There is no hour meter on this one. Because I got from the former home owners, I don't have the number of hours used.

Dad is in his 70's and has done tractor work on a farm, from growing up on one, to now helping on farms around him. Kubota's were a brand he always looked at as amazing. He was very much a Kubota fan boy, and getting one for his home use, I think made him feel like he was getting the Lambo of tractors. I think some QC has slacked over the years.
-
All the issues my dad has had with his Kubota has me swayed from them. He's broken bolts, had oil leaks, 2 recalls, some broken metal piece that threw the deck alignment off, and some pto issue for his snow blower attachment on his tractor. That is too many problems in three years and a $10,000 machine.

I'm not positive on the year on this mower, but I will work to get that info. My estimate is a 2010ish. When we bought our house three years ago, I worked it into the contract from the previous home owners, 70 years old. As a plus, he detailed cars here. I thought the mower was new, because he cleaned it all the time. I have continued to keep it cared for by hosing it off after each use, and it has always been stored in a garage. Last year I did plugs, oil change, oil filter, fuel filter, and new blades. It got a new battery this season. It will come with an extra set of blades and a new drive belt, that I just had on stand by. I have mowed with this for three years, mowing 2.3 acres. It has a hitch added to the the rear for towing a lawn cart or roller. It has typical cosmetic wear. There are no mechanical issues. Stickers can be taken off if buyer would like, but they make the mower faster. Feel free to contact me at 614-264-2404. FS thread will be up soon. Thanks to everyone how has posted. It all helps at some level. The 4 wheeler with attachments is impressive. Looking this over tonight, I think I'll stick with the 52", due to my storage space and what I'm willing to spend. I store everything in a side garage right now, and going to a bigger deck would put something outside, or other reorganizing that I don't want to do. I actually thought there would be several people saying what I was looking at was overkill. I'm pleased to see there are others that are working with larger capacity than I am looking at. Ryan, Husqvarnas is out due to service locations and several people telling me issues and constant maintenance. Two commercial mower companies said they had too many problems and went back to ExMark's. As for other manufacturer's, Dixie Chopper I will look into, but pricing is likely to be too high. Grass Hopper was actually one that I looked at first, but I need to see other ones they offer in 52". Hustler and JD are out and Scag is still one that I know I can't got wrong. ExMark might not be in the running so much, after sitting in one this afternoon. Just didn't like where the controls and adjustments were and set up. There are dozens of makers out there, and I'm sure some are good. At this point, it's tough for me to put my money on a mower that does't have a commercial level backing of good reputation. There is a 61" form ZBeast, at Home depot for $3500, and I would get 10% off that. But that is just rolling some gonna be pissed off later dice, a few years down the road.
-
The price point on larger than 52" deck gets crazy, fast. I'm thinking the low side of commercial mower level, will give me the value and long life out of the mower. Used mowers in this range, that I have seen, are still holding a price that makes me lean toward new and have a warranty. I'm not looking to work on something, as I don't have much time for the projects I already have going. Greg, your link didn't go to the Kubota. My dad has one though, and he has to have work done to it 2-3 times a year. He paid about $10k new, and is always needing something fixed.

Not looking to do anything like that. Like I said, looking to upgrade and pick up the pace on cut time a little.
-
Like like to cut time by 20 minutes. 1mph in a mower is a big help. It's not just mowing a flat square. Mowing around things, like trees and structures, all add to mow time.
-
I'm looking to upgrade my zero turn. I mow about 2.3 achers. Currently, I'm running a Toro ss5000, with a 50" stamped deck, and a top speed of 7mph. I'm looking to reduce my time mowing and get something newer, while my current mower still holds some selling value to off set the cost of the new one. What I have found that I like so far is between these two: The Scag has a 3 year warranty and is $5100. The Exmark has a 4 year warranty and is $5600. The scag will do 8mph and the Exmark is still at 7mph for me. Both are a 52" deck. Exmark's customer service is reportedly amazing. Although, there is nothing bad seen for Scag. I'm leaning toward the Scag for the speed and cost, with known reliability and durability. Is there a competive mower in this range that I am over looking? How the hell am I justifying $5k to mow my lawn? Thanks, CR. Forums and Facebook are probably the best filter for real interest. I had my last car on Autotrader and was badgered by auto brokers wanting to sell my car for me, for a fee. Ended up selling to a friend of a friend on Facebook.

