  1. I have a customer that had horrible water and I refused to install a new geothermal on his well in the current condition. We brought the well driller out and he redrilled the well and in only 39 feet more depth had beautiful water. He was able to remove half of the water treatment equipment in his house and only has a softener which uses less than 1/4 the salt it used to. I think he had around 2k in getting his well fixed and we have yet to had any issues with build up in the unit.
  2. Hilliard Lawn and Garden on Cemetery road is the only person I would deal with. The owners name is Earl. He can often be found at the parts counter. He is a big customer of mine and has worked with my family for over 20 years. I buy any and all of my equipment here. I see you found your own parts but for future reference and others too.
  3. I did hear the docks are in.
  4. You sign a paper when getting the plates that says you have insurance when you get your registration new or renewed every year.
  5. I remember reading a lot that you are very into fishing. I had thought for some reason that you didn't fish much for bass for some reason. If you do, or when you do, what is your go to bass colors?
  6. Anyone on here fish with big joshy's http://www.bigjoshyswimbaits.com ? I hear so many good things about them but keep procrastinating on ordering. I finally put in an order today. I bet the ponds would eat these up.
  7. Where do you live? It is my families business. I would like to know if I have been to a fellow CR members house and didn't know it. Feel free to pm me if you want to add in specifics. Your kind words are very appreciated.
  8. If you are on the north or northwest side of Columbus call the shop and my wife will call you in the am if you want to schedule a time for us to look at it. Walking Dead

Fuck, hurry up October. I was not a walking dead watcher until last month. I was able to catch up on Netflix and watched the last three live. I'm not prepared to wait. I wanted answers on Beth and Wtf was going on. It's like the governor all over again.
  11. If you aren't set on the p3at, vances has a really good price on the ruger lcp. They are $279 this month. I preferred the lcp myself.
  12. What are you looking for. I come across a lot of stuff my base gets rid of or I have that they don't want back.
  13. Permits are "required". Many localities look past jobs such as water heaters as it is simple and not a huge deal. Permits are in place to protect the consumer. If you have someone you ha e used and trusted for many years you can slide under the radar. Of course if you feel better about getting one by all means do so. Just don't feel bullied into it if you feel fine with not doing so. Columbus on the other hand, that's a different story depending on where in the city you live. They are like vultures there.
  14. You guys really are spending needless dollars getting permits for a water heater. Not needed if you use a reputable company. Is it a furnace that uses the water when it runs? If so those are much more expensive. DO NOT replace it with a home depot water heater. They need much higher btu output to operate correctly. There is a condo complex in Hilliard that uses these and they learned the hard way when their maintenance man replaced a bunch of water heaters for owners just to have us come back and put the right ones in. If you have questions send me a pm. And for those of you talking about home depot and Lowe's water heaters, almost all of them are made at a cheaper quality than ones that a contractor sells. They are cheaper for a reason. I am a rheem dealer and I just attended a meeting held to inform us that next month home depot will be selling rheem water heaters. The reason it is a big deal for us is that customers will see a huge price difference meaning home depot will be much cheaper. But, to protect the contractors, the line manufactured for home depot will be utilizing cheaper metals internally as well as plastic gas valves and drain valves externally instead of our steel and brass. At a price difference of all but $120. May sound like a lot until you consider the length of warranties and time between replacements.
  15. The big question for me will be if it is running in time and how dialed in I can get it before hand. I started putting it all back together as I would like to make this but it will be here quick. Plus, I don't know if Brian will want to dyno a heavy ass, Smokey pig. Chances are it won't be running. If it is, I prob won't get it tuned enough to throw much nitrous to it and I will be plenty shy of the 800hp I would like to see.
  16. Last time I talked to Brian he wasn't excited about loading my heavy ass truck on the dyno and dealing with all the smoke. Is this still a concern? If it helps I have put her through a bit of a diet and she only rings in at 6800#.
  17. I'll buy them but I bet it would be difficult to meet being on the opposite sides of town. Do you ever come up towards dublin?
  18. I will go ahead and share my personal insight on this. I do this often as it is part of the job being a plumber. Many times sulfur type smell can be iron bacteria. You have to be thorough to try and remove this. It is bad for all parts of your well/water system to constantly dump chlorine through it. I have noticed many people saying how they bypass their softener. While chlorine can hurt a resin bed in the softener, I always introduce a small amount into one to kill the iron bacteria throughout the system. It is a bacteria so it lives and grows in there and can spread quickly back through the system if not killed. Many times you can completely get rid of all iron bacteria and never have issues again. Sometimes it is part of your well system that will return after time. My brief explanation of how I do it: First I use a 2" piece of pvc with a 2x3 coupling at the top with the funnel. This is long enough to reach down past the pitless adapter. I silently cuss every customer I have that dumps chlorine all over their pitless adapters. It ruins them and will cost you much more down the road. After I dump in the chlorine I do put the hose back down in the well head and circulate the water throughout the system. I do turn the softener to bypass for the time being. Next I run through each faucet briefly both hot and cold. It need to be introduced throughout the water heater as well. I let the chlorine sit in the well as long as possible. Some situations I have been able to do 48 hours. Before flushing I open up the softener to introduce the bleach in the resin. If you have a twin tank you will have to do both tanks. After running briefly through the softener I will run a hose outside into an area not harmed by the chlorine and let it run, run, and run some more. When I have non chlorinated water I run hot water to remove it from the hot water heater and I regenerate my softener to clean it out. That is the general method I use. Many will argue it I am sure but I have been doing this for awhile and have tried many methods and this way works. I have had lots of training in different well and geothermal classes that teach the same methods.
  19. I just saw this is a bit old but hopefully can clear up some of your questions. I assume you got the issue worked out and the truck is running by now but I am sure nothing was wrong and your fuel was gelled or you air locked the engine. Either way welcome to cold weather and diesels. It's the nature of the beast. If you can get it parked inside you won't have those hard start issues. I haven't plugged my truck in since the first year I owned it in 06 and did away with my second battery long ago. Throw all the blow by stuff out the window. Not to say that it has never became an issue for people but 90% of the people blow that whole thing into something it isn't. Extend the hose down and never worry again. With a short hose my makes a mess as well and my engine is in great shape. And that is with 212k miles, many of those with an s400 charger and nitrous. Don't take everything you read on the forums for gold.
  20. I have been there as well. I think it was on rt 22. I went to wyotech 05-06. When I was there the highlight show was the peg leg stripper. Go ahead and imagine that when you pull through the drive through.
  21. Dot you still have the download? I don't know anything about torrents.
  22. I have the insanity workout on disc but my disc number one got damaged and now freezes and won't run correctly. My others fine. I was hoping someone has a digital copy that I can get. I don't know anything about pirate sites and trying to download stuff so that's why I haven't looked into that route.
  23. Did you get it for a hell of a deal or did you pay a similar 7k +
  24. If you have to ask, well then you surely already know... Right? I would do it for a brief lol at the range every now and again.
  25. Coyotes hunt more in the day than people think. I see them more in the day than I hear them at night. They can be worth some good money too.
