  1. Still very easy. The throttle tube is nylon so it's tough - it may have taken a set, though.

Have you though about getting some aftermarket bodywork for it? It's just unfortunate that the radiators are on the sides.

What do you mean taken a set? I've looked at aftermaket fairings but is a bit more than I can afford right now.

  2. I've got a new stock clip on for my rc 51. How do you install them? I thought it would just bolt on but it appears I've got to remove the top triple tree is that right? Also does anyone have advice for swapping the controls over?

  3. My 870 short barrel extended tube 12g is right beside my bed loaded with the safety on. If there's a threat I grab the gun flip the safety off and go to work like I've trained. Right now I've got it loaded with a slug first round then 3in 000 buckshot until the last round which is another slug. I don't have any tacti-cool attachments to mine the only thing I may add is one of those butt stock ammo carriers.

  4. Check out this Crossbreed supertuck IWB.

Yeah it's a limitless pricier than your eBay link but know this is a quality rig.

I agree crossbreed is my favorite holster. I carry a full size H+K P2000 .40 everyday. On my days off I wear the crossbreed and don't notice its there. It's definitely worth every penny.

  5. Inde is sick, we raced there last year and I also took the chris peris/jake zemke school there. Lmk if you want help finding track days... 6143576292

Cool. Where are you at in AZ? I guess Jake Holden is going to be doing some clinics in Tucson at musclemman this year. I've got to get my bike going soon so I can try to hit these tracks up. Do you know any good tuners out this way?

  6. This track is 15-20min from my house and there is a company called xcel I believe that does track days there. The price is about $165. for 1day and around $300. for a weekend. I think I'm going to try to ride on it this year if I can get time off work. How do you think the track looks? The only track experience I have has been at gingerman and this one seems to be way ahead of that. Has anyone heard of this xcel company? I'm also about 16hrs. From laguna and I think eventually I'm going to try to go out there and ride.

  7. I can only tell you about gingerman and it has 2 strips of sealant running all the way around the track but if you follow the proper lines they are no issue. The facilities leave a little to be desired but your not there to hangout in the bathroom all day so it doesn't matter.

  8. ???? everything just makes my brain hurt! $8K! Alabama??!!....I have a 04 NH RC51 and have about everything this guys got! I'll sell it for $5K!...LOL>>! :) It will have newly powdercoated blood red rims this year! havnt put them on yet..

Are you powder coating the original time or a second set? I may be in the market for a front rim in good shape.

  9. In December I bought a beat to shit rc51 that was a theft recovery. I'm going to build it into a streetfighter with a kind of rat rod look. It didn't run when I bought it. I've been messing with it here and there I put in a new battery, replaced the right rearsets the front brake master cylinder, brake + clutch reservoirs, fuel pump, spark plugs and a bunch of other crap. Well after replacing the fuel pump it starts. I just flushed the clutch and brake fluids today. Next I'm going to flush the coolant and replace the oil. I finally figured out how to mount the gauge cluster. Ive got to figure out a solution for the headlights. I was going to try using the stock lights but I can't figure any way to mount them with out the front fairing. I'm going to replace the chain and sprockets because the stock chain is rusted like crazy. I'm going to change it to a 15/42 gearing. I need to install a new throttle side clip on the current one is slightly bent and the throttle sticks a little. I've got some tires to mount and after all that it should be road ready. After that I'm going to chop the tail and exhaust. After that I'm going to paint it flat black with some red pin striping well here's a few pics more to come.

  10. It's proof that those no guns allowed signs don't work. This happened at 1 of a handful of places where guns are not allowed in the state of AZ. Anywhere else in this state and the crazy bastard wouldn't have had the chance to chamber a second round!

  11. From the article, " The gunman, identified as 40-year-old Arthur J. Tineo, was standing outside of the school campus on Airport Road in a vacant lot and shot at the vehicle, putting a single hole in the back windshield, then several shattered marks in a side window.

Both boys jumped out of the vehicle, with the driver, a junior, turning toward the gunman and yelling, "What the hell?" said an eyewitness, who is an employee at the school, adding the gunman then raised the rifle toward them.

The other student, a freshman, yelled at the driver that the man had a gun, so the freshman ran the other direction toward the gym.

The school employee, driving a van, told the junior to jump in his van, and he began backing away as he called 9-1-1, he told the Range News.

"As I backed away, the man raised the gun and shot again, but it hit a tree" near the baseball field, he said."

To give you an idea of how safe people feel around guns out here, after being shot at the high schoolers turn towards the gunman and yell at him.