Solid showing, new guy. You've supported your statement completely, with your wealth of information and sharing your experience. Well done. Welcome.

I did the trade-in deal today. Turned out the screen protector I have is what was cracked, so no $100 to fix it, same with wife's phone. You have to pay the tax on the phone. So, for two 32Gig phones, it was $97. They will charge you like you financed the phone for the first three months'ish. They give themselves that much time to receive your phone back, and for them to inspect it. They cover shipping. Then, your bill will be credited what they charged you. Can't see how this ends up bad. Upgraded from 16 to 32 gig, and the new platform, and the out of pocket for two phones was less than $100. Should have new phones next week, but I can see that getting delayed. You can only do this trade-in online or in store, not over the phone with customer service.

I have this one, new. https://smile.amazon.com/RE-0930-Performance-Universal-Clamp--Filter/dp/B00029WZGQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1473766743&sr=1-1&keywords=K%26N+3%22+filter Just never ended up needing it. How's $30 for it?

Talked to ATT today about better plan options and their not having a contract anymore. I'm kind of in a no win for my situation. They did tell me that until September 30, you can trade in your good condition i6 for the 32G i7, even if you only have a 16G i6. Of course, I have a minor crack in the screen. Screen replacement is $90-$130, depending on where you go. I went to the Henderson Road location, FYI, if you need to reference that deal.

This is as stupid a domestic Vs imports. Pick what works for you, and be happy with it. Bashing someone for not driving the same car as you, or having the same phone as you in this case, is some teenage bullying shit. What's next, Snap on tools are shit, and everyone should only be using Pittsburg tools from Harbor Freight?

Thanks for the kind words, Brad. You guys are great to work with. Your wife had no bad habits to break, so coaching became pretty easy going. Looking forward to seeing the vid of her shooting a shotgun shell off the target frame.

That rod keeps from the metal tank from being eaten. It is the trade off of two issues. Glad to see you got something you were comfortable with.
-
Update and wrap up on this: I sent the remaining rounds, about 40, back to CCI. They said the rest fired fine and appreciated me documenting things the way I did. My compensation was 100 rounds from them. Considering 50 rounds is about $15, and shipping things back to them was $9, and I gave them back almost a full box. I'm at break even on this. Had I been someone who had to bring the gun to a gunsmith and didn't want to dislodge the round from the bore, I would be out money. Send me stickers, a t-shirt, 200+ rounds, any one of those would make me tell people how awesome you are. Break even on what could have been a dangerous situation, is a bit of a let down.

The anode rod is not what makes your water smell. What are you going to do when your water has Oder, but there is no anode rod?
-
I'm confused by you post. The anode is not the source of the smelly water. The rod does its job. Over time, it needs replaced and that is when you smell the hot water. Peroxide and chlorine are other items to aid in fighting smelly water. http://www.waterheaterrescue.com/Longevity/water-heater-anodes.html

Good looking AK, Bob. For those who have been considering one, AK's are just that gun you have to have. Abundance of ammo out there at a decent price, and the overall use of these guns is great. GLWS.

Derek, we have seen and read the same things. I believe in 2013, GE went to all American assembly and parts in the GeoSpring. That fix many of the issues people were having with them, along with tougher quality control. The units had a red top to them. They switched to a grey top in 2015, or late 2014, and they are almost no issues with them. I have a 2014 red top and it does it's job. Well water, and changing to the aluminum anode along with the peroxide added fixes 95% of the oder, if you only smell it with hot water. If you smell it with cold water, shock your well, and you will be all set. FYI, my dad's plumber recommended the heat pump water heater, because he doesn't get called to fix them anymore. I was shocked my dad had one. He was clueless about it. He just wanted the low cost of use, with just him in the house. Annual cost is $220.
-
We have had ours since 2014. We are on well water, and the Geosprings come with a magnesium anode rod. Changing to an aluminum is recommended for wells that high iron and keep hot water oder down. Without going tankless, I'm not sure there is a water heater without a anode rod. That are sacrificial to preserve the tank, and are meant to be replaced.
