I have posted this on COS, im sure we will get some members out there thursday as well. I know i will be there.
This area is going to be made into a high rise garden, if the cooper stadium isnt put in. I somehow dont think THAT will create jobs.
Also, this isnt being paid for (afaik) by the city, this is a private company, and the colleges want to be a part of the park as well, for the technology centers.
Its not the people down i the bottoms that care, its the People at Greenlawn Cemetary, and GERMAN VILLIAGE that are bitching.
The "poor people" want the Cooper Park built. If you drive around in that area, you will see the cooper park support signs in a majoriity of the yards.
THey have 70 going thru thier backyard, with no sound barriers, do you really think that a race park is going to bother them, espeically one with this state of the art sound walls that are being produced for this place??
