  1. I have a friend with a Honda Accord(2000) and her battery was replaced, and she doesnt have the Code for her stereo. She bought the car used and cannot find the sticker that has the reset code. She tried calling the dealership and they told her they need the model number, but its on the BACK of the stereo. Well after a bit of research we tried the holding 1 & 6+ Powerbutton and it didnt giver her the model number and then error-ed out. Im not sure what else i can tell her to try. She lives in youngstown, so theres not much chance of me ripping her stereo out, let alone her taking it to a shop to have them do it. Any input on other ways to get this damn code?
  2. nathan and i always courtesty wave.. I have found though with my wagon now being tinted.. its a moot point.. If its warm, ill lower my window and wave.. but in this weather.. nope
  3. Its effective AFTER about 12 weeks.. at 7 weeks puppies havent really figured out what "thier space" is. A big warm stuffed animal will do the trick. HEating blanket + puppy pee= electrocution, this doesnt sound brilliant to me.. Throw a towel in the dryer for a bit before bedtime and then give to them, OR get a traditional medical water bottle that can be heated.
  4. EAT BREAKFAST!!! I know it sounds silly, but studies have shown that people who eat breakfast have a much easier time of losing weight. Im trying to get into shape.. NOT lose weight. I think there is a huge difference. What are your goals for being in Shape? What are your priority? We joined Urban Active, and havent had any issues with the equipment. Yes the PT sale was annoying but it was ONE day that we recieved it and dude kicked our ass that day, and gained a lot f information from our talk with him. However, talking to your PCP is probably the best place to start as far as a diet and suggested excersize regemine.
  5. the AX was in MD, as thats where the photog lives, I dont see any other SCCA required markings on teh car, so i doubt its SCCA
  6. ??? What are you talking about??? I promise you My store NEVER donated that much product.
  7. Y not make a spot for the dog in that room? Comfy bed or something. there is a reason he wants in there so why not try a positive thing for him in there. Is there windows in tgat room he can see out on that couch? What makes that couch room so important to him?
  8. I know my husband when i first met him was always doing stuff to his cars.. each car that he has attained since.. he has become less and less enthusiastic about the idea, and not wanting to deal with the hassles.... and for the first time in his life, he has a mechanic do all his work.. except oil changes.. not because he cant do it.. but becuase he just is done doing it all.. I think knowing that he can do all the stuff he has done, (timing belt, clutch replacement, tranmission repairs, suspension) has made him tired of working on them.. I also think the monetary values of doing it all has reared its ugly head.. no matter how much you spend, you'll never be as fast as you want to be... I know he will continue to do tires and suspension and brakes.. but i think thats about it.. He has an itch for the two wheeled world.. but not motorcycles... we'll see how that pans out as for this.. since the start of COS, we have met a few douches.. but i have to say most of the people that we have met doing the whole car club scene, are people i would have NEVER met anywhere else, and have met some really great people, that make me happy to have such a diverse club, im sure thats the same for here as well, though i dont know many people on here personally. Hell if it werent for Anthony, I would have never met my husband, and I'm sure Anthony doesn't totally realize the impact he had on Nathans life, which is why i will continue the online life in the automotive community..wether i grow tired of cars or not.
  9. if thats all you want it for, why not get a netbook or something...
  10. apparently NO one does!
  11. You can get some decent Legacy GTs (2005) close to that but i think you would still be in the 12-14 range. WRX I think you could easily get in that range. and as for owning 4 cars.. we had four cars and it was actually kinda relief. we had all our car bases covered. We had a hauler, we had our race car, our nice car and my DD... its kinda sad to be down to 3 cars..
  12. im sorry.. but all these t shirts look like they are being worn by men who are wearing thier girlfriends tshirts. http://www.motorbrandsusa.com/v/vspfiles/photos/M10-HR-HIOCLDF-2T.jpg
  13. I havent read much else of the thread yet, but yes I agree with this, also. Its a beautiful drive as well, (at least in teh summer it is)
  14. Holland Tunnel is like 12 bucks both ways I think. Im sure you can look the cost up. However, Dont fool yourself into thinking that driving ANYTIME thru NYC is a "slow"time. yes its a BIT calmer during the evening hours, but it really doesnt matter. I drive to NYC all the time to see one of my friends pretty frequently. She lives in queens, so i drive almost ALL the way thru. Just take your time and BE CALM... Ignore the asstards who honk at you for every little fucking thing, and they will. It easy to see why some people would go crazy on another individual. I had 50+ bucks on me, in cash (get small bills, 1's and 5's). The NJ TP and the PATP are kinda pricey. I think that was enough cash from Ohio to Queens, and back.
  15. Jarrod has the Xbox hard drive been modded or was it in a modded box i should say?
  16. So far this recipie from Smitten Kitchen has been my favorite as far as flavor. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2582/3879684274_f9e84ee1a5.jpg
  17. Thanks! we usually go pretty traditional.. flax, sunflower seeds, raisins or crasins.. we also dont put alot of honey or brown sugar in.. he doesnt like sweet stuff very much.
  18. Just for a warning, if you grew up in a house with fresh breads all the time, this bread doesnt give off the "bread being baked" smell (i know its not really a warning.. but i was waiting for the smell and it never came) Good luck, let me know how you like it. I'd like to point out that, i didnt grow up in a DIY house and most of my cooking up till this last year has been very unhealthy, lots of pre-made stuff (skillet sensations, pre seasoned and cooked chicken) I have done alot and still have a long way to go, to fully change our eating habits, but i feel that cutting out eh HFCS was a big first step. I used to buy applesauce evey week for his lunches, untill i started reading the labels.. and the organic/no sugar added brands just tasted awful. I think thats what really did it for me.. was just starting to read ALl the labels.. I want to be healthier... and oddly, its easier than i thought.. hell in some cases, its WAAAAY easier.. Granola bars are another whores of the HFCS industry.. We now make our own granola bars.. i haven mastered them yet and it usually just turns into ceral for the yogurt toppings.. (i dont buy premixed yougurts anymore iether.. we buy the big container of Stonyfield Organic and i mix fresh fruit and homemade granola for that too). I feel like a big hippy when i talk about this stuff, which i am ok with, but for the most part, its just becoming smarter with our diet.
  19. make your own bread.. its easy as fucking cake, seriously.. we started making it.. and it lst longer and you can add your own little variences to too. (we add garlic and rosemary to ours..) you can also substitute 50% whole grain flour to make it healthier. http://www.kingarthurflour.com/recipes/yeast-breads-and-rolls/sandwich-and-loaf-breads we make the Classic Sandwhich Loaf Prep time is probably 20 minutes total and a mixer with a hook is helpful. (i use our kitchenaid) Bread lasts us about a week before its devoured.
