I have used that exact paint. It looks good, but it's difficult to get a smooth reflective surface out of it. Gives the wheels a very "OEM" style grey look.

Reminds me of when I left Columbus at 1am and headed to Baltimore, Maryland to pick up some second hand Coilovers for an absolute steal. The guy was old and did not want to deal with shipping and as he had already gotten rid of his car, just wanted the leftover parts gone. Left at 1am, got sidetracked by the mountains in Pennsylvania, got there at 11am or so, and headed back. 20 hours of nonstop driving.

This summer I drove across the country in the 3 , eventually ending up in California. The cost of driving was a bit cheaper than flying. Do the drive. I did ~500-600 miles per day and got to the other end of the country in 5 days. It's cheaper than renting a POS that you will hate, and you will have the luxury of your own car. PS, if you have time, drive down into NorCal, the mountain roads are worth it.

Have you driven an E60 (previous gen 5er)? The chassis is phenominal, very Germanic (obviously). Composed, firm ride that will do well when the road gets twisty.

E60 535i. Throw a tune on it and call it a day.

Finally, someone who makes sense. Very few cars actually need coilovers or any sort of additional stiffness when they're running junk tires. The only reason to make the car stiffer is when the tire grip overpowers the chassis' ability, causing excess roll. Provided your car isn't as soft as a sponge in the corners, tires are the best mod. Grip > All.

Mine are going on today. This will be the last 60* day of the year and I don't want to mess with it once it gets too cold.

Love the wide/functional tire look, it's aggressive.
