  1. USB is not powering either. HDs spin- all 5 fans on, no post. One of the reasons I hate my current monitors, you can't just turn them on. They will power on if the pc is on, otherwise they sit in "power save mode"
  2. For all your bitchen about subies all year, this makes up for it in spades Let Nathan take you to HH sometime and see how fun they are.. More than 4 days a year.
  3. Supposed to snow tomorrow and Tuesday too
  4. That seems far away but in the grand scheme that's about his long it takes to plan a decent size wedding. Congrats on the engagement, both of you guys who popped the question.
  5. My brain is super foggy right now from whatever I've got and I can't fathom what's happened with my pc. I turned on the monitor last night to email someone and realized my mouse and keyboard weren't on. Everything was fine on screen. I checked my connections and they were fine. I did a hard reboot and nothing happened. I can hear everything spinning up, but my monitors don't kick back on and it's not posting or giving me error codes.. I don't have the energy to fix it right now, but could use some ideas on what to check when I do. No new hardware or anything in recent past (more than 6-8 months)
  6. or just an FTP server..(i use carbonate for business photos)
  7. yah if the case is crap, maybe try just hooking it up to your PC.
  8. So i went a little crazy this year and bought brand new ornament for my tree. My original ornaments were walmart/target crappy cheap ornaments i bought just out of high school, 14 years ago.. (wow that makes me feel old...) This year i decided to upgrade. Spent around 200$ on new ornaments and decorations for the tree. I know its a lot, but ill keep them probably for another 10 years, knowing me. 1) http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8220/8319816128_53cb7a5ddd_b.jpg 20121227-_PLH3906.jpg by Lucky Lola Studios, on Flickr 2) http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8356/8318758395_97f6991e47_b.jpg 20121227-_PLH3912.jpg by Lucky Lola Studios, on Flickr 3) http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8218/8318758695_e369229f42_b.jpg 20121227-_PLH3918.jpg by Lucky Lola Studios, on Flickr 4) http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8217/8318759295_26fbc6436a_b.jpg 20121227-_PLH3921.jpg by Lucky Lola Studios, on Flickr 5) http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8357/8318760211_9a6001f6b4_b.jpg 20121227-_PLH3925.jpg by Lucky Lola Studios, on Flickr

Actually they don't try to sell you stuff and depending on who the teacher is will depend on if your class is good. I highly recommend any of Brad Kovachs classes there. I took a class wih a friend of mine (macarons) and was underwhelmed by the teacher. However I know Brad and know he's an awesome cook and teacher. If I were to take anything though, it would be a "skills" class like knives or something like that.
  14. It's just for fun and giving people things to focus on. I figure if I host it on two forums ill be held Accountable
  15. In that price range, you aren't likely to find a Subaur with less than 150k. But as mentioned a few times in here, thats only half life of a subie Quick search of Autotrader in 200 miles is 129 Wagon Subarus between 2500-6000 You'll find something.. Narrowed down to- Car Type:Used Cars Body Style:Wagon Make/Model:Subaru Any Model Year Range:1981 - 2014 Price Range:$2,500 - $4,500 Seller Type:All Sellers Specs:Automatic There are 11. Most are Outbacks. When you ask about backseat room, are you asking for adults or children?
  16. Won't lie, I kinda want it back purely for the mileage.
  17. Whats more shocking is realizing have had it since 2009! I still feel like i just got it. I think its because i had the legacy for SO long. (that was the longest i have ever owned a car.. six years) I put 90K on the legacy in under 3 years driving to mansfield every day.. the XT aint got nothing on it for mileage.
  18. Mine leaks oil, but no, doesn't burn. We're hoping to make it to 200k before we need to do the gaskets. I'm at 145k.. At 100 we did timing belt, water pump brakes, tires.. But it was new to us then, since then the only thing done is suspension and radiator/thermostat. and regular maintenance. We know my car was taken care of till its last 10k before we bought it. The last 10k is suspect.. I digrese...
  19. yah the dissipation has really affected what would have happened tonight.. Oh well, I'm happy with what we got! its so pretty
  20. Simple answer. No. in the 4-5k you can pick up a decent 03-04 BASE model Legacy/Outback/Forrester/impreza. It will likely have 150k miles on it. It will probably have rust on the fenders (subarus are prone) been driven by a granny/mom/old man. The best thing to do with a subaru when you buy it is just to get the basics fixed/done (head gasket, check the tires, look at your brakes and timing belt) The car will then be good for another 100K miles other than oil changes and random OMG something happened that all cars go through.) They are good cars. There are PLENTY subaru owners in the area, and including the knowledge that is on COS and here, you will find a decent car in that range. Don't be afraid to go out of Ohio to avoid rust (i.e. South) it will make up for it in spades in the long haul.
  21. Regular maintenance and snow tires See you in 200K miles. (as said prior to this, Head Gaskets should be replaced on any NA subaru as soon as you get it, IMHO)
  22. Starting January, ill post a up every sunday night a theme. Pics should be taken the week of the PAW So heres how i'd like to work it. Ill take suggestions here, and then post a new challange on Sunday night. All entries will need to be in by Saturday morning, 9am. Ill start a new thread for each week. Im hoping this will keep me accountable for my learning. (im also open to suggestions on how ot run this.) Critique IS encouraged for these. They are way to help me and others grow our skills. However, if you DO NOT want to be critiqued, please make sure to say so. Its ok to be happy with your pics.
