Fantastic breakfast too!

Had to do some reroute to stay dry and out of the nasty hail and thunderstorms going across western Tennessee and Kentucky. Looking for a decent area to stay the night... we are about an hour out.

I agree the 600 out of the gate is asking for trouble. My son rode the baby Ninja for a season and got acclimated to riding. The 250 did become slow quickly. After a year he moved to a 600 and has been good, although it still worries me every time he throws a leg over the bike. We have all been doing this for years and know how quickly shit can go pear shaped. Back to the FZ1... they just don’t get a lot of love, even though it may be one of the best all around motorcycles ever made. It’s comfortable, fast, handles as good as anything, and maybe most importantly... you get liter bike engine and power for Nighthawk 750 insurance rates. What’s not to love?

Traxxion AK20’s up front and a Penske rear will do the trick. I believe the fork is KYB 43mm unit, which should make it easy to find rebound/pre-load adjustable caps. They may be able to add compression adjustment, but not sure of the financial commitment.

I am trying to convince @DerekClouser to organize a ride... even if it’s a little loose. It’s the only way we all get to see each other in the wild.

Very nice FZ6... such an underrated bike.

Thanks How are you getting along with the Tracer GT (FJ09)? FJR is more than likely in my future, but I have not ruled out the Tracer/FJ with bags. The light weight alone makes it appealing.

My son and I have been way above 60 with no issues communicating. The sound level and quality on the 20s EVO is Comparable to my Autocom wired system.

Welcome to OR! by the way, the current gentleman inquiring about your FJR is a board member and very motivated to buy... just an FYI you have come to the right place for motorcycle minded people. We ride SE Ohio often starting out of Medina, you are always welcome to ride with!

I am just north of you in Medina, if your carbs are off bring them up and we can go through a proper cleaning and setup. If your willing to learn, I am willing to help.

Maybe @Hoblick would have interest, or a recommendation. He is just north of you near Marysville.
