  2. Do you care what your tax rate is? SW school has RIDICULOUSLY hight taxes. we live in columbus but have hilliard schools.. but the school system is huge, and still growing..
  3. I found this one.. http://www.gizmag.com/earthtronics-honeywell-windgate-wind-turbine/11990/ now this article is almost 2 years old, but im going to read more on it. http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3800670 6500 http://ace.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pACE3-6696073reg.jpg This is what one i am considering.. 6500 doesnt seem like that big of an investment to me..
  4. I only want to power my furnace and my fridge, during outages, I can survive without the rest, but if can get the added bonus of some year round savings even if its not alot.. I wont be upset.
  5. Wouldnt it pay for itself if it ran my house when i had power outtages? We lose power for days at at least 2x a year I have heard (again, i havent researched anything yet) that solar panels were ridiculously expensive.
  6. I am in the city of columbus, so i dont know, and no, to the HOA. (old neighborhood, 70's)
  7. I know there was someone here who was doing research on them.. So my neighbor and i were talking the other day about putting windmills on our houses. They cost around 6K which is about the same as a whole house generator. ( if feel like windmill isnt the right word all of a sudden) The reason we were talking about this is because our neighborhood has TERRIBLE issues with electricity outages. like.. Alot. Someone wrecks a car 10 miles away and we are out of electricy. Someone sneezed? no power. Winter storm? No power. Wind storm? No power. I think you catch my drift. Its really annoying and its really hard on your electronics. I honestly can say we lose power at least once eveyr other month. On that note, ANYtime there is any kind of outage, it only affects the INNER circle of my neighborhood, so the people across the street will have power, and we wont. So, anyways..we were talking about putting them on our houses, so we could reap the benfits of them all year round, as oppposed to the partial useage of a generator. our houses are all electric, no gas. ~1400SqFt. Would a residential windmill be helpful to us? Would it really make a difference in our bill?
  8. I carry a 17" laptop that weighs 12lbs,just about everywhere i go, + 25lbs of camera equipment. I would HAPPILY drop the laptop for a 10" porta-screen that i can shove an SD card into.
  9. Looks like these guys used to be part of Andretti racing? This could be really good things, I assume they wont mess with Season ticket holders this year.
  10. Tyank you, i have been wanting to see a Side by side, but too lazy to look for one. The Xoom is looking more and more impressive

  12. 12 Brussel Sprouts, 12 Broccoli, 8 Cauliflower- All in the indoor greenhouse, under lamps. 8 weeks till planting! I also bought all my herb seeds, and ordered my blueberry bushes from Indiana Berry Farm. Thats a lot of numbers!
  13. Both of these are biggest issues that we have come acrross in our 6 subies we have owned. Rust over fender wells is something you just cant get away with in a 90's subaru. Wheel bearings.. ya, not much to say other than, if you get a subaru, you will likely replace them (the bearings) If i havent approved you, i will shortly.
  14. I quite enjoyed the storms, and thankfully the rain didnt fill up my yard (for some blessed reason, i have no clue, as it was flooded with the last bout of rain we had)

  25. Wow, way to be a dick. I am being taught how to fire and about gun safety tomorrow. (I know common sense things, but im sure there are things i don't know about) Point is, why to encourage someone to learn how to do something properly. I have never been around guns. Excuse me for being so fucking uneducated that i called them BULLETS instead of ammunition. Since you are delving out some fucking stereo types, why not give me your bank account info, so i can go buy myself something nice, that you cant afford, to feel better about myself, while im in the kitchen, barefoot, making a god damned sandwich for you.
