  1. I installed a new fairing stay bracket to replace a broken one. Replaced all turn signals with ones you can actually see thanks to The Pony. Replaced a few more missing bolts and screws and lubed my chain....I said lubed...
  2. Want to see some REAL lane splitting? Go to SE Asia. I was in Bangkok and at every stop light it looked like a swarm of little bikes filtering through all the cars, and they all line up up front and they take off at the green light. Dozens of them. It's something to see. Because big cc bikes are incredibly expensive to insure you should see all the 125/250cc sportbikes over there. They trick those things out like you wouldn't believe. The two strokes sounds like angry bees on steroids and look surprisingly fast. As a footnote, Thailand ALSO has a very high two wheeled mortality rate.
  3. That's why retards shouldn't own guns, unless that's the special suicide model
  4. enough said. i had to read a lot of bullshit in this thread, but this was the post i was looking for. i trust this guy and i don't even trust my mother.
  5. I never read the instructions, so I'm not really sure if I'm doing anything right or wrong. But common sense should have told me not to try to weld on a live hand grenade. I was just trying to add some cool looking little spikes to the squares. Seemed reasonable at the time, but that was back when I was smoking a lot of crack. I should probably give welding another shot.
  6. I tried to weld once. ONCE. $178,500 in medical bills, lost part of my thumb, my entire left ball, and three toe nails on my right foot will never grow back right. So knowing someone who welds and can stay in one piece is a great advantage
  7. Holy friggin monkey balls!!! That ZX-14 had a 50 shot (maybe). I never thought I'd see a car pull so quickly away from a superbike like that. I'd like to see it race with a $15k turbo Busa. Now that would be a race.
  8. A ZX10 with a turbo......NICE!!!!!! I wouldn't care what it looked like or how ghey it was in other's minds, I'd love to ride that just once. I'd just have to make sure i update my will and make arrangements first just in case. I can just see the story now... "A man and his motorcycle were found wrapped around a light pole over 25 feet off of the ground on the south side of 270. Investigators are still trying to piece together what happened."
  9. In 2008 the GSXR was redesigned with many changes to the engine, suspension and brakes. The 06-07 design was all new at the time and only around for two years. I'm guessing they made a lot of refinements and fixed problem spots from the 06-07 model.
  10. A guy walks into a bar and Says "Lawyers are ASSHOLES!!!!" A man in the bar stands up and says "I'm offended by that remark!" The guy says, "Why, you a lawyer?" The man says, "No I'm an asshole!"
  11. If 260 is too narrow you can always go with a 400 from Wellings Engineering....
  12. I love a nice fat rear tire. Nice work! I'm bringing you a set to put on my GSXR very soon
  13. never risk anything you are not willing to lose. are you afraid to die? i'm not
  14. I've watched this video 25 times and still see more impressive shit. i'd say 180mph is a very believeable mark. And you have to realize this guy wasn't running from ANYTHING he was just having fun. He''s out there smoking and look to his right.....ahhhh shit
  15. i'm thinking the cops were all over a bike thing and called out the air support and he had no idea about anything.....and he HAD to be drinking to do what he did right? I have been riding for a while and could never ever dream of riding at speeds that ANY mistake will kil you.....we unless a lot of money is involved....lol the topic was "if i had 24 hours to live" BTW
  16. Can you imagine being him. it sounded like they were on to many bikes at the beginning, then decided to watch this guy. So you are riding home from bike night after a few drinks and....... THIS is why you should never drink and ride, 10 feet tall and bullet proof
  17. I have no doubt this video has been posted before, so sorry for the repost Besides I don't care how many times you see it, it gets my blood pumping every time TURN UP YOUR SPEAKERS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVnWSzHJ6Ks
  18. Care to elaborate on that statement? You can't just drop an assumption like that (and at the same time abusing basic grammar and the English language) without at least an explanation to back up your opinion. In other words...WTF are you talking about?
  19. I was ready to hate on this thread (because Harley guys never wave to me since I got a sportbike...lol) until I read the post and actually opened my mind and saw what Harley has to offer these days. That is an outstanding looking bike. Black is my favorite color. From top to bottom it looks fucking awesome. Love the paint, rims, engine, shit everything about it. NICE!!!!!
  20. Can't pull wheelies on a v-twin? I'm pretty sure a Ducati can manage a wheelie or two
  21. Here is a quick video I took with a $16 camera I'm testing I got off the internet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWpen94S_kw
  22. I'm almost 43 years old and have owned bikes off and on since I was 16. Starting with a Honda MB5, then a KZ550, a GSX450, LTD454 (man I loved that bike), and the only bike I bought brand new a VX800, another KZ550, a 2nd gen Magna, and my latest bike a 00' GSXR600. So I like old school standards and cruisers...or so i thought But this gixxer has me hooked. This bike is so much fun, and SO much safer than any bike I've owned. It is so light, so maneuverable, and the brakes are outstanding. It can stop a full 20 feet shorter than my Magna in my panic stop tests. It's over 100lbs lighter and has twice the brakes. 20' could mean your life. I have no idea why I never owned a sportbike. I've done 150 miles in a day on this thing and it is MUCH more comfortable than I EVER thought a sportbike would ever be. I plan on taking to my mom's place in the mountains of WV on a 300 mile ride and I'm not even sweating thinking about it. I can't see me ever owning anything but a sportbike from now on. Life begins at 10,000 rpm
