  1. Did you use to be a member on here that had the screen name, Hal?
  2. Bump. This is in two short weeks.
  3. Viper systems are going to be in that price range. Other systems, I just couldn't find the reliability to justify the lower cost. We did a Viper through Pickups plus on my wife's car. The cost sucks, the connivance and quality is justifiable.
  4. I thought I would bring this thread back to life, not realizing it has been two years. Several people I have talked to on here have surprisingly read this thread and mentioned it to me. There have been some progressive updates in my pond management, so I thought I would share. Cattails are a pain still. Chopping them only works out if you can do it when the water level is low and cut them low to the ground. Then, when the Spring rain has the water level over what you cut, they don't grow. But, then you have the cut stocks that are an eye sore for your shoreline. This year I treated with a chemical that was suppose to kill them down to the roots. It brown the leaves a little, but not enough to kill the plate. I treated again and got the same effect. You have to treat them after June and when they are in full grow. As of now, I'm still pulling them by hand, and it sucks miserably. I will likely rent a small backhoe and dig them out and re-edge the pond at some point. Algae is going to always be an issue with any pond that does not have a in and out flowing source of water. I have used algaecides in past years with success. I don't like putting chemicals in the pond, but I can't say I have seen any harm to this product, https://www.amazon.com/Cutrine-390104A-Applied-Biochemist-Algaecide/dp/B00QXNPE1S/ref=sr_1_66?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1475417286&sr=1-66&keywords=pond+algae+control I have tried putting barley straw and other natural corrective additives to the pond, but there was no noticeable fix to the algae. Last year I have read about the use of Tilapia, a warm water fish that feeds on algae and other bacteria. Read below copied from Wikipedia: Tilapia has been used as biological controls for certain aquatic plant problems. It has a preference for a floating aquatic plant, duckweed (Lemna sp.) but also consume some filamentous algae.[15] In Kenya tilapia were introduced to control mosquitoes which were causing malaria, because they consume mosquito larvae, consequently reducing the numbers of adult female mosquitoes, the vector of the disease (Petr 2000). These benefits are, however, frequently outweighed by the negative aspects of tilapia as an invasive species.[16] Tilapia are unable to survive in temperate climates because they require warm water. The pure strain of the blue tilapia, Oreochromis aureus, has the greatest cold tolerance and dies at 45 °F (7 °C), while all other species of tilapia will die at a range of 52 to 62 °F (11 to 17 °C). As a result, they cannot invade temperate habitats and disrupt native ecologies in temperate zones; however, they have spread widely beyond their points of introduction in many fresh and brackish tropical and subtropical habitats, often disrupting native species significantly.[17] Because of this, tilapia are on the IUCN's 100 of the World's Worst Alien Invasive Species list.[18] In the United States, tilapia are found in much of the south, especially Florida, Texas, as well as far North as Idaho where they survive in power plant discharge zones.[19] Tilapia are also currently stocked in the Phoenix, Arizona canal system as an algae growth control measure. Many state fish and wildlife agencies in the United States, Australia, South Africa, and elsewhere consider them to be invasive species. I added 10lbs of tilapia to the pond last year and noticed a great difference. I wasn't worried about the invasiveness of them, as they spawn every 18-30 days. I actually wanted them to do this, so as to provide more feeder fish to the predator breeds I have stocking the pond, such as bass, strippers, catfish, crappie, and some perch. This season I bumped it up to 15 lbs of tilapia and I think that's the right amount for my pond. I had to do some algae treatment early in the season, April and May, but I believe the mild winter was much of the cause for this. Stocking of tilapia is based off of waster temps being over 60 degrees to add them. Most hatcheries don't stock them, due to the sensitiveness of them and fail rate in keeping them alive. Jones fish has done well with this. https://www.jonesfish.com/content/tilapia Last year I did not harvest the fish, however this year I will be doing a harvest on Oct 15th. No sense in letting them just die off when the water is cold. Feeder for the pond. https://www.amazon.com/Moultrie-6-5-Gallon-FeedCasterTM-Fish-Feeder/dp/B001RE3JSS/ref=pd_sbs_86_4?ie=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B001RE3JSS&pd_rd_r=QJYP3ZCRF53EEPSMW294&pd_rd_w=5L4by&pd_rd_wg=OROzZ&psc=1&refRID=QJYP3ZCRF53EEPSMW294 https://www.amazon.com/Wildgame-Innovations-FILMED-MONO-CRYSTALINE-DESIGN/dp/B0010YA5M8/ref=pd_bxgy_200_img_3ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=MR5WHHV2XEAJBXA8GXM3 http://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/sportsmans-choice-floating-pond-and-catfish-feed-40-lb?cm_vc=-10005 http://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/sportsmans-choice-trophyfish-feed?cm_vc=-10005 Supplementing food was something I was disappointed that I had not done sooner. I use to hand feed some pellet food, but not enough to really get benefit from it. Adding a timed feeder and a high protein feed, is really a great combo. I actually added a second on on the other end of the pond a week after putting up the first one. I wanted to be sure the fish were using the whole environment, not just hanging around the food source. Although I only started this about two months ago, I know I have set the fish up for a good Winter and some late season growth. I can't wait for Spring, and a full next season. Pellet feeding should be stopped when water temps hit 60 degrees, or if they get in the high 80's or more. My pond loses water level often, so the added food is another benefit to offsetting feeding options for fish. The feeders are set to auto feed 3 times a day for 15 seconds in the morning, 5 seconds in the afternoon and then another 5 seconds in the late evening. I just ordered another 15lbs of feeder minnows for the fall, 150 3-5" blue gill, and twenty 6-8"large mouth bass. Those sizes for stocking are important, because anything smaller than that may not spawn in the Spring and may be small enough for the current predator fish to feed on. As a note, blue gill spawn very often Vs hybrid blue gill do not. Red ear, also do not spawn as often. I need to up my spiny fish population to get the catfish bigger and the bass. My goal is for friends and family to catch fish often, and some of the bigger fish they have caught. Having a secondary food source is an added bonus too, plus the fun of going out and reeling in a fish when I want to.

