  1. I can neither confirm nor deny possibly drifting large military vehicles. Certainly not a 44 passenger bus in Japan.
  2. So no shit there I was, and this is a true story. I use to be in a unit with 16 speed, 20 ton Dump trucks. I was an E4 at the time. It was close to the end of the day, but this truck needed moved. SGT said give me a driver, so I said I'll go. I jumped up in the truck, it had only been parked a short time, so no need to let it warm up more. He's ground guilding me. The truck only needed moved a very little bit, less than a parking space. Although I did not know that. He's waving his arm like come on, come on, hurry up. With an empty truck and it being a 16 gear, it's ok to start out in 2nd gear. So I give it some gas and it takes forever to move. Just as it moved about 5 feet and the turbo spools. He gives me a very sharp hand signal to STOP! I slammed on the breaks. I was afraid we were about to hit something, unseen to me. Nope. That's just all the distance it needed to be moved. Well, all that momentum in the drive train had to go somewhere and the drive shift snapped off at the knuckle to the rear dif housing. The drive shaft flung around out of control under the truck, breaking and smashing what ever it touched. Untill I shut the truck off. The carnage was imprssive. The bad. Out of nowhere, 6 sworn statements were submitted, saying I jammed the truck in reverse after reving it up high. Total BS. I was lucky an investigation was done by a super guru Warrent Officer. 1, the truck was still in 2nd gear, broken to where it could not be moved in any way. 2, it's a mechanical impossibility for it to go from 2nd to reverse. 3, WTF does this unit have agaist this soldier?
  3. Given the mags were in, and metel as well, I have to say there was ammo in there even if no round was chambered. But, WTF? They have a whole different way of working on cars over there. Any rock is called a hammer.
  4. Don't end up like this. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l284/dsnowgod/th_73bceb39.jpg
  5. This was just North of Polaris on 71. One tire, I could have changed that out. Two tire's, I'm getting a flat bed, and that day sucked a little.
  6. That was me with the Legacy, 3 years ago. Huge creater in the road, covered with snow, and I hit it in a snow storm. Blew out both passenger side tires and bent the wheels.
  7. Let's do it. No balls, Mother Nature. Totals Subaru with winter tires, during storm. Becomes laughing stock of car forums everywhere.
  8. Oh, damn. I hate it when that happens. Pretty sure we have all had that moment though. Came here to help, but it's seems well covered. GL
  9. I know, I know. I wonder how wierd it's look.

  12. Like Doc said, we picked up a 20g for this last 870. It's for my wife, but I really like it a lot and think I'll be shooting it a bit too.
  13. Another for the 870. You can pick one up new for close to $325. We just picked up a 2nd one. I also started shooting clay in the last few Months. Great fun.

  17. Would be a great scope to put on a .22 for him to get started shooting. Let me know if your boy wants to shoot. I'd be willing to get him pointed in the right direction, safely.
  18. Not sure, but I'm thinking it is this one from Tasco. I'm not able to find anything from "High country". Emblem on the side looks like it could be the same. Just trying to help out with the sale. http://www.opticsplanet.com/tasco-3-9x40m-worldclass.html
  19. ^^ Love it. Good thinking, Doc.

  21. Thanks! We really like it. We have been looking at them for month's and knew exactly what features and package we wanted. We figured buying at the end of the month, and the end of the year should get us some savings on a 2013. It did, once we got to the right dealer. This is a 2013.
  22. Great to see this out come. Nice work Andy, and CR.
  23. I tried to talk to him about it today when I picked up the key. I like to try and improve or help if I can. That's when he gave me the shit story about he would have saved me more, had we financed. Again, we paid cash for the very little over we had from the trade in's. How about you don't play people stupid for $4000 and you would have had a sale. He cut me off with a big cheesy handshake and told me to have a nice day, and walked off. 24. Glad to see another wife in an XV. Also good to hear I'm not off base with how Byers treats people, to include employees. It's like they want to play a car buying game. Who does that work on anymore? We know exactly what we wanted and the cost. We knew what we had in value and were ready for, maybe some out of pocket. How do you blow that deal?
