So that still only allows me to post a url pic. Not one from a subdirectory in my harddrive. There should be an icon that allows an attachment or an insert of a photo from your computer. It looks like I would have to upload to something like photobucket and then do an url insert.

how do i put a photo from my computer into a posting???? all I see is a url option

CRAP for me that is so true 3.1 miles from home to shop. the last 2 tenths is where the true heat kicks in

3/8" longer and about 4.5 oz. heaver than the LC9s and 2 rounds fewer capacity with a lot more recoil than the LC9s....but i like a 45 ! Doesn't matter as much as to shot placement when you are putting that big 230 grain black talon out the end. Anything in the center mass area is going to wreck havac on that body. As I remember hearing a women once saying….it is hard not to bleed a lot out of a almost ½” hole. I keep the Xds mostly at home with an occaisional concealed carry. If and when I can get the truglo brite sights on it, I might carry it more. I keep the S&W M&P Shield 9 at my place of work for protection on the premises. The XDs comes with a fiber optic front and plain white dot rear. Not real effective in low light situtations. I do have the crimison trace in it. I actually find it a pleasure to shoot and find that my groups are sometimes much better than I would have thought possible with that big of a caliber and that short of a barrel (3.3”). Overall, I like it and the LC9s much better than the S&W M&P Shield 9

Not sure why you would say that...Colt 1911 45 has it and many many versions and re-makes of it have it. Like the crimson trace, if you grab the gun to shoot it, it is already activated unlike the LC9 & s & the M&P Shield which have a physical safety which one must switch on or off. In a panic situation it could be easily forgotten and the delay in having to turn it off might make the difference in you coming out alive. One of the things I do like about the XDs45. I am waiting for TruGlo to make the brite sights for the XDs and the S&W M&P 9 Shield. They are fantastic.

Well, as I stated earlier, everyone has their own style of shooting and likes and dislikes on stances, positions, weapons, and their systems. There is NO perfect answer for any of those. What fits my hand nicely might be too large or small for yours. What helps me keep my group tight may make your look like a shotgun blast. I had no issue with the fit of either LC9 or the s. Are there things that Ruger could improve on in their design...sure. But for an EDC piece, it works for me very nicely. All my holsters for it have a spare mag pouch and I have an additional mag in its own belt pouch. Someone mentioned that they would like the grip to be larger and have adapters like the XDs has and at first I thought yeah...that would be great. But then I realized that the LC9s is a very thin and easy concealable gun and to do that would make it fatter than it needs to be. Is it a gun that I would use to daily target shoot with....NO....it is a gun that I use to protect my life with. I shoot it often enough to stay proficient with. I did feel that they could eliminate the external safety and add a backstrap safety, but it would also add weight to the gun. So, again, nothing is perfect. Just have to find the one that works for you and that you can live with.

The LC9s is a totally different gun from the LC9. I bought the lc9 for it's size and easy concealment but found the very long trigger pull to be very annoying and lending itself to trigger jerks. The LC9s is the striker fire version and it compares well with the S&W M&P Shield 9 and the XDs45. I almost wish that Ruger had given it a complete different designation since it is so different from the original. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes and shooting styles. Only ridicule others points of view when it doesn't agree with their own version of life as they see it. It is like watching TV cop shows. I get a kick watching them going through & clearing a building holding their weapon out at a full arms distance and swinging it stiff arm all over the place. Good way to lose your weapon and your life. Crimson Trace has a great video on their site showing the capabilities & uses of the CTL . & yes, it is a self promotion video, but it still offers great insight into the advantages and uses of the laser. Neat thing about the CTL is it comes on with just gripping the gun, but release middle finger pressure and it is off. What I also love is the new TruGlo night brite sights....they really do glow in the dark and only toward the back of the gun...front is black so your target sees nothing except muzzle flash. By the way...I have been shooting pistol since the late 60's and served with Cleveland PD for a number of years. Still have and use a few revolvers even in a concealed manner.

Oh come on now....don't hold back....tell us how your really feel ;-)

Baller....really. since you don't know me at all, pretty judgmental of you. All I was stating was a fact that one can pull from holster and bring on target and fire while the handgun is still at waist level. I do have truglo brite-site TFO Tritium sights on my LC9S but love the crimison trace setup since it is so intuitive to use. Both systems work really well and are a pleasure to have and use.
-
Not me...I prefer my crimson trace. I can get two shots off into your mass before you have got your gun up to your eye level and take aim. Got them on my XDs45, M&P Shield9, & LC9s. Sighted in for 15yds and anything from there to me.

I have been going every year since 2008 and have to admit that each year, it seems it is a little smaller. But, if you have never been to one, then I would have to agree with bad234 & say it will be worth your while and suggest that you go on the Saturday.

I don't believe I said anything about just picking up your plain old lexan at the hardware store. I did state that it needs to be the layered kind with the special laminate between the plates. It is used in a lot of the armored vehicles due to the plastic weight vs glass. One of it's attributes is that it melts around the bullet and basically grabs a hold of it as it tries to pass through.
-
I am surprised no one has mentioned Polycarbonate (lexan). Bullet proof glass in plastic. In combination with the steel armor plate, should be able to stop anything up to a 50cal ap. When used in layers with the special film laminate, it will stop 3006 ap even without the steel armor plate

Shouldn't he be charged with homicide of a police officer? If the dog was killed by a perp, they would charged with that! I can't believe that they would allow him to continue working in that dept. SHAME ON MONTVILLE!

I ddi not do a table. I was mainly there to get rid of some stuff & to pass out some business cards to a lot of the dealers there.
-
I will be at the Berea Show on Sunday if anyone has a gun that you need the sights done on. I will be doing same day , one day , or two day service on sights.
-
I don't see anything for the XDS, just for the XD which is different I believe. The sight pro tool has a different slide adapter for them, although the dovetails for the sights may be the same & inter-changable. Those are nice sights even if they are a bit pricy. It also looks like the mfg doesn't allow any price discounting since every web site has them for $89.99

I have a Springfield XDs 45 myself. Right now, I am looking at the Williams Fire Sight or the Dawson when it is released this year to put on it. All of my CCW guns also have Crimson Trace Lasers on them. Sights on the guns are for target shooting. Sorry to hear about your LC9 problems. Mine is fully operational and I actually prefer it to the M&P9 Shield or the XDs45 because of the size and lightness. Also, last time at the range, it gave me my tightest shot groupings.
-
Just put the new Williams fiber optic Fire Sights in the Ruger LC9. This unit is a total breeze to remove and install sights. Total time from start to finish was about 10-15 minutes on the front. Majority of the time was tweaking the front sight to be perfectly centered on the slide by using a digital micrometer.
-
Do you have their dedicated unit or the sight pro with the slide blocks for the glock & sig? I was really impressed with the quality and heaftyness of this unit over anything else out there. Check out this video on the unit....

So I decided I own enough guns that I need a sight pusher/installation tool. Shipping at actual costs if you can’t come to me. My shop is in South Euclid. 216-297-2977 I have been using the williams firesights and I can also get the Dawson Precision sight sets in or the Tru-Glo.
