Not a bad car, but some of the small failures are pricey.

Look up EIS failure. The electronic ignition switch can fail and strand the car..$2-3K repair at the dealer.

I just like how those who have bashed GM on the weight of their cars are blind to the fact that the Mustang actually weighs more now. Across the board GM has taken weight out of their cars (way past due in my opinion) and that fact seems to be overlooked right now. I am loving what they are doing - this will push Ford to step up again and that is good for everyone.

 

On a related note, did you see the weight on the coming 2.0t? I,for one, require a V8 in this type of car but a turbo 4 powered, 3400 pound, rear drive coupe would be a great starting point for a fun car.

The reason for the ultra extended release was due to the economy situation back in 2008-2009. The project was halted and iced for several years.
