  1. Hey, and then I may be able to get the kids to clear OUR drive. "NO I'm NOT PAYING YOU TO CLEAR OUR DRIVEWAY!!!" Joking. Good kids.
  2. Prices are all over the place. You could've made some money ($800 or so). Really is a great bike.
  3. Point Blank east in Cinti had tons of 9mm when I was in there last week. Out on the shelves (i.e. not just for range users). Good reloads for $13.99/ 50 count and Federal white box $16.99 (or $17.99. I forget) for 50 count. BTW, what was pricing for 9mm prior to the madness/ shortage?
  4. Man, I LIKE this bike, but the practical side of me says to pick up an '05 (or so) SV650 for $2500 instead. Put the GSXR front end on it, and thrash away. Half the price, all the fun. I've started to look for another SV650. It was more fun than the SV1k version is...
  5. Whoaaaa. They look pretty good. I saw a Brit car show a week or so ago, and they had a new Vette in the UK. Guy who was "testing" it just couldn't get off of the poor build quality. Tore. It. Apart. But they look good at a glance. A quick glance.
  6. Attackpainter Haven't seen him here in awhile... Use the Search function up top on the right. Choose the "members" button (default button reads "this topic". Click it, choose Members).
  7. So it Portsmouth's police chief anti-2A? http://mediatrackers.org/ohio/2014/02/10/ohio-national-guard-training-envisions-right-wing-terrorism
  8. Whoa! Wait, I was hoping to be Tim. Can Magz be like Mike or something?
  9. Oh. I thought that was totally the point of it.
  10. I second all of this. Saw them on Monsters of Rock, and two or three times on the AJFL tour. Have never listened to their release with the symphony, although everyone tells me its great. Black album was the last one for me. Still a metal head (though I listen to a bunch of stuff). FFDP rocks, though I think they've already run out of riffs. The new Anthrax is good stuff (loved them with John Bush as well). Pantera will always rule. Older bluesy stuff from Tora Tora and Badlands. Good to see that Jake E Lee is still alive. "Found" a Great White song a few weeks ago, via Pandora, called Back to the Rhythm which I'm digging (esp the Youtube version with Jani Lane, RIP). All That Remains. Bullet for my valentine. Disturbed. Drowning Pool. Shadows Fall. Killswitch Engage. I'm now the old, weird, gray-haired guy that shows up at the shows...but I still love metal. I worried that I'd start listening to my dads stuff (Abba, Don Williams...), but it hasn't happened yet. Still good metal being made.
  11. 2007 Yam Wolverine 450 (which isn't really a 450...) with a winch-operated 48" plow. 4x4. Works like a charm. Kids make money plowing the neighbors' driveways (made $110 on Wednesday...). Picked it up used in 2010 for $3k, and it had had a hard life. We've been hard on it as well, and its been a great machine. The weight of the plow negates the need for a locking front diff for us. It did okay in this weeks snow down here, but if I lived in CMH or north, I'd have something bigger. I want a Grizzly so I can lift it and stuff. I wish I had Hoblicks disposable income...
  12. Fairborn should be fine. Just don't go west of, say, 675/ Dave Dennis Chrysler (Riverside). Eat at Giovanni's in downtown Fairborn.
  13. I'm completely disappointed in this board. The first response, without doubt or hesitation, should have been "hookers and blow". You're all slipping. Eat. If I lived in TX, I'd be more overweight than I already am. Is this a vacation thing, or a business-related thing? Temporary, or moving there?
  14. Time to ban skiing. Tried it once, terrified me. Wife had a blast. She'd come barreling past me. Laughing. Then she ended up in a pile at the bottom of the hill. Not hurt, but hasn't been back. Hope he recovers. Ironic, isn't it? One of the fastest men in the world.
  15. I tried the DIY kit a few years ago, but I was trying to integrate a pair of earbuds into them. I concentrated more on the sound quality, and it wasn't good. I junked them. I can't attest as to durability or noise reduction.
  16. This. I need some edumacation, because I don't understand comments like this. If I'm threatened and have to shoot someone, why does it reflect poorly on my defense if I'm carrying "an overly aggressive" round? And how does one determine "overly aggressive"? I target round may go through the person, and a defense round will hopefully expand within them (as intended). Which is "too aggressive"? And if someone is coming at me, why does it matter. No matter what round I'm using, my intent/ hope is to stop him before he gets to me. I'm not arguing either, but I am curious/ confused. Thx
  17. Congratulations. Enjoy it, it goes by reallllly fast.
  18. I can't argue with you, and have researched buying my own tank. We bought this house when it was two years old, and the builder must have made a deal with the propane company. The price to buy and replace their tank is roughly equal to the amount of $$$ we'd save over the time we plan on staying here (I'd sell this house tomorrow if I could). The whole "we own the tank, you have to buy from us" is bullcrap, PLUS I have to pay $50/ year to "rent" the tank. I don't like it, but it is what it is. I've shopped around here and there over the past few years as far as switching suppliers/ getting my own tank, and even in the middle of summer, I've never seen less than $2.39/ gallon. You're a lucky man.
  19. Like a helmet, when it breaks in to your body, it'll be awesome. Lose some weight/ stop doing curls when you work out. I agree w/ watching the seams. Adding a strip may be worth the money. No returns on this stuff, right?
  20. We're on a heat pump with propane back-up, which can be a PITA, but at least I can "see" how much fuel we're using (and its nauseating). Called my propane guy earlier this morning to ask about pricing. Typically about $2.49/ gallon +/-. Its now $4.39. The house is now cooler than typical... There are going to be a LOT of people with sticker shock when they get their natural gas bill next month. They have no idea how much they're using daily, nor what the cost will be. On the bright side, he said that this weather is supposed to break next week, and that Feb is supposed to be warmer than typical, so hang in there. Yeah, a wood stove would be nice.
