Not sure about the track day but thats possible the way it was equipped now that you mention it. After talking to Ohio DMV this morning the title actually would have been fine. Since Maryland does not require a notary then Ohio would not either.....that's what the nice lady told me anyway. I am digging the stock blinkers, tail light and fender. They are staying put.....at least for now.

Bought a pack of rubbers on the way home......still have 3 left....

Brought my new baby home today. May I present my new to me 2005 RC51. She is mostly stock with the exception of Sato slipons and a PCIII. The previous owner has already done the flapper mod as well as the soft rev eliminator so that saves me some time as I had planned to do both first thing. Here are a few pics. I always get the sellers name before I check out a bike. Once you have his name and where he lives it is not hard to google them and look at there Facebook and or Myspace pages. Take a look at all of there pictures. If they are a stunter 9 times out of 10 they will have pics of themselves stunting. I checked one guy out who was selling a "perfect" bike and his facebook had pics of him fixing up the same bike that he gut as a wreck.

One biggie no one has mentioned is paperwork. Make sure the title is in order and that the sellers name is on it. Make sure you get his signature notarized on the title as well...

So the saga continues. I spoke to the seller today and indeed the title is still in the previous owners name with no notary and the previous owner is in Dubai. So good by 04 RC51......and hello 05. Tomorrow I am off to Michigan (Flint) to grab this beauty.....Original owner with a clean title and supposed to be immaculate perfect condition....as new.

Correct, I meant buyers info......I'll be paying the tax to Ohio not to the seller as it is a private individual.

The more I think about this ..... As long as the title is notarized and the notarized signature is the same as the seller listed then it should not matter whom I actually bought it from...... Correct? And as long as the seller info is not filled in

The owner never tagged it so the title is still noterized from when he took posession of it. Hmmmmmmmm wonder if that will be an issue?

My thoughts as well. Blanket then tarp then LOTS of tape!!

Yea..... I'll take some blankets and a plastic tarp plus lots of tape. Hopefully it will just be dry out so I don't have the hassle

Looks like Ill have a long day in the truck this coming Monday. I am driving to Hagerstown Maryland to pick up my 04 RC. The guy with the bike can't meet me till 5pm so it will be long late drive home. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. I hate the idea of having a minty bike in the back of my truck getting plastered with road salt. Wish me luck.

If anyone needs some help I can answer sports photography questions as well. I shot professionally traveling with NASCAR for most of my career. On my days off I would shoot Steelers Football and Indians baseball for various wire services. I am here if I can help.

Often times the two abreast situation is in reality single file. Since the guy out front is doing most the work he gets tired fast so what will happen is he will move left after he has done his work and slow down and allow the pack to pass so he can get back on the tail end and rest while in the draft. This happens continuously so there is almost always someone slowing to the the left while the pack is keeping pace on the right....over and over again. It's called a paceline and can be done safely on a public road but you must trust the other riders and keep it real tight.
