  1. Say Max, Last time "the boss" and I went to Hilliard was last winter and the show was half the size from previous years. There were so many damn people packed into those two building you could hardly get around! As for me...I'll stay away from the gun shows since the boss got me an LCP for Valentines Day last weekend and just a few hours ago I made full payment on an LWRC M6A3 556 (shipping out to my FFL on Monday). That...she don't know about yet so don't mention that tomorrow night! LOL! She might take my LCP back! Yeeeee haaaaaw! Hell...if ya'll ever want to know where the shows are, just go to this linky. Good stuff! http://www.gunshows-usa.com/ohio_gun_shows.htm
  2. What a media frenzy! You know damn well they'll stand behind their products and make it right in the end. Let's move on media folks...perhaps we get back to this "Obama Care" debacle instead....never mind, back to the Toyota press! LOL!

    Walther P22

Where ya located? Shoot me a PM with your location and if you are not too far, I might just snatch it up.
  4. You might have luck with telling them you're considering switching. Two weeks ago we called our carrier and simply said "how do we go about returning the receiver boxes" and the person on the other line immediately went into a spiel trying to keep us as customers. Oh and miraculously they noticed that we conveniently qualified for a "free upgrade" too. So, in order to keep us, they picked up the cost for the new dish and two HD DVR receivers. NICE!
  5. T#43, Just FYI...Springfield now offers a .45 with a thumb safety. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=156267989 http://www.springfield-armory.com/xd.php?version=136
  6. Yep...just like he said. Defiantly a more robust .44.
  7. I second the nomination to go with the Super Red Hawk. I know I love mine!
  8. I like to wear mine in the small of the back. Makes for a nice right hand draw with the left hand holster. draw
  9. Why thanks for the head up "sweetie". I'll be sure to run every post I make past you first before going "live". Seems to me that this is more appropriate to place in the "Motorcycle News" category rather then the "Track Day" category anyway. Lick sack and like it post Nazi....
  10. So...who does this leave in the paddock? What a shame. How far the Superbike product has digressed under the new regime. KAWASAKI MOTORS CORP., U.S.A. SUSPENDS ROAD RACING FOR 2010 SEASON IRVINE, Calif. (Dec. 18, 2009) ? Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. announced the company will not participate in the AMA Pro Racing road racing series in 2010. "While we've always considered road racing an integral part of our sportbike development process, the realities of the current economic situation dictate the temporary suspension of our U.S. road racing activities," said Bruce Stjernstrom, marketing director. Kawasaki's long history of successful road racing includes 20 AMA series championships. Among the many champions who have worn the Kawasaki lime green racing leathers are Reg Pridmore, Eddie Lawson, Wayne Rainey, Miguel Duhamel, Scott Russell, Doug Chandler, Eric Bostrom and more recently Tommy Hayden and Roger Hayden. "We expect to see eventual improvements in the general economic condition and Kawasaki will reevaluate its road racing position as we monitor those issues," said Stjernstrom. http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2009/Dec/091218a.htm
  11. Passionate and from the heart. That was the best part of it. Seemed like he was pouring his guts out. "Irony"...
  12. Yes sir.....that'd be correct. Heat Mizer it is. Resembles the little devil in all of us.

  13. $1,700 is a big OUCH! Perhaps give the place on Bethel Road a shot? Looks like they have some pretty good reviews. Good luck. http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&source=hp&ie=UTF8&q=buyers+of+fine+jewelry&fb=1&gl=us&hq=buyers+of+fine+jewelry&hnear=Blacklick,+OH&ei=c94rS_OxKtW3lAep_aShBw&ved=0CCQQtgMwAw&ll=40.064389,-83.057268&spn=0.001999,0.003449&t=h&z=18&iwloc=C
  14. My Don Hume IWB works really well for both my Service and Sub-Compact XD's. It retains it shape for easier re-holstering as well. Great holster.
  15. I'm intrigued by this video. It looks as if the AK was double firing rounds prior to catastrophic failure. A VERY dirty gummed up trigger group can cause this. Still...not sure how the AK would blow up unless the ammo was overloaded or a weak round lodged in the barrel (and the next fired round striking it inside the barrel). Crazy to say the least. Bottom line, that looked scary as hell and glad you are okay! Edit: BTW...what brand of AK was it if you don't mind me asking. Perhaps it was a US made B-West model?
  16. with the firearm enthusiast in mind? Any takers?
  17. I'm betting that 99% of all the Glock failures are due to improperly reloaded ammo. Certainly, it does not help that the Glock has an "unsecured chamber" that can cause catastrophic failure in instances of overloading. With that being said, ANY firearm regardless of material can explode like that if they shoot overloaded ammo. Reloading should be taken VERY seriously. Still, Glocks are good guns and one of the "most imitated" firearms in the entire industry. Imitation is the highest form of flattery.
  18. Gotta "redistribute the wealth". You know...give your hard days pay to some free loading lazy ass. Total crap!
  19. Oh and Nate.....any chance you can list what caliber the three Sigs are? 9mm would be the only caliber of interest for myself at this time.
  20. Firearm transfers between Ohio citizens is completely legal. Only responsibility the seller has is to assure the buyer is a fellow Ohio resident. This can be accomplished by checking the buyers drivers license. However, if you are paranoid about selling, you can find an FFL dealer (Federal Firearms License) who can do a paperwork transfer for you. There will however be a fee for this (that can be passed on to the buyer). Most FFL dealers will charge from 20 to 50 dollars per transfer.
