  1. As an addition to this story the very next night at about 2:30 am I got pulled over by the state patrol for no tail light. When he let me go he told me to watch very close for deer because he hadn't seen them running as thick as he had the last couple days.
  2. I have never ran into this in all the years I have been riding and I've been wondering about this issue. Would it hurt anything to run a front tire off a big bike like a 120/70-17 on the rear of a smaller bike in a like size? I don't see what it would hurt but some tires are marked front and rear, I have see several 120/70-17 front tires for sale at a good price that would fit my kids rear in a 130/70-17. If it was a high performance bike being pushed to its limit then I'd shoot for the 1/4 inch bigger tire but its an entry level bike and I don't see what difference it would make to run the 120 series front in place of the 130 series rear. Whats your input on this issue?
  3. Cheater, Cheater Pumpkin Eater, I call foul! I was going to grab the chip truck this morning but I didn't want to grab my own challange again, I did that with the race track so I let it go. Sorry guys I didn't think the chip truck would be a hard one.
  4. My J&J story, I went in there to buy a used Bandit, not the curent one. The salesman wanted to know if he could help me and I asked where the used Bandits were that were in the ad. He acted discusted to have to walk over to the garage so I could see them, what a way to treat the first customer of the day, I looked over four of them and and pick one. I then asked to take a test ride and he snobbily asked if I "really intended to buy and if I even had a license", I looked at the young punk and told him I was licensed when he was still in grade school and showed him 5K in cash. After him showing me his deal and my counter offer I decided to finance 1500 and keep some cash in my pocket. Deal went thru no problem with good credit and I had them toss in a helmet. Besides the smart ass attitude, then came the worst part, it took me 6 1/2 weeks to get the title and I had to go get it or wait another week for the mail. They have to give you a title or copy to get plates when the 30 day tag runs out, there sits my bike and I can't ride. I went to the licence office to see how to get plates since I wasn't given a title yet and the woman asked "Is the dealer J&J" and I said yes and she handed me a paper to fill out and send to the attorney general's office. She said that I was about the tenth person that month with a problem with J&J. Screw them, I'll never spend anymore money with them. A friend of mine went against my advise and bought a Honda from them about a month later and had to wait for his title also.
  5. My cousin went down there within the last couple weeks, I believe for a pistol shoot. He told me just last night that he really like to shoot down there and its worth the drive time to him, about 90 minutes.
  6. A friend of mine has a 4x4 Sportsman that runs great, he uses it in the woods and what not to run his traplines. Another friend has a trailblazer that gets general trail use, probably no harder than the other friends but it has had to have the frame replaced twice, he said the frames are built by the same people that build walmarts lawn chairs, fold up the same and everything. He also said that the dealer that replaced the last frame had eight or ten crumpled up frames behind the shop. Both of those were around 2000 model year, so things may have improved since then.
  7. Yesterday evening me and the youngest boy went for a little hour long ride just before sunset. It was a trip of about 35 minutes of back roads and about 25 two lane highway and we must've seen between 15-18 deer, three came up to the road and stopped or turned around, one played chicken and the others stayed between 50 and 100 yards back. I couldn't believe how many we seen with it still being fairly warm out, heads up out there. I was on that road a week ago and seen nothing. On another note, the boy is really liking his new ride, we picked him up a 2007 GS 500F about weeks ago. The main thing is I can retire the KZ to the corner and ride my Bandit when I want without having to have his permission, lol. Here is his new ride, I put new rear brake pads on it and it will need a rear tire sometime in the near future, over all it's in nice shape and only has like 6K miles.
  8. Here is your Beer Truck. Next show us a Potato Chip/Doritos Truck.
  9. I've painted a few of helmets and they turned out great, just take your time and prep it well. I don't know much about todays paints but I'll show a little age here, I used Dupont Lucite on one and Centari on a couple more.
  10. I'm pretty sure this is the guy that a friend of mine had do some barrel keys, give him a call and ask. Wright Dean & Sons Locksmiths Tel: 330-364-1428 1218 4th Street NW New Philadelphia OH 44663
  11. Our new mail lady has hit our box at least twice, I seen her do it the one time and she has yet to say a word about it. If she won't say anything about it then she probably wouldn't admit to it if confronted. I will just let it be because I don't need her throwing my mail away, hell we are getting the neighbors mail more and more often here lately so they must have pissed her off. WOW, that last statement rung a bell, lol, she ran over the neighbor's box and broke it off at the ground. They must have complained because its their mail I've been getting.
  12. We are about done with Verizon also but around here ATT only has coverage of aprox. five square miles in our area. While on SR36 from I-77 to Coshocton there is only like 10 miles of here and there service, it sucks.
  13. Congratulations and God bless.
  14. Not the Mama!, haha my kids would kill me. Thanks for the memories.
  15. Here's your garbage truck. For the next challenge show us your bike in front of a rent a center type place where you pay $27,000 for an end table, couch and TV.
  16. I had to think about it for a minute or two, let's go for a museum, doesn't matter what kind as long as it is a real life museum.
  17. OK, finally here is your hearse, compliments of my ol' friend Digger.
  18. After 7 years I'd throw the seat on it and make the wife shove me down the street a couple times.
  19. Well, knock 5K off the price then.
  20. I've been looking but not too hard if you know what I mean, lol. One of the local undertakers used to put one of his refrigerator magnets on the tank of my GSXR when I seen him at the gas station. He has since started renting a hearse when needed because it saves him a lot of money in a years time. I have been trying to keep from pulling up to the wagon and saying to the family, "scuse me, mind if I get ol' George in the pic here, won't be but a sec or two".
  21. Plus points for the Mad Max looking dog in the bed, fits the theme well.
  22. Reminds me of the movie quote of the zombie on the radio, "send more medics, send more cops". Damn zombie movies.
  23. Don't forget to get this shirt for when they are around boys, lol. http://www.zazzle.com/dadd_tee_shirts-235398006492190354
  24. Sorry for your loss, Prayers sent.
  25. If you don't want to fix it yourself and the motor ran and the tranny shifted with no problems, put an ad on CL and sell it. Some guys will buy them for the tranny because 2nd gear was a problem spot for those bikes. I had an '84 V65 Sabre and the thing was a beast and the 6th gear over drive was a thrill on the highway.
