  1. yea....some people just got to stir the waters....can't make it easy ....anyhow....I think verizon is going the way of the airlines with all their stupid fees to nickle and dime everyone. Pretty soon, there will be fees to access your bill and they will eliminate the free mobile to mobile and evenings and weekends....but verizon is still the system with the best coverage and largest network....so I guess I'll stick with them. Guess I got a little testy when someone says I can't add and puts words in my mouth that I didn't say. Damn snow....makes everyone touchy and quick to fire off a few rounds.
  2. Hey, I so fu_king happy you know everything. I have been with Cellular One...then it became Airtouch....and then Verizon since the very begining. When I renewed with them the price of the phone with a 2yr contract was $199 and they gave me my $100 mail in rebate. I had a instant $100 coupon from another source so I paid $99.00 when I picked up the phone. Once I got the rebate back for $100.00 (which was a credit card) it made my cost a minus $1.00. I used the card at my business so I got the full amount instead of what happens when the majority of people get them...they usually leave some $money on the card unless they purchase something greater than the amount and have to make up the difference with cash or another card.
  3. They are saying that current subscribers will get one more upgrade. I believe that if enough people (verizon customers) complain and let them know that it may cause them to lose their customer base. The powers to be can sometimes be reasoned with. But then again.... I have bought all my phones off ebay or other such sources in the internet with the exception of my current one.
  4. Gee, I always got $100 off. In fact last June I upgraded to the Droid Incredable and it was $199 and I had a coupon for an additional $100, so it only cost me -$1.00:)
  5. way way too funny yet so so so true. And the bit about who said it was a she is so revelant to the suburb.
  6. thanks, but it is just a stock one.....usually use pics of my bikes....

  7. cause of the speed you might be holding.....a lot of bikers like to keep the speed up to the higher limit of the road. Yea, to take that corner at the higher speed would lay the bike over farther than you or the bike is capable of....so you either have to slow down or reduce the curvature of the road (increase the radius of the curve) and that is done by using more of the road.
  8. Not only that...but you have just expanded your riding season ;-)
  9. I have ridden OH555 and there are a lot of corners where you can see everything and anything coming at you and if there is a sharp corner, I will go over...BUT ONLY IF I KNOW IT IS CLEAR. I agree that the pic doesn't allow you to know exactly where he is... so maybe or maybe not he is a dumb fcuk ! Oh, and by the way.... there are a lot of straight aways on the triple nickle.... some are just not very long:)
  10. Sale ended yesterday.... but I found ( 1 ) at a local store up here and they honored the sale price.... got it for $297.00 not too bad.
  11. I don't believe that the HF trailer has an 2000lb axel...think it is smaller and I don't believe that any of those hub/drums will fit. Usually don't find brakes on anything smaller than 2k..... my covered trailer has dual 3.5 k axels and they have the brakes on all four wheels.
  12. Is that what they mean when they talk about " poke a friend "

  14. Even though it comes from down under...one of the very best videos on the subject I've ever seen. Music is perfect also. REM's "Everybody Hurts" http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=Z2mf8DtWWd8
  15. So is this place in the mall or out on the parkway?
  16. Totally awesome! Wouldn't want any one of those after my ass.
  17. still riding and won't put it up until snow comes and looks like it is going to stay. Rode it Sat, Sun, and Today..... heavy rain tomorrow with lowering temps...probably take the suv.
  18. Again, the majority of traffic light sensors are the inductive type. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/car-driving-safety/safety-regulatory-devices/question234.htm
  19. Actually, if you put your engine block over the corner, that will work much better. I have a light at the end of my street that will sometimes not change for me. I keep telling myself that I need to call the traffic dept. and have them adjust the sensitivity and keep forgetting to do it. Maybe next spring I'll get around to it, until then, I just wait till all clear and run it.
  20. Again, mis-information.....it is not a magnetic loop, but an inductance loop. Your metal vehicle within the loop increases the inductance in the circuit and thus signals the light to cycle. As stated above, putting your bike right over the wire and especially at the corner should help increase the inductance. But if that fails, again as stated above, call the town's traffic dept and ask that they adjust the sensitivity of the loop.
  21. did alot of rides this year to make up for 09.... lost all of last year due to the accident. Put on over 6k. Did OHIO555, US129, NC28, BGP and alot of interstate highways to and from.
  22. I got my HJC SY-MAX II at the International Motorcycle Show (CycleWorld) on a show special $220 rather than the $289 retail. Modular helmet with built in retractable sunglasses. Great system ! Removable washable interior linings. various flip-up face shields. I highly reccomend it.

  24. For a fairly newbe to this forum, it begs me to ask what DTC stands for. I will be showing my 74 CB750 K4 in the VJMC booth again this year. Might have my 65 C100 Cub there also.
  25. Nelson used to be a great track. I used to race 4 wheel stuff there. Ecomomy and such has taken a toll on it and I'm not sure that the SCCA will continue there if they can find something better nearby. Shame. Used to be a great track and I would like to run two wheels there someday.
