More of a "tool" than a tech question. Tire inflator for air compressor
Mojoe replied to Mojoe's topic in Tech and Tips
With the Snap on one, is there a release button to let air out to bring it down to a certain pressure? The spec don't offer and more detail. Though it looks like there is a button that would do that. -
So I bought one on a kit a few months ago. It worked 2 times and this weekend it doesn't. It's cheap plastic so I'm not surprised. I posting here to see what you guys have used or are using that you like. I would like one with a built in gauge. Pricing ranges from $14-$250, so I need some help here folks.I'm not running a race team. This will be used, maybe 12 times a year, but I don't want to buy another one for quite some time, if ever. Your experience matters to me, so please assist. This is what I have seen and have in mind: http://www.toolsource.com/digital-inflator-2150-p-111885.html Thanks you

I had heard of Frog Lube a while ago and read up on it as well as watched a few youtube vids. Everything I was seeing pointed to me wanting to test it out for myself. Having put weapons through some pretty rough situations in past years, I understood that better ways of protecting the metal would be a plus. Read more about it: http://froglube.com/ I tested it on my Ruger SR9c. I had shot the weapon quit a bit lately and it was time for a good detailed cleaning. I cleaned it with Reminton cleaning products, as I have come to like them quite a bit from using them in Afghanistan. Once I had the metal parts clean and bone dry, I used a heat gun to heat up the parts to apply the Frog Lube. It didn't take long to have the metal too hot to touch. I then used a small paint brush to apply the green spearment smelling lube. And yes, I did taste it, being it is made from all natural materials. It was odd, but not terrible. After I had all my parts treated, I left it sitting in direct sun light for a hour. The I touched the parts again with a little heat, and wiped everything down. I wanted to heat cycle everything once I assebled the gun to ensure function and to remove any excess lube that may work its way out. I fired 20 rounds rather quickly, but not to just dump a mag. Forst shot smoked a little, as it should, and it smelled good. The action of this weapon had never been gritty or rough, but there was a noticable smooth to the function now. I plan to shoot it more and will update with any changes. But, for now I'd say this is a great treatment to care for guns that can improve their funtion as well. Thanks for reading. TLTR: Forg Lube is good stuff.

Those are Pretty amazing.

Came here to post this. Welcome. I always have a soft spot for the BMW's.

Could be that. Or, installing a warm toilet seat for those idle moments.

He talked me through that option. Decided to not do it.

Talk to Brandon at Pickups Plus. I talked to him about it a few years ago and the pricing was good. Then found out no one will do them on a 5 speed. He was helpful either way.

I have been following CL. Thought, I have not seen that one. Thanks for the link. Still looking to see if there is something for less out there.

This might not be the right section. If need be, move accordingly. What I'm looking for is a Quad to hook a blade up to. I'll also use it for work around the property and to pull a yard trailer. I'm not looking for anything new. I'm fine with older, but in good shape. As with anything the better the shape is, and the lower the price is, that would be great. I know I'm asking a lot, but I just putting it out there. My price cap is $2500. Thanks

^^ This mad me LOL

I was explaining meth injection to a co worker over speaker phone on his end. Someone over hearing it told other workers we were talking about doing meth and how it's a good thing. News is retarded. Just like that underground paper article about D Wiggs being a Super car guru shop genius. If they did 10 minutes of research online, they would be saved from looking like idiots. Comes down to people who have no idea what they are talking about, being the ones doing all the talking.

I can tell a solid amount of effort was put into you wanting to be part of this community. Unfortunately, your "Check the box" approach and 3 minutes of work has cost the rest of us, collectively, far more time. I just don't get the feel you are bringing anything to the table, based off of your first impression you are giving us. I look forward to your recovery.

Which one of the 50 drop downs, did you find a mission statement under? I was looking at it on my phone and got tired of all the sub sections on the site.

Let me know when is good for you Ryan. We can set something up.

Thanks Eric. Howard and I really appreciate it. You have a natural shooting skill, so your consistancy made it easy for the small corrrections needed. And I'm glad to hear you say Niki had fun shooting. She literally went from zero, to a very good shooter. In just 30 minutes. In fact, everyone in this class was at the same experiance level. I asked early in the day to trust the coaching from Howard and I when we got on the range. Everyone did that. Several people shot 2" groups of 10 shots. And even the larger groups from shooters were only 4". I'll take that all day. It was a great group to work with. CR, I have time in the first 2 weeks of November. If you want to put a class together with your friends and family, please let me know and I will set that time aside for you. Thanks

Ben, that MRAP is called a MAXXPRO. Off the line assembled, no como gear, weapons add on (like a CROW system), these things are $575,000. The one in the pic's does not have the upgraded armor and independent suspension kit, saving $35,000. These trucks are usually $1.1-$1.6 million by the time they are geared up and used by the military. So, if OSU can get it for free, I say take it. Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. As for maintenance, there really isn't much to do for the environment it's in now. Worst part is a flat tire, each wheel is 300lbs. The motor is a Cummings C7 8 liter and everything is pretty easy to work on, once the armor is out of the way. Same with the Allison 3000 - 3500 series trans. It makes about 375hp and 1050ft tq, this thing will rip your house out of the ground and drive away with it. It's not about if there are IED's here. It's about reusing excess equipment. FYI, anyone who is upset about this, it's because you know about it. Think about all the gear they don't tell you they have, that you wouldn't think they need. This truck is the least of your worries.

Appreciate the info. I'm just looking to do a quick connect to everything that's already there and replace the heater.
-
It's the one I'm leaning toward. Looking to pull the trigger this week, once I'm pretty sure I'm informed and found a good deal. Already have a wall thermostat set up, but will be replacing it with something newer than the current one from 1972.

I'm open to suggestion. I meant to link a 50k BTU output, not the 36k. ish http://www.pexuniverse.com/propane-garage-unit-heater-80kbtu
-
I'm not too picky either. Just need something that will work. Am I guessing the one I have and linked are radiant ones?
-
I have a 28x40 shop that has a Reznor ceiling heating in it. The heat exchangers are bad = replace the thing. It has a 58,500 BTU output. I'm looking to stay in the same range, but open to hear it others have found less works fine, or more output would be better. The propane is already set up. I don't want a floor/wall unit, because I don't want to lose and space. This is the info tag on the unit I have now: http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l284/dsnowgod/51F70C78-D753-4627-9498-0CD69AA27570-1452-000001AB458739EA_zps10eb8a2e.jpg I'm looking at options like these: http://www.thefind.com/appliances/info-propane-ceiling-heater And seeing something like this that seems it would fit my needs: http://www.pexuniverse.com/propane-garage-unit-heater-50kbtu The pricing seems good, but admittedly, I'm pretty uninformed and am looking for some guidance here. Thanks in advance CR.

If she can go and you don't put her in, I would look at it as holding her back. The young mind is ready to learn. Unless you have the environment to have that kid always learning something, I'd say get her enrolled.

^^ I think he's talking about the blond chick that was hanging with the Gov from that town. Just mixed the names up probably.
