Title Consumer Affairs Representative - Motorcycle DescriptionProvide technical service and professional advice to consumers, motorcycle department personnel, dealers, and distributors regarding all motorcycle tire products and related technical programs. Respond verbally or in writing to consumer complaints, requests for technical service application, or general product information. Record accurate information in call tracking system and complete regular reporting of activities. Acts as intermediary between motorcycle dealers, distributors, and consumers regarding warranty policy and performance complaints. Processes warranty shipments and record transactions on warranty tires. Assist in obtaining information for product claim inquiries and refer to appropriate personnel to assist to resolve claims. Requirements Associates Degree or specific customer service experience related to the motorcycle, auto, or tire industry is equivalent required Bachelors degree, preferred. 3-5 years of work experience interacting directly with customers, required. Motorcycle / powersports industry experience desired. Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, analytical, negotiation and influence skills. Must be comfortable working in a stressful environment with aggressive goals and deadlines. Must be willing to make decisions and be able to communicate and defend them. Demonstrated expertise using Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word. Ability to work unsupervised. Motorcycle enthusiast experience preferred Tasks Respond verbally or in writing to consumer complaints, requests for technical service application, or general product information. Process warranty shipments and record warranty transactions. Obtain information for product claim inquiries and refer to appropriate personnel to assist to resolve claims. Responsible for development, obtaining approval, distribution and maintainence of procedures for handling common and non-routine complaints. Also maintain FAQ section of web site. Record accurate information in call tracking system and complete regular reporting of activities. Maintain technical library and establish liason with Technical, Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain to ensure information exchange and stay updated on product knowledge, warranty adjustment and sales policies.
