...and my batteries dead too. lol. Guess its time to replace the 05 zx6r batteries right about now. Glad it was only the battery for him.

I use it on the go alot to transfer files to/from other peoples computers. I normally just keep my SD card in the slot of my MBP....which is what I would do with the ipad2 if it had one.

Not sure for the 05 cbr600, but my 05 zx6r pc3 was only $150 pretty standard price for a used. Just throwing out a baseline for ya.

Takes away from the portability aspect for me...its a small accessory but still an accessory id have to carry.

I am definitely in the market for a tablet after im done with grad school. Ill probably keep the iphone 4 and just get a wifi tablet. Figured after grad school the only use in laptop for me is to check email, websites, etc. No more productivity-type projects that will need an upgraded MBP. Im hoping the Xoom comes down a bit in price. Almost snagged one for 25% off until the ended that promo. I was hoping for atleast a SD card slot on the ipad 2. This may be a deal breaker for me.

I fully understand. I hate beautiful girls, great weather, and some of the best roads in the states also. Not really i love all 3 mentioned above but hate the way the state is run and pretentious assholes.

If you wanted perfect weather move down to socal. I took the bike out today. Its cold and theres some gravel in certain places, but im not tearing up the streets like its deals gap so ill be ok. It just feels good to hear, feel, and ride the bike.

BC he hasnt fully proven that the battery is the cause. It may have just been a battery with no charge at first. But once he jumped to a running car all bets are off to what it can be then. More things could have been jacked up....which is very much likely. Hence the reason I asked for more details as to what happens when he puts his key in and tries to start. Buying $50-70 battery just because your MC wont start isnt proper troubleshooting and can be very expensive. If he charges his battery, then it should turno ver the bike as long as he sees 12.8V. If bike starts, and battery loses charge over time then fine replace the battery...its the issue. Did he say his battery was weak? what exactly does that mean? Cant hold a full charge or wont charge fully? Details help.

The car running utilizes an alternator that generates more power then your motorcycle was built for. Most bikes use a flywheel magneto to charge the battery vs the belt driven alternator in the car.

I didnt see any details about anything it would probably help people who are trying to help. -You jumped your bike to a running car batt -Now bike wont start Do you hear your fuel pump and starter solenoid click when you put the key in? Do any gauge lights turn on when you put the key in and turn? You battery may be ok. Hook it up to a trickle charger and see if it can hold a charge, if it holds your battery is good. Its definitely cheaper then just assuming your battery is dead. Volt meter is priceless in this situation. Honestly, its possible you may have fried the ecu. But it could be your starter solenoids and relay also. edit: battery should read 12.8V across the terminals.

This is really sad to hear that an entire era of brave men have passed never to be replaced again. These guys are true heroes, soldiers, brother in arms, etc.

There are some really good deals on WERA to be had...thats where I got my Sidis and i havent even been to the track. i wear em on every spirited ride. My point being, if the track doesnt work out atleast the boot will be useful. You can find a good used pair for around 150 or so.

Man I went to Atlantic city over 4 or 5 yrs ago and it was a dump. Myrtle Beach may be nice and would be worth the consideration.

Man thats a tough price depending how tricked out you want it for the track. You can easily find a tricked out track bike for $4Gs but also clean title and streetable may be more difficult. What are you looking for in a track ready bike (ie mods/equip)?

I plan on getting a ride down to KY 10/22 if youre down for a longer venture. We normally do this to ring in the riding season...normally falls on a sunday. MIL girls/guys, ORDN peeps, and some dayton folks.
