  1. Alrighty, just got back from the shop installing WORKS rear shocks, Evotech tail tidy, Rizoma front signal adapters and mini stalk incandescent front and rear turns. As far as the tail tidy goes I did not want to use the US plate adapter pieces so I trimmed down my plate to the bare minimum. I am very pleased with the results but there is some fine-tuning left. The Devil is in the details. Now just waiting for the carbon front fender and side panels. The first two are the before and after of just the rear shocks from the exact same vantage point. These will help with ride quality, lean angle and also quicken up the steering as they were custom built and also 1.25" longer than the stockers. The rest of the pics just show the other goodies.
  2. If this works, this is going to be a global economic and political game changer!! Have a read... http://www.gizmag.com/breakthrough-promises-150-per-gallon-synthetic-gasoline-with-no-carbon-emissions/17687/
  3. Price drop-$80. Getting ready to order custom shocks and would like the addition of the funds from this sale.
  4. Worth watching. This is the response to a school boy being told ..... well just watch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Po7k5O9LtBo&feature=player_embedded
  5. That was a a pretty well done documentary. Ahhh, the good 'ol days.
  6. I just figured out what this "rep" is. Sorry, I'm a little slow on the uptake sometimes:o.
  7. I actually chuckled when I read this.

  9. Yeah, what the hell does Harley think they are doing building a bike that is....gulp....watercooled and does not a Evo engine???????
  10. Dude, to me the internet is just one huge entertaining chat room with some educational chit thrown in for good measure:D. I've been in battle and served on a submarine.....everything is cake after that.
  11. No offense taken....I am a thick skinned bastard. Those who take the intranet too seriously need to step back and take a breath. They did expand the Vance & Hines Series race schedule by about 5 races for '11 and the European Series races are always popular. But, it seems Kawi. has a trick up their sleeve for giving the XR750's a run for their money on the dirt tracks!!!
  12. Now, you and I BOTH know those 2 bikes have 2 completely different engines;). The only Buell tech the XR uses is the oil cooled heads and cams, both from air cooled engines. Your 1125 is a Rotax watercooled engine. As a matter of fact, I almost pulled the trigger on a new leftover CR from a dealer in Michigan but was uncomfortable with any warranty or parts issues with local dealers, especially since it would not have been purchased from them.
  13. It doesn't fit in with the rest of the line. Sales of the XR are really slow. There are dealerships with leftover '09's they can't sell, hence me getting a screaming deal on this one. I found it at a dealer in Montana since Harley of Cincy would hardly come down on the orange one they had left. Of course, stuffing them back in a dark corner of the dealership and never showing them to a customer doesn't help either. Most dealers won't even try to sell them and since the '09 & '10's sold so slowly they won't even stock the '11's. They almost treat them like the dealers used to treat Buell's....maybe because they have Buell parts on them:rolleyes:. The typical Harley rider has no interest in them and most sportbike riders dismiss them. All the better, I like the idea of not passing another on the road. Now, if I lived in the L.A. area there are quite a few owners there. Over on the dedicated XR1200 website a lot of folks are from either the L.A. area or Europe.
  14. I ride a Harley as well.....an XR1200....even more of a bastard child. Heck, even Harley riders don't like the bike;).

    insurance

I have had good luck with Geico. I am a bit older (41) with a clean record and I pay $150/year with top full coverage and the lowest deductables. Bike is a '10 H-D XR1200.
  16. Haters be hatin'...... But seriously, thanks. I have only seen one other XR here in Cincy. Winter is killing me. Bike has 6 miles on it and I already have mods done and can't even ride it......I hate Ohio winters:cry:.
  17. Installed the color matched pillion cover....
  18. Wow, I have never seen a video of her but she seems rather vacant.
  19. That's one of the manufacturing area's at work. We make carbon fiber parts for the aerospace industry (Maverick Corp.). I had it delivered at work knowing it can stay there till spring. It was nice to install the parts in a nice, warm climate controlled environment.
  20. After some searching I found a screamin' deal on a leftover '10 XR1200 at a dealer in Montana in my favorite color, Mirage Orange. Since I removed the rear pegs (wife has her own bike) I ordered up the color matched cowl cover and a pair of Vance & Hines rear shock risers to quicken the steering and gain lean angle. Also installed a Kuryakyn Low Profile LED taillight. Man, that sucker is bright! Fresh off the truck 6 miles new... After Supertrapp slip-on, Patriot Top Fueler and Vance & Hines/DNA Air Filter install....lost 14lbs. with the can swap.
