a few minutes, then replace plugs, reflush the ski, and put it back together. This should do it for removing the oil-water and saving the engine from corrosion.

So who is gonna make it this week? I am going camping in KY but I am gonna try to make it back by Thurs evening with the new supercharger on and riding on the rev limiter.

Obviously its not that big of a deal to you or you would have decided that you would stop breaking the law two tickets ago. If you did something to deserve each one then why fight it? You made the bed you lay in it. Just my opinion.

I have a wedding in the afternoon but seeing as how I live 3 miles away I should be able to stop out for a few moments early.
-
Is there any place down there on a wed that are good? Its the only night my buddy can go out and I wanna go somewhere enjoyable. I have obviously been out of the game for awhile. A lot of stuff has changed.

Heres you a couple decent cheaper ones. The newer 951s are a little bit better but obviously a bit more expensive. I don't know how much your willing to spend but these are a driveable distance away and a decent price. Hurry up and buy something and get your ass out on the water next Thursday so I can walk all over it. Really though, you will have a great time, we always do. Hell Shanton and I can even have a good time going by ourselves. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1994-Seadoo-XP-650-w-trailer_W0QQitemZ130311594042QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPersonal_Watercraft?hash=item1e572d203a&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1171%7C240%3A1318 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1995-95-SEA-DOO-XP-LIMITED-800-787-JET-SKI-SEADOO-BOAT_W0QQitemZ370209914950QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPersonal_Watercraft?hash=item56323b0046&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1171%7C240%3A1318

Fuck today off, go to work and take tom off. We are going to Cedar Point damnit! P.S. Let me know if you feel like going out tonight. Me and Eric are meeting my buddy from Boston in the arena district. We are starting kinda early so I can call it a night kinda early

Yeah that is why I suggested the Sea doo XP. It has all the charactoristics of your ski but still has more parts available than my ski even though they dont make it anymore. I wanna know when were cutting open your waterbox. I mean you do have a whole week until we have to get it back on the water. You can finish the waterbox and make a homemade intake like I did. Then we should be able to do some prop adjustments.

If i were you I would try to stay away from the 3 seaters. I have two GTX's and Andrew has one as well. They are good ski's but they dont move like the sportier two seaters. Its all in the handling. It makes your ski a whole different animal. Yes my ski is fast but its a damn bathtub in the water. I can stand on one side of it and it will barely budge. Sometime I enjoy ski's like Shantons more because its more fun to play with. If you look for one way too long it will roll over. I have see him make moves with that ski that Ive never seen anyone else do before on anything and it can do a whole lot more "fun" things than mine can. You will quickly be unhappy with a 3 seater I am sure of it. Especially if you come out with us and ride someone elses. You will get to watch why we throw ourselves off time after time and you wont be able to do the same.

Sounds like a good idea. I am busy as hell this week as well. Maybe someone can make this a sticky again this year and change the title to read Thurs instead.
-
Will these bolt up to a 2gen DSM fwd?
-
I'm down for Thurs except for this week I think I am headed up to Cedar Point, I have a friend in town. That also means we are gonna have to figure out when you and I are gonna head up to Erins house for wakeboarding.

I dont know if you saw it or not but I responded to you before, take a look at Greenhulk.net You will prob learn more about any of the types of skis than you care too. Also there are a lot going in the classifieds. They are really easy to work on. Basically just like any other toy you have just wrapped in a fiberglass shell. My advice to you if you want something cheaper and fun look for an older sea doo XP. they will still do 60 and are fun/unstable (in terms of handling) skis. If you have any questions regarding any of them just give me a shout.
-
No wonder I hadn't heard back from you. I had sent you a PM but I just looked in my sent box and realized I guess it didn't go through. Let me know when ever is best for you and I will make some time to come pick it up.
-
Get on http://Greenhulk.net There are a lot of cheaper/fun skis that may or may not already have some mods done. If you have any questions let me know. I have learned a lot about skis in the past year and even more since I started modding mine. Nice meeting you as well. I am sure everyone will be seeing a lot more of me now that I am back.

Talked to Shanton tonight and he said that most of last years crew is ready to get out on the water again and we are gonna try to get together on Wed up at alum. I would say start meeting at 6pm boat launch at the marina unless anyone has any issues with that. Chime in if your down for this week.

+1 on the thanks for Doc and everyone else who made it happen. It was a really nice event especially being that it was my first event since I left last year. It was nice to see some familair faces and meet some people I didn't know. It was great seeing all your toys and I am sorry I didn't get a chance to introduce myself to you and to a lot of others.

I might be around. We are going up there but I don't know if I can make it to hooters in time. I wouldn't mind giving the Talon a little extra cruise though.

Well after the last 6 months I have had plenty of stuff to bitch about when it comes to being in the military but I was definatly reminded today how there are some positives to being in. How many people really get to say that they got put up in a 5 star hotel in Dubia all paid for by the Gov/Airline company who fucked up our travel arrangements. This place is amazing. I would love to come back here and vacation longer. Anyone else ever been to Dubia? I got to see the worlds largest mall, and I know they are supposed to have some kind of man made islands of the world or something. On a side note: I think I just got hammered before I even finished the neck of the complimentary bottle of Captain Morgans they gave me. I am suprised it went down this easy for the first time having any type of a drink in 6 months. I am doing my best to try and remember this place.
-
No, unfortunatly I am still oh about 6,900 miles away from Alum but ask me that question again in 5 days because the answer will be different.
-
Yep even at tiny posts like Donna Anna they have one set up in that little chow hall.
