  3. I'm trying to avoid powder coating ,but is is an option. I'll let you know if I go that route. Thanks PM replied.
  4. How do you practice shit like that? You don't, it's like " look what I can do". Amazing.
  5. + 1 for whell medic. They worked on my Brydon wheels that I cracked and did a great job. Good luck.
  6. I thought I might share something’s I've learned about paint for a car. My needs are this: nasty scratch on a door and possibly wanting to repaint whole car. Also, I've been looking everywhere for high temp "crackle black". 1st the crackle black: It looks like grip tape and is a clean change from the bling bling everyone has. So where to find it, apparently, you can't. It seems they stopped making it around 1998. Lead being the component that stabilized the high temp treatment (1200 degrees +), was no longer allowed after 98'. The closest I'm able to find on the market now it a "satin wrinkle" finish. This is only rated to 500 degrees, which works fine, but I wanted to see if there was a 1200 degree + out there. If someone finds different, please let me know. Quality nugget of info: aluminum starts to melt/break down at 1400 degrees. MOST manifolds won't see over 400 degrees. As for Painting the car: Not a lot of info here, but some things I felt needed saying. I'm interested in talking to some of the people on here who paint cars. I have been waiting to hear back from a well known person on here that I had left a voice mail for. I'm open to seeing what people can do. That said: I stopped by Achbach Auto Industries today. Dan himself was at the front desk, I don't know if it is always like that. I was mainly looking for the high temp crackle paint and was told he may know how to get it. The man is a wealth of knowledge. He mentioned many of the companies I had been in contact with as possibles, which made me happy I had done some home work to know what he was talking about. After 15 minutes of that topic I said I might be looking to repaint the RX7. I have seen his work on many other cars, including an RX7. Plain and simple, he does amazing work. However, the cost is more that I'm looking to part with for this car. People may have had different experiences there, I don't know. I'm posting this because of how genuine and helpful the man was. I'm still open to ideas so feel free to PM or post them. Thanks for your time.

    Timeline:

Thank you everyone for being so in tuned to what is going on (no sarcasm meant). Just out of curiosity, how many of you will pick up a weapon and defend what you believe? BTW, the only branch of service the president can send someplace without going through congress is the Marine Corps. And you are right, it's for 90 days.
  8. The guy I bought mine off of has a yellow one. I think his office is over there.

  11. Not that Kyle or his car needs vouched for, but I will say this. The lambo went through 2 gears faster the Bruce Lee could punch you 2 times, and the hit was hard every shift. The shifts were so fast and exact it didn't seem possible. 500 HP + AWD + amazing engineering = unbelievable. Thanks kyle.

    Roche Dr.

There is a section of Dublin road like that. Every time I have been over there this week, at least 4, someone pulls out of this one neighborhood cutting me off and going slow as fuck. What goes through these peoples head?
  19. That looks like some of the Kereoke rooms I saw in Japan. They rent them out, like VIP cabana's at Spice. I hope the ones we rented didn't have video. We didn't do much singing.
  20. That's great. They are close on the Marines. Someone has been talking. Time to kill.

    Need Opinions

I'd be torn on this too. I sold my BMW last year and miss many features of having one. My reason for selling was that I out grew the car. If you are looking for reliability and a daily driver I would say the BMW, however, it soulds like you have one that is problematic. The gas money differance alone for the Cobra would probably cover the cost of repairs on the BMW though. I like the Cobra's, but at 18, the BMW may be the car to stay with. My 2 cents.
  22. ^^wow, that's like having one long gear^^