  8. I'm changing up my home office, and have under used this printer. It will print photos and is also able to scan and copy. It will come with 4 new ink cartage's, and I think one is a color cartage. The cartage in the printer now, was recently replaced. It comes with USB cable as well. Cartage's are about $15-$20, depending on where you get them. So, this is coming with about $80 of ink. It retails for $300 for the printer, I'm firm with $200 for everything. More details are in the Amazon link below. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l284/dsnowgod/for%20sale/559DD036-C124-4891-A616-CED151343775_zpsuvwzdh9v.jpg https://www.amazon.com/Canon-MP495-Wireless-Inkjet-4499B026/dp/B003VQR1S4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1475329198&sr=8-1&keywords=canon+mp495
  9. Exactly the way I see it too. Well said.
  10. Ruger has been greatly over looked on the tactical/self defense side of guns. They make a great AR at a low cost. The SR series pistols have performed very well. I would like to see what the real difference is between this "mil spec" American pistol. Two years ago, the military put it out there that they would be updating from the SF93 M9. I'm sure this is the result for attempting to get that contract. From what I have heard, Glock was the favored pick and Sig was picked also. Noe the less, neat gun that I would like to run through a stress shoot.
  11. I am a Moderator on here. That means, who runs this site has deemed my outlook and way of doing things is fair for how they want the site to function. You fail to understand, or more likely are just too arrogant to grasp, that the members here and moderators simply tolerate you. We dream of your contribution here being of substance, yet you continue the nightmare reality of being an argumentative asshole. The poor reputation you speak of, may have been in years past where dumb asses would over troll or just not represent the forum well. That's gone, except for you. You are the single most pain in the ass member on this forum currently. Unfortunately, you look at that as a badge of honor. Your contribution = zero. Hold a charity fund raiser or something, and give back to the the members here in some way. Because as of now, all you do is shit on the table while we are all trying to just hang out and talk.
  12. The only shitty dynamic that pops up again and again where it is unwanted, like prison rape, is you. You are the one who shoves your views on this forum. And, if someone doesn't like it,YOU over quote the fuck out of everything posted, and their interest in the thread dies of exhaustion. This forum has done very well with having diverse members. If you don't like the balance the rest of us feel there is here, log out. Insulting this forum and its members is unacceptable.
  13. Trump, stop interrupting and being smug. You are a child in your approach. Show an ounce of professionalism, and you would have won this already, whether that is a good or a bad thing. You have accomplishments, but you are lacking in substance because you always go back to you saying you are successful. You don't speak in a way people want to hear you, so you become hated. He enough discipline to project your information, so people want to hear what you have to say. Clinton, I can not come up with a painful enough way that I wish you would suffer. You present well and will fool many. You are unaccomplished and have ridden on the coattails of the people around you and the guidance of you staff. Your well timed phrasing on key words wins over the naive who talk what you say as truth. You have no spine, you bring up Trumps income, yet no one talked about yours. Then you play on your dad being a hard worker, making people assume you are. You take donations, and the highest ones get your favored agenda pushed. You are not a leader. PLEASE, CAN WE HAVE ANOTHER OPTION WHO STANDS A CHANCE?
  14. ^^This. I can't put money toward it until the battery technology moves forward. Tesla is on the edge of that. But, it is only now being fielded and tested in homes in Australia. The better bet is buying Tesla stock, wait for this battery to come out, then sell the stock and pay for the solar. We still have at least 5 years, I'm guessing, before the affordability and more technology comes around. Like Jesse said, 7-15 years to break even and at that time you'll be out of date, like an iPhone 3. So at that point, you are up grading and in the negative.
  15. I had a few minutes to kill and enjoyed spinning your words in a quote, as you so often do. Enjoy your weekend.
  16. Muthafucken ego maniac. And you frequently reply, with how most on here are in a fantasy world. How's the view from up there?
  17. Interesting read here. I've had two HD rabbit ears for a couple years and they are very limited on local channels, maybe 6-8 of them. Keep us posted. I'm going to check out that site Brian linked too. Looking into this more, what are you guys seeing for lose of viewing quality, channels or anything else, over distance in cable? I'm looking at 150' of coax from antenna to TV, if I mount outside. I have two bails of coax, so I'm not going to run out, but I question loss of transferred info in that long of a cable.
  18. I don't think she rolled with the punches at all. She is entertaining to watch in this, because she is so uncomfortable. Her saying she regrets doing this, is the only honest thing she may have said ever. I'm guessing she was trying to show a more relaxed side, like Trump letting that one late night guy mess up his hair. BTW, the democratic nation convention going on for the forth day in Charlotte, is impressive.
  19. Stopped by ACE in Westerville last night to at least look at them. They didn't have any. The guy I talked to couldn't even find them as an option to get it. So service near me, through them, wasn't happening.
  20. Love the write up, Ryan. Looking forward to the updates. If you need to store a few things, let me know, and I'll do what I can to help.
  21. Took a $400 deposit tonight until the new owner can get a trailer. This sale is paused until, completed or should something change.
  22. I went to EVO in Delaware this morning. Turns out Gravely runs a pretty solid discount for my work. Difference of $1100 less, and now I am considering the 60" deck, since it is still far less in cost to others. BPS has a pretty know rep for high pricing and even a shady sales story was shared today.
