  1. How do you mount/dismount? I assume that in order to get down, he would have to park it next to a low building, or tip it, and then jump off...
  2. I do. It's the standard VBOX - Performance Box (aka, not a driftbox). I'll let you borrow it for the day for $5. I'm in New Albany, right off of Dublin-Granville and Hamilton.
  3. You're a vehicle dynamics engineer, from what I gather, and it's not exactly your area of expertise, but what would your solution be? The auto industry has been reactive in this instance and has started pandering to a potentially tech-savvy buyer with increased competition to develop the most ridiculous tech/interior gadgets. Other than for the sake of corporate marketing dick-swinging, just to say "look what our car has that brand Y's does not", that approach is not working. For example, MyFordTouch, Cadillac CUE, etc. are an attempt to garner second glances from people more interested in the latest iPhone. However, despite how advanced (in terms of tech toys) these brands tout their cars to be, and despite the fact that companies like GM, Ford, or Chrysler are looking towards the next generation of CS students to cultivate their navigation systems, or a cool app, is it working? This is a very scatter-brained thought, but I'm running low on sleep and still have a final to handle before graduating, I'm sure you get the gist of my argument...
  4. Not according to their "Great Lakes" schedule. Bummer.
  5. I have a set of OEM Mazda3 wheels, painted "midnight black" with almost full-depth Blizzaks. Specs: - 215/50/17 Blizzak WS50/60 (can't recall of the top of my head) - 17x6.5 +52ET - 5x114.3 - 73.1MM hub bore, so it'll bolt up to any 5x114.3 hubs as Mazda uses the largest OE hub size I have found for any 5x114 car http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k10/tripleskate/IMG_0904.jpg I have the centercaps as well, they just weren't on in that picture. I have them listed for $600.
  6. Blah, blah, blah. Jalopnik really needs a better quality control editor for some of the articles they release, as that is pure nonsense. There will always be people who are disinterested in cars, regardless of "generation". In the same vein of thought, there will always be car enthusiasts in every generation who keep the torch lit. Yes, they will be the extreme minority, just like any enthusiast hobby. For example, let's say I am at a family get together, I am the only person (barring perhaps my Father, or one of my Uncles, to an extent) in three generations of people that knows anything about cars. To everyone else, they are appliances, boxes that shuttle them around town, and only used on a necessary basis, rather than for enjoyment.
  7. Theory: Newer Honda Accord with a "mystery engine" + juice, means you probably went J37. They respond well to N20 + an opened exhaust. However, you're limited to either the Honda-Matic 5AT, or the 6MT, neither of which is really up to the task of handling a bunch more power than stock. If my assumptions are right, I bet it's a 13 second car, trapping 105-110 at absolute best. Conclusion: Good luck with your blown motor mounts and snapped half-shaft goals of 2013.
  8. Anyone else find it a bit weird that the Owner and Driver are not the same people? I know you're shooting for records, but it doesn't seem very genuine when the Owner put all of that time and money into the car, and then someone else comes and knocks out a glory run.
  9. Co(n)vert Tuning Dynamics, for when D. Wiggs' customers want a shop that isn't a heap of shit.
  10. Are you running any sort of filter/mesh for it? Wouldn't trust the elements, or ricers at HD putting things in there that shouldn't be in contact with a turbo...
  11. Dude's rich AF, a Panamera is just a drop in the bucket for him. Yes, he is a pompous d-bag, but really, why does anyone care about what he or his wife do, let them be. Also, if watching rich people blow money on "rich people stuff" bothers you, watching Himler's Channel is purely masochism.
  12. The Fit Sport Autos are fun little boxes for what they are. You would be surprised how comfortable 6'+ people can be in them. The cabin is a very airy, and nice place to be when commuting or doing errands.
  13. Hi James, is there a price differential if I bought the 3DS with out the Super Mario game? Very interested...
  14. Not at all. Although, if you get hooked and want to do a lot of events, it makes financial sense to join for the event discounts.
  15. OEM runflats, and next to no camber adjustment. This car is hard on the shoulders of tires.
  16. Went 39.9 on my third run, andddd my stock tires greased over/overheated, I didn't have a tire sprayer, the fourth run was shaping up to be a quick one too, until the tires decided throw in the towel, and the damn thing was super loose after that. Bah.
  17. I live down the street, I may swing by for a bit before heading over to the AutoX Driver's School for some spectating/heckling.
  18. Goddamnit, I haven't laughed this hard while reading CR in a long time. I have no stake in this, but your lover's quarrel has me dying over here.
  19. Not explicitly true. I am unsure of the specifics, but at the first AutoX of the year, there was a new Subaru STi sponsored by CTD, which was the fastest in the STU class, and was within a shout of taking FTD at the event....
  20. Wow, 126 registered drivers as of now. That's great for the OVR-SCCA, but sounds like a recipe for only 3-4 runs.
  21. From what I have heard, it uses the same turbo as the 328i (240hp), with different manifolds and less boost. Bolt-ons + Tune with this new 320i = ~300 crank horsepower. But at that point, why would you not just buy the 328i from the get-go.
  22. Pre-Registered last night. Looks like another busy event with a huge attendance.
  23. Couldn't be any worse than F&F. Will probably download for free and watch half of/10.
  24. That's the plan. May have just found a local buyer for my RPF1's as well. That'll cover the cost of entry.
