15 years ago, i acquired my first dog as an independent adult, i was barely 19. Mazey has been with me through so much. She's led a blessed life, and at times exciting life. She was diagnosed with a tumor at the beginning of the year and the vet told us it could be days or weeks. Today she started acting weird a few hours after her vet checkup.. we went right back and found out she was bleeding internally likely from the tumor. We put her down at 445 today. This is the second pet we have had to put down the day before valentines day. I hate valentines day. She spent her last days eating whatever i could get her to eat, which included bacon, eggs, baby food, wendys burgers, shredded chicken.. really anything her little tummy would let her eat. Mazeys life story is below this photo, i don't expect you to read it, but if you are interested.. have at it its a little convoluted. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8469/8116553254_76d73b8a67_b.jpg Mazey by Lucky Lola Studios, on Flickr

Oh I wish it was that simple.. The front door of our building is locked on the weekends and when I walk customers out, sometimes we step outside while chatting, I've locked myself out that way, when the door got caught on my jacket and i did a slight jerk to release it and inadvertently shut the door all the way.. Or the studio door typically is in the locked position- I stepped out to go to the restroom, which if I'm by myself I just leave the door open, but I had my dog with me and I wanted to contain her and shut the door.. Luckily the janitor was there and he let me in. Just shit happens..

Yah, have looked at a lot of those sites. You REALLY lose a lot of cash with them. (best offer at gift card granny was 435 for an amazon gift card :gasp: )

Im going to talk about this from a woman's perspective, and that of a woman who sort of goes against the feminine current grain. This si where a HUGE part of the problem is. Parenting needs to return to some of the core values of parenting. NOT ALL OF THEM, but some of them. I think children NEED a parent at home full time. (don't care if its the guy or the girl) Womens liberation was NEEDED for this country but i feel like in a way it has backfired on some women (women like me) I feel like women were SO worried about equality they forgot that having the OPTION to work and be equal does not mean abandon the role of a family, which is raising your family. We have come so far back-assward in the family core that no one knows what end is up! This is where the "you are a unique snowflake" comes from. I don't know how to fix it.. I grew up in a house where my dad was the Dad and Mom. He worked 60 hours a week, and came home and made dinner for us, laid out our clothing and helped us get ready for bed. He had help from family. My aunts were invaluable to him, but it was JUST him. As an adult i knew damn well my children would never have that. I didn't marry just anyone. When i met my husband, i fell in love with him for so many reasons, but i kept i mind i wanted to marry for life, not for love. He was it. I knew that we could build a life together, that he would be a good father, he was responsible, and a good man. People don't look for these qualities anymore, they fall in love and just have to have sex (I don't have an issue with premarital sex) and not think more than a year in advance. These are where the core family values come from, picking a partner for the long term, not the "now" feelings. This is also part of the financial strain on this country as well. No one is thinking of the long term future, just the near future, or even in some cases the instant future. Lord, i could go on for a while about this and chain events to events.. God, Mother Nature, Science have failed my family, and taken my ability to have children, so I have worked very hard to change other things in our life to get back to core family values. Living off the land(gardening), being a GOOD PERSON, helping those around me, these are small ways I can encourage others around me to make small changes in their lives as well. While these little image is geared more towards permaculture (grow food, not grass) i think it pertains to the world we live in now. *oh and on education* Four year degrees should NOT be needed to get a decent job. The other part of the issue is our consumerism. (I am part of this, but i try to reign it in) but the mentality that you build something for a living is SHAMED in this country anymore. If you work in a factory, work with machinery, or are a laborer you are considered lazy, or not smart. We are GUILTED into getting a degree. I hate school. I sure as shit wasn't able to, didn't want to, sit through four years of college when i am now in my 30's and STILL barely know what i want to be when i grow up. Thats bullshit. THAT is why all our jobs are going to china. People are forced to spend ridiculous amounts of money to get a degree that could have been apprenticed. Thats a whole other rant.. *roar*

I CONSTANTly lose keys.. (never permanently, just around the house and what not) I need to make spares to my studio, so dont have to keep calling my studio mates to come rescue me when i accidently lock the door behind me at night.. I cant go to Lowes or places like that because the key is a "Do not copy" key. Any suggestions? I dont need copies for nefarious reasons.. just .. so i can call my husband to come rescue me..

We all remember that horrific wreck last year of the guy who basicly turned a subaru into a cube, and killed the young mother and gave her family exstenesive injuries.. Well the courts did something right for a change and gave this guy maximum penalties.. http://www.10tv.com/content/stories/2013/02/08/delaware-kraft-sentenced-for-drunk-driving-crash-that-killed-mother.html

Westerville installed these in my neighborhood.

Buy a better stroller with AWD wheels? Pet safe melters are bad for concrete and damages it. Also when the city sees fit to consider my street part of my neighborhood and decides its worthy to plow, ill worry about shoveling. -

Fuck that.. As strange as this sounds, I actually enjoy shoveling show. I will do two of my neighbors driveways for them (one is a senior couple in their 80s, the other has heart problems) AWD takes care of my driveway. I also feel like if I shovel the driveway ill have to put salt Down, which is bad for doggy feets. I feel like if you are walking your dog and they can not fall down, so can you. -

Considering the 02s were among the death trap trucks of the f150s that forced ford to do a major redesign, that kind is damage isn't surprising. No doubt in my kind it's totaled.
