  1. He could, but he would have to drive to Dayton to get to the car. For reasons that I don't understand, my roommate explained that USAA (his Insurance provider) put the car on an automotive transport vehicle and towed it to Dayton to appraise it, then totaled it on the spot? I guess USAA does shit differently than most providers who would just send it to a bodyshop to get the damage on it. In any case, his payout is sufficient enough for him to not really care, and he will be in another car shortly.
  2. And the news is in. It's totaled. They took the car before he was able to take any of the mods/toys out of it.
  3. I have never understood the logic of people who buy totally stripped out, super basic new cars which are basically just boxes on wheels versus an equally reliable, substantially nicer car that is one to two years old.
  4. Tire Discounters has always done good by me, and you're my go-to guy for alignment work, chalk it up to a win. Congrats on the new position.
  5. This is also a concern. Looking into the trunk, you can see all of the exposed metal work is bent to hell and back.
  6. Yup. Both the left and right 1/4's are either bent or have heavy "waving", and those are huge body panels to replace. That's what makes me think it's a goner.
  7. My roommate was sitting in rush hour yesterday at a complete standstill and got rear ended by a girl. She had to have been doing at least 20mph because she set off a couple of her airbags, that and every single detail on her front bumper was imprinted into his. Other than a stiff neck, he's okay, but now we're betting on whether or not his car is totaled. The pictures aren't very good, but here's the damage: - Exhaust is bent/broken mufflers - Rear glass exploded - Bumper is totaled - Both taillights are done - Decklid and spoiler are also toast - Trunk interior bits bent and broken - Rear fenders got bent and and pressed by the bumpers upon impact 2005 Honda Accord V6 6MT, with ~110,000 miles Just eyeballing it doesn't look totaled, but at the same time that's just our quick visual of the damage we can see, and who knows once the insurance company has a shop starting digging into it some more. Obligatory Pics: http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k10/tripleskate/39310_10151058094551296_136729063_n.jpg http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k10/tripleskate/431665_10151058093431296_548418579_n.jpg Her car: IIRC, 4 airbags went off and it was gushing coolant everywhere. http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k10/tripleskate/552639_10151058094011296_2028043947_n.jpg So. what do you guys think?
  8. - Chin Motorsports - 10-10ths And there's the fella on CR, IIRC "Torqued Racing Solutions" or something like that. His track days are cheappppp!
  9. He's the driver, he can't just leave the bus.
  10. Clean runs, you seemed pretty on the ball for being in a car you haven't driven very much.

    Debate

Noticed the same thing. However, it seems like Romney has been more willing to overpower Lehrer's moderation than Obama. Also, Romney looks to be on the defense, which makes it seem like Obama is "winning".

    Debate

Simply speaking, he's the incumbent this time around. Edit: Currently watching.
  13. Damnit, I really want to do this, but not sure if I will have the car done in time.
  14. I'm pretty sure I have seen the odd post or two from you on FT86C mentioning turbocharging your BRZ down the road. "Done" lol BRZ lol INB4 Jones lol
  15. Looked for a screw, consulted several "walthroughs" and service manual, couldn't find anything. Also, thanks for digging up that thread, wasn't aware I had asked previously, but then I was just looking for someone to turn them, now I am looking for someone to actually get them off the hubs as well since these motherfuckers won't budge.
  16. Is there a specific kit that you bought? BRB, weekend project to deload my brain.
  17. Alright, this has been my second attempt at trying to get the front rotors off the car. They have a lot of pad deposit from my last track day where I absolutely cooked them, and it's driving my crazy feeling all of the vibrations and shaking whenever I use the brakes. They are seized to the hub and no amount of PB blaster, mallets, etc. is getting them off. Who can I trust to get the rotors off and have them turned without tearing my wallet a new asshole? 2008 Mazda3 2.3L stock front rotors only.
  18. As shitty as it is, my guess is 50-50 or the person turning into traffic gets screwed over.
  19. Coming up on 5 years with the minivan.
  20. That power curve makes me think those cams would be happy with a 7500rpm shift point.
  21. I think they would need to slap a turbo on the motor to knock it up to at least 150+hp/200+lb-ft tq before an American would sit their fat ass into one. Even though it is compact, there are too many unappealing factors for the American truck market. Edit: Didn't open the article before posting. LOL good luck pitching that thing in the states, it looks useless! I bet my 3 could move around as much or more lumber, tools, etc. than that thing.
