  5. Not sure if this is what you need but I've seen some luck with GMapToGPX http://www.elsewhere.org/journal/gmaptogpx/ It creates a GPX file from your google map and SOME garmins can read that gpx file. http://forums.gpsreview.net/viewtopic.php?t=7535 2nd option.. Garmin has a free download on their website to a transfer/update program. If you attach your garmin to your pc and run that program then go to google maps and plot your route and do a SEND (top right corner) you will see the option for Email, Phone, Car, GPS. I might be wrong about needing that free garmin program, I don't have everything in front of me at the moment.

  11. Welcome KawiGurl. Sounds like you're trying to get some experience the correct way. Take it slow, don't let yourself get pushed beyond your limits. Clock a hundred miles, then 200 , then 500 over time. Build up your experience and get a good feel for what the machine and you can and can't do. When I first started to ride I put 100 miles on my bike all within a 2 mile radius of my house. Low speeds, lots of shifting, lots of braking and turning. All that becomes second nature with experience. Taking the Basic Rider Course is a great move. Remember, stupid happens fast on a motorcycle.
  12. Hey, welcome to the site. Have you ever tried the Moonlight Cafe on the east side on downtown Trenton? Passed by it last year and was going to give it a try but "...so many places to eat, so little time...". When I got to the west side of town there was some terrible sewage smell. Not sure what it was but I just wanted to put some miles between me and it.
  13. Welcome to the board. I like 50 year old girls
  14. Just to be complete.... Got the Red 36-LED bulbs in the mail and tried them. They are brighter than the white 36-LED bulbs (viewed through the red lens) but still not as bright as a standard 1157 bulb. Once again it only goes to show that if your bike was built with reflectors for standard bulbs then that's what you should use. Another shot of the bulbs. Red on left, standard on right, brakes are on. The red lens is off for this picture I also picked up a couple 1156-style white 36-LED bulbs. I tried one of those. In the picture below both turn signals (amber lens) are on in hazard mode. The one on the left has the standard bulb and the one on the right (that looks off) has the white 36-LED bulb. Once again, the reflector does a great job. Bottom line: I'm sticking with my standard bulbs for now.
  15. Thanks for the report. I'm through there a lot during the riding months, but usually on us-22, not us-68. I think I might have to make a special trip for some BBQ one of these days.
  16. Hey, welcome from the top of the 275 loop.
  17. Welcome to the site. I hope you find a job quickly, but if you don't at least you'll have more time to ride.
