  1. Love this episode. Corbin is pretty damn funny, and that shows in all of the little touches you can spot on the car, and his interview.
  2. Yup, traded the Mazda in. I was just on the TC Kline website last night doing some window shopping. Must resist for the time being, seeing as how this car has a warranty on it. Eventual goals are M3/1M front control arms, camber plates, fat wheels/tires, as the lack of camber and wheel/tire relative to the power are this car's biggest faults. I missed most of last season's AutoX due to travel, but the plan is to have a pretty full season this year. If we get a chance, I would love to pick your guys' brains on how set the car up. I'm going to be running in the new RTR class for the time being, and doing everything sideways as the car still has the OE runflats on it.
  3. I wish I had my schedule figured out ahead of time, would love to run the new car at Mid-O and see how it stacked up against my old Mazda.
  4. For an early AP1 like that, boosted or not, I wouldn't do more than $16k out the door, if it's high miles, 12-13k tops.
  5. Both 1'er and 135i have four characters, your argument is invalid.
  6. The 1M was the car that drew me to the 135i, because you're getting 8/10ths of the car for 5/10ths the price. People are buying 1M's as investment cars and trying to resell them for stupid money.
  7. It's been there for weeks, I get that "it's super ragged out" feeling.
  8. If you're ever in Columbus, let me know. I have a 2010 1'er. It's a pretty fun little car.
  9. I was going to post "bullshit article", but you beat me to it.
  10. I'm being completely serious that in most of the cars (not trucks, SUV's or whatever the hell else) you are looking at will produce decent fuel economy numbers. 9 times out of 10, the car isn't the problem with fuel consumption, it's the driver. Learn to drive economically, profit.
  11. I wouldn't necessarily say "vintage", but the RIDE Channel has done a series of interviews with skaters and their experiences with The Skatepark of Tampa. It's a pretty cool look into skate history.
  12. I have seen the satin blue before, and I bet it would look pretty good on a C5/C6. Go for it, and post pics!
  13. I cannot tell, are you seriously pitching this idea to CR?
  14. Seconded on the oil dry. That is exactly what we would do at my old job for cleaning the garage floors, and fuel stations when servicing the buses.
  15. I have noticed a similar trend while perusing through Autotrader, if you open the search results to 100+ miles away, you start getting into PA/VA/MD, etc. cars, and it's a lot easier to find the "enthusiast" versions of a lot of cars.
  16. I think the sedan has some rather ungainly lines at certain angles, love the coupes. In terms of drivetrain, I have only driven the Z-car equivalent with a stick, but it felt like it had a really meaty power delivery for an NA V6. Obligatory noise comment: The noise that the VQ engine/exhaust makes is not for everyone, though I enjoyed it, it felt appropriately "sporty".
  17. It's like a Speed3, but with a lower level of practicality, and performance. The "AWD" system is basic at best especially compared to Audi, BMW, Subaru, etc. The only redeeming feature is that since they were something of a bastard model, you can buy them for stupid cheap. I have seen a bunch for <$10k. Personally, I would in the Speed6 v. Speed3 debate, I would take the 3, it's about 6-700 pounds lighter (the Speed6's were pigs), will be a lot quicker on the freeway, and get much better gas mileage. That, and parts are more readily available should you get in a fender bender or break something.
  18. The SP Sport 600's are garbage, my Mom's car has those as OE tires, they are not even in the same league as the Star Spec. However, you seem to be on the right track with your choices so far.
  19. That's a very open question, what are your goals/intended purposes for summer tires? Does your driving style even necessitate them? If you're not AutoX'ing, tracking, hitting up Hocking Hills, etc, and most of your miles are on the work commute, I honestly would not bother. Necessary spiel aside, if you want really fun tires, check out the new Star Spec ZII, or the soon to be released BFG Rival.
  20. For the love of preferred holy being, do not buy an automatic Miata. Looking beyond that, engines and transmissions on stock/lightly modified cars are stout, look for rusty body panels/undersides, if it's all-original, consider updating key suspension/chassis bits.
