Watching Armslist, I see them starting to drop now. AKs are now going for $800 and I've seen mini 14s for $600-$800 again. ARs still listed around $1200, but they seem to be lingering. Pmags are $30 on the low end, but, again, are they selling?
I spent a long night at the original HB Haus in Munich.... Got messed up with the Swiss Snuff Championship Team. Not snuff like MT's films, but that crap you put up your nose.
Buy 8. I see them posted for $40-$50, but posted doesn't mean "sold". If you can buy for $15 or less, you could sell them same day for $25 easily. Maybe $30+ to the right person with the least self control.
Found one today! It cost me a 6 year old chief special 9mm that I just picked up and a NIB 642. It's a Browning Citori Special Sporting Clays with 30 inch ported barrels. It's been we'll-loved, but in great shape.
I've spent a fair amount of time on the trap field and have been doing a bit more pheasant hunting lately (a business associate and I have been going.... It's the new golf). My old Wingmaster gets the job done, but I'm a little handicapped when we hit the sporting clays course as well as my fixed full choke being a little tight for close birds. My aim was a middle of the road Citori... Ideally 28-30". The satin hunters are in my range at a little less than $1500 new, but maybe there is someone bored with a higher end gun. With trades, value is what it is worth to me vs what yours is worth to you. I'd feel like a dick selling a $900 AR for $1500, but maybe it's worth gun for gun to someone. I'm actually in conversation right now with someone who has a Citori trap with 30" barrels. Crossing my fingers.
I'm looking for a very specific trade.... My pristine AR for your safe queen 12 gauge Browning Citori O/U. I'm looking for the person who bought one and doesn't do as much hunting/trap shooting as you thought you would. Edit: No longer available.
Picked up a couple of new-to-me(s) this week. Beretta 84f (lbts) and a smith chief special 9mm. The beretta is one that I've been wanting. This particular one is VERY used. The CS9 was my first carry gun and I've always regretted selling it. The price was right on both, so I snagged them. We'll see if the 84 makes the cut at the range.
They generally run a few % higher, but not as bad as a few years ago. I've never researched the P-07 (very much an impulse buy), but I don't think it was $200 anything. 75b and 83 were running mid $400s prior to "the panic" and I would suspect that the P-07 was a little less.
