Yup, the color I would not get. "If you're coming from an 883 it could be a Vespa and you'd probably be thrilled with it." Ha, ha...very funny;). The H-D is not my first bike. Now granted, I have never owned a liter bike before but I have had sport bikes in the past. I like the more laid back seating position the Zed affords the rider. All-out/kill-all power is the least of my concerns. Long-term comfort is.

Planning on using my yearly profit sharing to add a 2010 Kawi Z1K to the stable. I have been in lust with the bike since I first saw it. It I would appreciate some real world feedback from folks here. All the reports and tests have very positive results. What say ye?

The bag is made in Cali. by La Rosa Design....here is the link for their selection of solo bags: https://www.larosadesign.us/index.php?cPath=8_299 It's taken some fiddling to get the bike real comfy....reworked suspension, nice seat and raised the controls a bit. Since I brought it home more than 2k miles have rolled under the tires and I enjoy the ride more every day. I have also thrown as many black parts on it I could find to further enhance the dark theme it was born with. Over the winter a 1210cc kit will be thrown at it. Here are a couple "out of the crate" pics for reference:

I know H-D's are not well received here but for those who care:)....after installing a Mustang Vintage Solo Seat (oh so comfy!!) and finding it moved me up and back a bit I slapped on a pair of 6.5" pullback risers in place of the 5.5" I had originally. No pressure on the 'ol mitts and has put me in a very nice seating position for hours of riding pleasure:riding:. I got a 8" wire extension kit just in case but did not need it. I just moved the switch wires up above the front tank mount bolts and had plenty of slack. This will be as high as I can go without replacing the brake hose. Here are a few pics of the new seat, risers and the LaRosa Solo bag. Excuse the crackberry pics. The dark tint National Cycle Flyscreen should be here end of this week. I will be spraying the chrome brace on that wrinkle black.

Installed a few new items in the last few weeks and thought I would update with some new photos. I have installed Progressive rear shocks/fork spring kit, 5.5" pullback risers w/drag bars, Tribal grips/pegs, running light brows, JD timing cover, 2009 black inspection plate & derby cover, black diamond fuel cap, yada, yada, yada...ordered up a Mustang Vintage Solo 12.5" seat that will be here next week. Anywho....on to the pics.....

Installed Progressive 412's on the rear and Progressive spring kit in the front with 10 wt. oil. Wow, what a huge difference!!!

Installed an Oberon Streetfighter mirror and front turn signal relocation kit today to further clean up the bars.

Sweet-a** ride. Run the wheels off that mother and enjoy!

Ah, the little ferrels that can go flying when removing the cables. I read about those in the FSM. Luckily, I did not have to mess with those.

In what way? The entire control assy. just slid off the old bar as one unit. Do disassembly required.

Finished this up this morning. Installed new 4.5" risers, new top clamp, Dyna speedo mount and drag bars. I mounted the speedo in the eyelid bolts location using 1/2" OD tubing and 4" socket bolts. I was going to go lower with the mounting but any lower and the top clamp blocked the dummy lights. Here are the results...

That was freakin' funny as heck. I had my wife watch it and thought it was hi-larious.

The Vance & Hines ShortShot pipes (with the optional quite baffles) sound amazing and with the Joker Machine A/C my knee doesn't hit the darn ham can anymore. Lots of research and I am really happy with the outcome both visually and performance wise.

My daily... Wife's daily... Toys...

I pretty much pack everyday. I usually gather all the goods for the week and stop by the office on Sunday to drop everything off so I don't have to carry it on me when I am riding to work.

They are the stock mirrors, just swapped side-to-side and under. I can actually see now. Barely need to look down at 'em. All I could see were my shoulders with them above the bars.....common complaint with the bike. The Nightster comes from the factory with the mirrors under the bars.

I actually like the chrome pipes with there being very little elsewhere on the bike. I have removed the baffle plate out of each muffler so it actually sounds like a Harley now....without being obnoxious.
