  1. - 205/50/17 Bridgestone Potenza G019 Grids, HP All-Season radials They are almost full tread depth, I put <10,000 miles on them. Asking $100 OBO. I can ship, but it would be at the buyers expense, and would recommend meeting halfway if possible. Cash, or Paypal (no traveler's checks, etc.). I'm not in a hurry to get shanked or robbed, so I will only meet somewhere out in the open (bank, police station, big business parking lot, etc.). The tires (and me) are located near campus. 2. 2010 135i w/ M-Sport Package, CPO'd, 12,000 miles. My roommate mentioned the valve cleanings on his 335i with the N54, I will have to look into it.
  3. 200 crank horsepower? Sure. I would be amazed if they could do 200+whp on stock turbo. At the end of the day, it's still a tiny displacement, tiny-turbo'd engine.
  4. I have watched every episode at least 10 times, good stuff.
  5. The only real "trouble" cars are the early build '07's, 08+ and you're generally good to go. Very conservatively speaking, if you're sub 300whp, you're not going to hurt the rods. My roomate's Speed is an intake/tune (~19psi) car and has been pretty damn reliable. It smokes on occasion, but it seems like a catch can would solve that. Other than that, he did a battery at 90,000 miles and tires and alignment and that's it. My plain-jane 3 was stupid reliable as well, the MZR series of motors are stout. Just watch out for ragged out transmissions, you'll know right away when you drive it, if it feels like you're driving a tractor, move on to the next car. If you do buy a Speed3, change trans fluid to Redline synthetic, thank me later.
  6. Not an M car, I just tossed up the M logo for kicks. I was tempted to make a thread with a few pics. It's a pretty sweet little ride. We can play the guessing game, it has the twin-turbo N54 motor and a 6MT.
  7. What the EPA "suggests", and what I have actually seen and calculated from several tanks of gas over roadtrips differs. Then again, I have also hit 38.8mpg in my old regular Mazda3 and 36+ in a Miata. DI + Turbo + 6 speed = great fuel economy if you stay out of boost.
  8. Going back to your comment, go test drive a Speed3. I can personally attest that on long freeway trips, I have done 38+mpg in my roommate's Speed. Also, it's a bit bigger than a GTI, especially the back seat/trunk, and if you care about performance, it comes with a K04 turbo stock, and will kill GTI's stock for stock all day.
  9. Actually, with the number of "enthusiasts" I have seen drive a manual car quite poorly, with no concept of rev-matching upshifts or downshifts, that's not a very good indicator. They could just be an enthusiast lacking ability. Pretty amusing list though, especially chassis codes.
  10. Yup, Mazda sourced Northstar V8's for the later Proteges while they were retooling for the Mazda3. Reduced costs of using an existing engine architecture and superior fuel economy.
  11. Head one mile south down Kenny from the Fisher Commons, and check out the place I live at, "The Commons on Kinnear". I have lived here for almost 3 years issue free. http://www.commonsosu.com/index.php/prop/home
  12. Both the Touring and Sport seats have very similar seat bases, which are pretty much flat. The Sport seat seems to have more aggressive shoulder bolstering and I more interesting head rest, but that's about it.
  13. After looking through the configuration options, the seats still don't look up to snuff, they look like they are made for fat American asses. Hopefully they are nicer in person..
  14. I'm in the minority here, I think it looks dead sexy. Imagine the potential for a Z06 body with fat tires in the back.
  15. Useful thread, as I have been researching the basic $200 Go-Pro HD3-White.
  16. Looks neat, but would never come to the U.S. as the domestic market sales of wagons/hatchbacks is pretty low.
  17. Groups like Swift and Hypercoil will make you a custom set of springs for a couple of hundred bucks.
  18. I replayed DK64 a few months back, got through about 90% of it, then never finished. Awesome game, but goddamn it has some tricky sections.

Backpeddling. Then again, this is all irrelevant because my 15 second, manual transmission car is superior to all of the automatic cars ITT.
  20. Underground Racing is small potatoes to Bugatti/VW. I think you have watched one too many streetfire videos and assume that street racing is serious business.
  21. Depends on the car. In my car, I hit the DSC off button every time I get in. In the BMW, for having fun on the street without having a death wish, I hit the DTC button, but leave DSC on. Similar to what Jones said, it lets have a bit of slip and some fun, without ending up backwards.
  22. Kind of basic, but pull the wheels off the car and take pictures proving that they are not bent or messed up in any way, write to whoever you bought the tires from or Michelin and explain that you have tried many methods to alleviate the vibrations but nothing is solving it, and that the tires could be at fault.
