  1. Can't wait to run the fixed course, so I can get some baseline numbers with the new car. I am resisting the urge to fit the new toy I got for my car until I can see what I can get out it of bone stock.
  2. Thanks for including your plates in the pics, at least I'll know ahead of time to prepare for an ass-whooping if I see you. While the silver mesh isn't my thing either, I love the 06/07 cars, they look dead sexy.
  3. HPFP's and turbos are covered by BMW, one is up to 80k miles, and the other 120k, but I forget which is which. The 335's auto trans is a lot stronger than the 28i's, but if it's going to be a stock DD, it doesn't really matter. My roommate's 2007 335i has 80k miles, and had the HPFP replaced at port (0 miles) with the supposed "revised" unit. Beyond that, it's been pretty reliable. Though the fuel economy is absolutely terrible unless you watch your right foot, he is getting < 20mpg. Though if you're looking at x-drive cars, I doubt you care about MPG's because it is not a strong suit for BMW.
  4. That's a Camaro I could sign off on.
  5. He meant in terms of actual WHP/WTQ, the AWD car with more power at the crank would put down similar numbers to the FWD standard car due to additional losses through the drivetrain.
  6. Wish I could pick this up, these cars are fantastic daily-drivers, and are really fun to drive. GLWS!
  7. On paper, yes. They have the right bolt pattern, and the "big" Enkei hub bore means they will bolt up to pretty much any 5x114.3 hub no problem. I am not sure what wheel widths and offsets work on your car though. I am not sure where you are located, but if you wanted to come test fit them, I would be more than willing to accomodate you. Edit: According to the forum, "DSMtalk", these ought to fit rub free. 100% plug-and-play Speaking of fitting, I also have some very nice McGard Splinedrive lugs in black (12x1.5 threadpitch), which are in excellent shape, that I can include in the sale for $75 (MSRP ~$100).
  8. Limited Edition Matte Bronze finished Enkei RPF1 Details: - 5x114.3 - 73mm hub bore - 17x8 ET45 - Weight: 15lbs! - Comes with the optional ($25 a piece!) center caps - 9.5/10 condition, one wheel has a small bit of curb rash, which is pictured (that's what I get for loaning my car out to a friend), beyond that they are in excellent shape - Never used during the Winter, they were dedicated summer wheels Mounted on 235/45/17 Direzza StarSpec Z1's, which are at the end of their lives, would be good for one more AutoX event or so, as you can pretty much get grip from the Starspecs down to the cords. Yes, they are dusty from sitting in the garage, but they were recently waxed, so they will clean up quite nicely. They will be cleaned up for the buyer. 9. Weather.com has actually uprated their expected temperature for 3/30 (first AutoX of the year) to 40* low / 50* high. It should keep going up, and actually happen.
  10. Interesting. Always looking for a solution to cut up hands. I end up poking holes through most of the cheap-o nitrile type gloves within a matter of minutes, but the cheap price tag makes me not feel bad going through a bunch of them.
  11. I have a commercial driving license, I approve this post.
  12. Team BMW making a strong showing ITT.
  13. Just get it paint matched, that looks pretty beat up.
  14. I'll be there. Look for the White BMW in STU. Trying to convince a couple of friends to try AutoX out for the first time, and fun events like these, being that they are so low-pressure, are usually the best for that. I recognize quite a few names on the registration list, some also driving new cars for the 2013 season.
  15. How much racing experience do you have, and is any of it on dirt? I know that Pikes Peak is mostly paved now, but still, could get pretty hairy.
  16. Makes no difference to me, I will still be cruising in the slow lane trying to keep my MPG's up.
  17. My pride won't be the least bit hurt when I see your tail lights. My car is bone stock and slow. Hell, I'll roll a window down and enjoy 5 furious cylinders roaring away from me. For now.
  18. Yeah, I know, it's tragically slow. Probably traps 90mph on a good day. Jones is just picking on a defenseless, little Bimmer with a bad driver. Shame on him.
  19. Isn't Aaron about that tall? He seems to have fit in all of the Golfs that he owned over the years.
