  1. Me too, but some people have more money than sense.
  2. Actually will be installing one of these in a month or so. the 20k quote was about right.
  3. would make a good track bike. already beat up, no worries about wrecking it. The tire on my bike looked similar to that when I bought it. Not reassuring, but the rest of it was near flawless.
  4. Im in south dayton. Call if thats close and u wanna ride sometime 9037479
  5. I have done wheelies on my TTR125 no problem. Feels just like doing them on a BMX bike 30 years ago. Don't even have to think about it. But (for me) doing them on a sportbike would be a lot more nerve-racking. Maybe its because I have a lot more dough to loose if I loop it. The only wheelie Ive ever done on a sportbike was one time, and NOT intentional. Was sitting fairly upright, and cracked the throttle a bit too hard on my 10. Up it went. About filled my shorts. What I want to learn is how NOT to do a wheelie on my 10.
  6. Would like to go, but will be at family reunion in Chicago

  11. Brian. did you get my message? I'd like to thank Matt G and tell him I ended up getting too hot/weak to make the final run. I think he was going to be waiting on me, but I couldn't find him to tell him.
  12. Didnt see this thread before I went. And computers been down since I got back, so didnt see it till just now. Luckily I got to pit w you guys anyway. Glad I got to meet many of you. Thanks to Josh and all the others who helped me get my plastics transferred over. Hopefully I'll have the 7 running for next time. (Then all I can blame my slow speeds on is my riding abilities:D) Hope I didnt hold too may of you back;)
  13. Thanks. Good to know. They called and said it was a bad exhaust butterfly actuator, which I suspected after a resistance test of my own. Lot quicker than middletown. One of the control riders at Putnam yesterday thought the ft brakes were very soft. Vista wrote it off as the known zx10 brake issues in that generation. No fix other than the stuff ive read on forums. (stainless lines, etc) he did say I had a loose triple tree bearing. Is this a normal wear item, like adjusting wheel bearings? He tried to imply it was due to doing wheelies. I dont do wheelies.
  14. Opinions? Good? Bad? Indifferent? Last time I was there was about 30 years ago when I bought my first moped. middletown was 2 weeks behind and wouldnt let me schedule a date, telling me I had to leave it there the entite time. So, i took the zx10 in to vista for a fi light, under warranty. Just curious of others experience
